I was informed that the truck had at least half a tank of gas, but upon checking, it had less than a quarter tank, I will be more than happy to provide the photo for verification. When I attempted to start the truck, it wouldn’t start, and I they had to jump-start it to get it running.

Have a truck available at the location I chose. I was sent 30 minutes away from the original location to pick up a truck. I chose a 15’ truck and was told that they only had a 20’ truck available at the second location. We were also told that we’d be charged for the same price as a 15’ truck. LIES!

The windshield looked like someone used their hand to wipe the inside. It was smeared to where it made it very hard to see to drive, especially in the sunlight. The A/C blower did not work. I took a picture of the gas gauge at 1/4 full and showed the place of drop off it was on 1/4 at the time of drop off and was still billed for two gallons of fuel. 16992901 reservation had a subtotal of $871 and when I returned the original the trailer the 16897863 came out to be $1011.21. somehow my card was charged $1064.18. None of these numbers match and somehow wires got crossed between dropping off the original order for a trailer to exchange it for a truck. I picked up after hours so I was not handed a receipt. The email I received was not a receipt at pick-up. I appreciate your attention to this matter and kindly ask to be billed fairly and what was on the original receipt without the added insurance that was not on the original and a swap from the trailer to the truck should have been done. They refunded the trailer, then charged me a new transaction. After that they went back and reviewed the first reservation then gave credit for the trailer towards the truck. My request as a simple fix to all of this, is simple, $700 total charge to my card, and reverse the fuel charge. I do not feel I am being unreasonable. I always try to reach an understanding where everyone is happy. Original was $871 - 171 = $700 total, only seems fair to all parties involved. Malak was extremely helpful in walking me through after hours pick-up and getting a code. He knew his business and how to walk a customer through technology to ensure a good experience.

U-Haul charged me $10 extra for "extra miles" for some strange reason. I tried to return to the 3939 Gandy Blvd. as instructed but it was closed. I was redirected to this restaurant where I left it. The 11 miles to this place instead put me over mileage and this the charge. Never again, U-Haul. Where is my $10? Why? Penske? Home Depot? Yes.

The person who was providing the Uhual Truck had too many tasks on hand. He was taking orders, telling the cook the orders, serving, and being the cashier. Among all of this, the cell phone did not allow the process to be completed promptly - more than 50 minutes in the restaurant.

They didn't bring the truck around for me. They also were in the middle of serving breakfast and the person helping me had to stop multiple times to take people's food orders. It was a 1 way uhaul and they gave me no final destination, they only told me to call the nearest uhaul when I got to my destination. When I did that and showed up to the nearest uhaul, I was informed that there was a number on my receipt that I was supposed to call that this place didn't mention at all. Overall not a great experience and with so many places having uhauls, I will avoid this place in the future.

There was no office only a drop box on the wall and we returned the vehicle in the afternoon. Tried to call to insure we were ok to leave the vehicle in the location which we had to assume was a flooded dirt parking area behind the building. No one answered the phone when we called to inform that we had returned the vehicle and was unable to leave a message. Would definately not recommend this location for a return.

The cargo van was infested with German roaches. The front and alignment was dangerously disregarded and not serviced, stunk like cigarettes a body odor . U-Haul has done nothing to compensate me for the German roaches getting into my property nor have they contacted me at all.

The location was like going to skid row. The truck was a pig sty: a very large amount of coffee spilled in the cup holder, piles of sand everywhere, it had been smoked in recently and a lot (the ash tray still had residual ashes in it and there was a vanilla air "freshener" hanging from the shift lever), animal hair everywhere (massive amounts in the seat cracks), a really dirty realtor business card in the cup holder, bark chips scattered on the floor. The windshield had not been cleaned. It was literally sticky-dirty. Everything I touched had a very sticky feeling. It was pathetically gross! The back of the truck where my stuff was loaded was filthy and leaked! I took a multitude of pictures. PATHETIC!

The cargo van we picked up was full of sand/dirt. We had to clean it ourselves and put moving blankets on the floor to protect our furniture. The cab had trash and sand/dirt on the floor and the dash wash full of dust. Our reservation got changed from one location to another, but I don't think that was the reason the van wasn't clean.

This had to be the worst most unprofessional and unpleasant experiences I have ever had. The customer service was beyond terrible. I utilize uhaul quite frequently but after this experience at this mom & pop restaurant I will definitely make uhaul the last on my list before any other rental company.

The trailer was on a dirty field with a cardboard box and full of leaves because it was lying under a bush. It seemed that it had been abandoned for a long time. I hesitated to take it with me but I wanted to trust U-HAUL. Then, when I entered the place, I had to wait because he dispenses food. to your clients, taking my time like this I know that sometimes you have to wait but 45 minutes is a long time when I rent and have to look for a team and it is there I cancel the reservation

The owner was very negative, cranky and big on the word NO. Made me come and pick the truck up early as he wanted to go home before my SCHEDULED pickup time. He was too lazy to even walk around the truck with me and explain safety equipment and clearance heights. The truck was old and ratty but the tires were good and the engine never got hot. The interior was clean. It was a long day in the truck but it never missed a beat. I would rent from uhaul again but would NEVER return to this location. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

The biggest problem is that a homeless man was asleep in the back of the truck I was picking up. Also, the original drop off was way put of my way and it was almost impossible to get help to fix the problem.

he tried too over charge me, taking me for a dummy. he charge me for safety insurance without even asking me ($14.00); when i came in after usage i asked him how much he was going to charge my card; he said, i'll send you a receipt (as like i did not want my receipt now). i again, asked him how much you are going to charge my card? he took out his smart phone pulled up my info then he said $192.00 dollars on a $29.00 dollar rental w/utility dolly($7.00). my total mileage driven was 63 miles, starting out with a 1/4 full take of gasoline and returned with 1/4 tank full of gasoline. he said they made a mistake; they had me down for two days. i let him run he's spill for awhile, then he said : oh, i made a mistake i'm looking at someone's else account. so, when i knew he was off by much--since i rent uhauls all the time--he refigured my numbers and came into the range which was acceptable (minus the insurance charge), because i didn't ask for it; and he told me i did. i just got tired of going back and forth with this person; i since that he was dirty in his dealings. so when he reach a reasonable amount after seeing my net day amount (receipt) i left. point i'm making if i would have left and went along with his word that he is going to send me a receipt; i would have been out of $56.00 additional dollars, with the $14.00 dollars insurance he charged, i would have been overcharge approximately $70.00 dollars and some change.00cents. this is my experience with this uhaul renter, just bad!

I was bounced around several locations with individuals who barely spoke English. Had no idea they were part of U-Haul because no signs indicated U-Haul anywhere on the building. Run down, disheveled, and very uncomfortable location. I would have not wanted to drop the truck off there at night.

Deliver truck promised, deliver truck in timely fashion, have more staff at locations, do not charge for fuel when van was topped off at drop off. In all my years using U-Haul this was the worst experience.

The UHaul registration process is almost helpful, but I’m not sure why it requires you to put in your driver’s information onsite when that can be completed prior to pickup. There are WAY too many steps to take on arrival, more of it should be offloaded to the registration process. For whatever reason, the location I picked up from only showed “return vehicle” even though I didn’t have the keys yet, and I had to wait 15 minutes to get it sorted out through the various menus on the site. All in all it should be more streamlined.

My initial location, a mile from me, was said to have no trucks available due to Covid precautions. I had to go to this location, and saw no problem as I needed the truck for my move. I get into the vehicle and I see dust, sunflower seed shells, pet hair, and open containers of Zaxby's sauce in the cabin. I had to go home and wipe down the cabin for my own healths sake, but I would absolutely not ever recommend this place to anyone. Disgusting truck.

I had to go to two locations to get a U-haul. I had a reservation at Mikes Food Mart in Tampa, FL. I showed up and they had no trucks… even though I had an appointment and it said guaranteed truck or we will give you $50 online. The man was no help and I had to drive to another location and pay even more money for a uhaul because they only had the larger uhaul available (I only needed the small one). I think for the inconvenience I should have been given the option to at least pay the same price for the different size trucks at I was guaranteed apparently to get the uhaul at mikes food mart but there was none there. I might use a different company in future or if I had a big move coming up because the guaranteed policy online wasn’t accurate. I did have a good experience at the Martha’s place location, but it was out of the way for me and I had to pay those extra miles.

They need to have someone to help. The man was taking customers food order and trying to the contract for U Haul. It took a hour just to rent a truck. Then made a statement to me I could go somewhere else and get one. Had there been any available elsewhere, I would have. It was much easier returning it. That gentleman, was more prepared.
