My one issue was with the truck itself, not the rental business. The 10 foot truck, at least the one I had, did not allow the driver to tilt the steering wheel. Because I’m only 5 foot 2, I spent the entire moving time with the steering wheel in my line of sight through the windshield. It was nerve wracking and I didn’t feel safe. Thank you.
CHERYL BI rented a U-haul trailer for a cross country move. When I picked up the trailer, they helped hook it up, checked everything and said it was good to go. After we loaded it and were getting ready to leave, we noticed there were no running lights on the trailer. We called roadside assistance and they came out to look over the trailer and said it was a wiring issue with the trailer. We had to push back our move which caused a lot of complications due to reserved hotels, etc. We took the trailer back to the U-haul rental location and they had no idea what they were doing. They hooked up several other trailers and kept doing this and that and they said it was just an issue with my car, not their trailer. A U-haul employee from another location overheard and stepped in to help. She was absolutely amazing! She helped me fix the fuse in my car, and then hook up a different trailer. The lights on the original trailer still didn't work but they did on another trailer. The U-haul rental place said there wasn't anyone to help unload our trailer to switch it over to a different one but they could have their son and some other guy help. My 65 year old father had to leave work to come help unload and reload the trailers in 90+ degree weather. He did 99% of the unloading and loading. I was on the phone with U-haul who informed me that there is a service where they have people come out in these situations to help unload and reload if there is technical issues with their equipment. The trailer they gave me was an "upgrade" but not all of our stuff fit in it so I had to leave some items behind. I am very displeased with this. We should have NEVER been able to leave the lot without running lights. That is their responsibility to ensure their equipment is safe. It's actually part of their guarantee/contract to ensure the equipment is road safe.
SKYLER CThank you! I made it to my destination just fine. For periods during driving the vehicle felt like it was very bouncy. I’d switch lanes still happened. It may be the tire alignment or balancing?? But other than that, 10 miles to the gallon and what I expected. Thank you all!
ELIZABETH STruck was clean but ABS light, tow pkg. trouble light and traction control trouble light were all on when I picked up the vehicle. Was hesitant to rent but there were no issues while I had it
JOSEPH DHad reserved a 10 foot truck. They tried to force me into taking a 20 foot truck at the same price, but did not want to drive a 20 ft. truck to Chicago. The ended up letting drive a 15 foot truck, but she wanted it back to this location instead of dropped off in Chicago. Although I was given a credit for 200 miles, the rental still ended up costing me almost twice as much as my initial reservation.

Ryan PIT STARTED FROM PORTAGE RD UHAUL THEY HAD RESEVE ATRAILER IN THREE RIVERS WHEN I GOT THEIR IT WAS RENTED SO I HAD TO BACK PORTAGE LOVERS LANE LOCATION AND GET THE TRAILER UNHAUL ON PORTAGE ROAD IS TERRIABLE I WILL NOT REFER ANY ONE GO TO LOVERS LANE UNHAUL
DEON A45 min in line to get to the counter. And another 20 min in line to get the actual truck. THEN when the truck pulled up it was HUGE. I said "we ordered a 20ft truck, they said "this is what we have, it's a free upgrade". I didn't need or want a 26 foot monster truck! I was actually trying to decide if I even need the 20ft truck and was leaning towards a smaller truck when I ordered it online. If they had asked "do you want a bigger truck" I would have said NO. The outside guy told us "you can go back inside and wait in line to see what else we might have", after already waiting around for an hour- NO THANK YOU. Thank goodness we were abe to get to where we were going and unload quickly so we could turn the truck in the same day... we would have no place to overnight a 26 foot truck!

ROBERT DBetter confirmation that the store will have the supplies we need. We were passed around to 3 stores, original Reservation didn’t have equipment , sent to another one and they had it but it didn’t work for our one way trip, had to go to next location .

Michael AAt this location there was a better attempt at customer service. The woman in charge made a copy of my agreement and took a screen shot of my email information. She seemed puzzled that I was dropping the truck off there. Overall , not a good impression of U-haul or its employees.
JOHN BStaff was very helpful and friendly and I was very satisfied. I would suggest that fuel tanks be full went rented. It's a bit of a hassel to pick up the truck and then have to go to a gas station to fill the tank. Also trying to have exactly the same amount of fuel in the partially filled tank that was there at the time of rental upon return is also a hassel. Full out ...Full in... is easy.

JODI AHonestly, both trucks I drove felt that they needed engine work maybe transmission they both had lights on that wouldn’t shut off. I was kind of disappointed.
JODI AWe dropped off on Easter Sunday and did not expect to find an open place. The woman we spoke with was very nice and helpful. We are renting another truck next week and will choose this location again.

Jeffrey VI dropped the truck off at 3:30 on April 6. I had to call the location on April 7 because the person never credited me for returning the truck. U haul had texted me asking when was I going to return the truck.
