My reservation was canceled by the manager of the store, who is yet to contact me after messages from a Uhaul Customer Service representative. This led to being over charged and not having a drop off location. Horrible customer service from the employees and management.Madison C.
The truck smelled very strongly like burnt cigarette butts. I had to drive with the windows down during 35 degree weather to avoid feeling sick. Also the middle compartment was staged and locked in an up position. It would not come down, so I did not have a cup holder for my hot coffee which spilled while driving. I did not expect that I would have to use a friend's shovel to unbury the trailer from the snow and to then have to break off 2â€-3â€ of ice, piece by piece, the full length of the trailer in order to use it properly. Took me 15 minutes. I RSVP'd the trailer, so they knew I was coming. Also, I had to go to another location (another hour) to have a part replaced because the strapping was cut too short to even use. i.e.- check out the product and make sure it useable before a customer is scheduled to pick it up.GREGORY H.

Not specific to the location but I reserved the trailer beforehand, then called to confirm availability, since I was arriving from out of town and on a tight schedule. When I arrived, the trailer had not been returned and I spent a couple of extra hours getting a trailer from another location. This was a very poor experience and I will look for another company other than Uhaul to rent from next time.Jason E.

We knocked on the door on a Monday afternoon to drop off the truck. No one answered. Rang the bell, no response. I called the phone number posted on the door AND THEN a woman came to the door and asked if we were calling her. She said she would e-mail the receipt. Do you want the mileage and gas? I will e-mail you the receipt. We returned 19 of 20 U-Haul blankets and expected a refund for the clean return of the blankets, minus the one that was not intact. No refund.kathrene D.

The crew who was there on Sunday when we picked up the car dolly was pretty much uninformed. While we had a confirmation number, they did not know how to get it or what to do with it. There was a small lady, probably mid 50's who was limited in body strength and was not familiar with trailer hook up. Another maintenance guy showed up and we got it hooked up but it was very unprofessional.FRANK G.

From start to finish I was not impressed. The lady at the desk was kind enough, however the fact that she had to run my card 2 through a weird scanner, even though there was a chip reader sitting next to me, made me uncomfortable. Third time she typed in my CC info, in google chrome which automatically asks to save the card info. I immediately pull up my bank info to let her know that it's already charged and she needs to cancel whatever she's doing. Secondly, the guy who hooked up the trailer to our truck clearly had touched MAYBE one other trailer in his life. He wouldn't let us talk him through it, even though it was completely unsafe the way he was hooking it up. I get it, however, trying to let us drive away with that was grossly irresponsible. He did call the lady to double check his work, however, even then, take the extra charge for insurance because that was the most insane thing I've ever witnessed.Amanda K.

The equipment was clean and performed well overall. The windshield wiper on the driver's side was not working well at all, resulting in dangerous conditions when driving through several rain showers.zael L.

This place is 1 step up from a crack house. Worst in the area. What a dump. I was lucky enough to be able to rent a car trailer the following week from a different location. I talked with 3 people that have the same feelings about this place. I will never go back unless it is my only option. Sadly, that was the case this time.Kevin M.

The reservation system for this rental failed. I requested a rental in Coldwater online and received a confirmation. The next day I received a telephone call telling me I could not obtain a rental in Coldwater and was given a different confirmation for Battle Creek. The following day I received a call telling me the confirmation for Battle Creek was not good and received a new confirmation for a different location in Battle Creek. The following day I receive another telephone call saying Battle Creek would not work and then given a new reservation for Portage. Thankfully the Portage reservation worked. In my opinion this was too many rental cancellations for something I was reserving 4 days in advance.Allen U.
