I WILL NEVER USE U-HAUL EVER AGAIN. First mistake— I booked my pick up time online via my mobile but nowhere on the site did it mention that the times were central times, not eastern so I was THREE HOURS EARLY to pick up the van. And you can only pick up 30 mins early. So instead of 6:30pm being my anticipated pick up time, it was in fact 9:30pm— way too late to get anything done. The next morning my van was stolen. But it seems as though this is an often occurrence since not a single person wanted to help me . The most guidance I got was “file a police report and call us back”. Well when I called back with the police report number, nobody wanted to take it down, I kept getting transferred from one department to another. And every single person I spoke with said “I don’t deal with stolen vehicles. Even equipment recovery said that! Worst customer service ever. Nobody wanted to work, nobody wanted to do a little research to help a customer. I quickly realized your people are not going to do another persons job, because they don’t even want to do their own… By this point I was so tired of being transferred around and not getting anywhere so I gave up. Luckily, the cop called me the very next morning and told me they recovered the van and would connect with you guys. I assumed the matter would’ve been handled by then. But on Saturday, May 9, I get a receipt stating that I was charged $624?!?! How this number came about I have no idea considering the van was dropped off, or should’ve been dropped off hours before I even planned on bringing it and that total was only going to be $86. Again, I attempted to contact somebody who could help me resolve this and to get a refund however it was nobody’s job apparently. I guess nobody was trained on how to help with stolen vehicles or they simply just didn’t want to.

If I had another option to rent from someone else I would. Asking customers, repeat customers at that, to find two other contacts that must answer the phone in order for me to rent is ridiculous. That information should be collected at time of reservation, not as I am literally trying to pick up my vehicle.

JAMEEL AThis family-owned U-Haul location went above and beyond to make sure I had a seamless experience. I just needed a van to transport a single large piece of furniture. When I asked about renting ratchet tie-down straps, they said they did not have any formally available to rent, but the owner let me borrow one of his own at no extra charge. The van itself was perfectly clean and well-maintained, and same-day pick-up/drop-off went without a hitch. I will definitely rent from this location again if the need arises!

KRISTINA SHi, I received the vehicle with the fuel level at 88%. When returning the car, it was difficult to determine how much fuel would be sufficient to match that exact level. To avoid any potential penalty, I ended up refilling the tank to 100%. This situation was inconvenient and unfair, as it is very challenging to estimate the precise amount of fuel needed to return the vehicle to exactly 88%. I previously contacted customer service to request a refund for the additional fuel cost, but my request was declined. Given the circumstances, I would appreciate it if you could consider offering a discount voucher or credit toward a future rental as a gesture of goodwill. Thank you for your time and consideration. MASOUD HThey forgot the furniture blankets and all other locations were closed by the time I went to pick up the truck and had to start loading it. If they’re out of blankets or don’t want to leave them in the back of the truck, they need to communicate that beforehand so the customer can go rent them from a location that’s willing and able to provide them.

CLYDE CMy experience with this location was outstanding. My overall experience was very bad. I reserved a truck from a different location and when I went to pick it up there was no truck there. When I called customer service they said I was supposed to receive a call but it was never made and there was no truck nearby. I had to wait until the next day to get a truck which I feel was unacceptable. What is the point of reserving a truck and it not being available??
