Easy to find and easy parking for the trucks. Plexiglass between staff and customers. Staff had masks on and hand sanitizer available. This was not the fault of the location. I was called the day before my reservation and told the 15' truck I reserved was not available, and the only truck available in 75 miles was a 10' truck at a different location 30 miles away in Porterville. I'm inclined to not use U-haul again due to this experience.Nathan H.

They need to speed up the process. They couldn't print the complete contract. They didn't have the equipment ready and then when they were going to get the equipment, they didn't have it. Very disappointed. When it was time to inspect the truck, they had not marked the damage so we had to wait even longer for them to do that. Not a great experience.Kristina C.

The U-Haul Website said this location was open at 8 a.m. on Sunday. It was not open and the parking lot was fenced and locked. I didn't dress for unhooking the trailer myself, so it was time-consuming and dirty to do. There was also another person at the location trying to pick up a truck and couldn't reach anyone on the phone to help.Maia K.
The dealer did not know how to correctly install the auto transporter. It was unsafe. I had to travel to the next town and go to an official U-Haul to have them remount my tongue and correctly install the trailer as it was too low. They reconnected the chains properly and got me going. I understand that her husband is the one that knows how to do all this however he was not present and that is not an excuse. When a customer rents something, he should be present, period.David X.

I ordered 15 ft van for 30,00 a day, with a trailer with a ramp, about 100,00 for the use, Went there the day before to make sure I had the right place. I was told I ordered a 20 ft for 40.00 a day, no I did notand they did not have the trailer either, all they had was a 5x8. nothing going right.So all the had was 20 ft for 40.. they day I picked up, all they had was 26 ft for 40 a day. So I had no choice but to take the 26 ft. I ahd plan this out, and husband took day off work. NO CHIOICE , they did not have any thing I reserved, and did not keep the price to what I had ordered. They wait til you have to get going or not at all. Plus their computers weren't working I had to pay cash, and when I returned it , it was to the store beside them, they weren't open. They refused to checked the truck with me. I brought it back clean , a lot of extra gas, plus no locking gas cap, people can steal from them at any time. Which I told the people I returned the truck to. But they did not care. I had to come back another day to pay them for the extra miles. No one at the store knew anything. I like to pay my bills and not have to make extra trips. This rental was a big mess from the beginning. I ordered a van and got a big ass truck, and I ordered a trailer ,no trailer. I had to pay way more than I ordered and no 50.00 for not having what I ordered when I got there. A BIG MESScharolette M.

When I picked up the uhual on Sunday. I opened the door to the cab and there was white long pet hair everywhere really bad. But it was the only truck they had available for a one way to manteca. So I took it anyway. I had to Explain what happened at the drop off location. I was not happy about it. But the lady at the drop off location in manteca was very understanding and took it as is anyway. She did however make a remark that she was going to be getting into contact with the uhaul in prterville to discuss how there maintenance for vehicles are poor.Amanda S.

The trailer I reserved was unavailable when I went to pick it up. Calls to the U-Haul reservation phone number did not resolve the situation. The trailer I finally decided to rent had motor grease in the bed when I went to pick it up. I had to clean the grease off to prevent it from getting on the items I planned to put in the trailer. Make the sell boxes back program more efficient. I will not move with uhaul again. I was so impressed with the ease and fast delivery of the boxes I ordered (a complete set for 3 bedrooms) and pleased with the amount of boxes I ordered. However, none of the local uhaul places near by me were a part of the program. I had to drive 43 miles out of my way to find a location that bought back the boxes then when I arrived, after already calling customer service two times to clarify what I'd need, I was told I could return any of the boxes because the online order would need to be shipped back because the online orders aren't given receipts. That is stupid. I wasted, my time, my energy and my money on a program that appeared to be simple but it really inconvenienced me far more than going to the local Home Depot to buy the moving materials I needed.Michael E.
