This was the worst experience I have ever had renting with Uhaul. I will let everyone I know not to rent from Uhaul, especially the location I rented from. I went to the Exxon to pick up the truck and it was not cleaned or inspected before given to me. I watched a customer drop the truck off and come in with the keys as I was checking in. As soon as I was done with my check in the Owner gave me the keys to that same truck. Since this was the case I checked the speedometer myself. When I tried to return the truck the day it was scheduled for drop off by 5 pm, I arrived at 4:30pm and stood and waited until 5:30pm for the gas station clerk to help me return the truck. Since it was past 5pm I was automatically charged for an additional day. The cashier did not know how to take the charge off the account for her causing the check in to be late. I was told that I had to come back the next day earlier to return the truck since I had been charged for the extra day. So I left and went home. The following day I arrived at 4pm and proceeded the drop off process. When I received my final invoice I was charged for 20 extra miles that I did not use. The $100 deposit that I was promised to have returned to my account was not credited on the invoice either. The prices displayed online did not match the rates I was charged on my invoice. In addition I was charged $60 for gas when I only used $20 worth of gas. The gas station clerk was able to take the fee off for the gas since I offered to fill the tank myself. I was also charged a bogus â€œEarthâ€ fee? A fee for the air? I asked for the deposit to be refunded and the mileage be adjusted as I had proof of the miles I used while in possession of the truck and customer service argued with me over putting the deposit back in my account when the truck was in the same condition it was when I picked it up. Since they would not refund the deposit or the overcharged mileage fee I had no way to Uber home. The customer service agent for Uhaul called the store manager to try to get him to come out to the Exxon and assist me with the error made, but he told me he could not come out because he was dealing with a personal matter. So I had no other choice but to take the truck back home. I let the manager know where I parked the truck and that the keys were in it and he could come get the truck since they were not refunding me the extra money. After the truck was picked up I received an additional invoice for $900. I do not recommend Uhaul to anyone. Go with Enterprise next time. Way better customer service and they don't steal from you.Kristy P.

The gas cap was open and the gas tank was only half filled up. Unable to load pictures due to poor cell signal. The customer service agent we called was excellent.Christopher P.

Why was I charged a $12 gas fee for 2 gallons of gas. Especially for the fact that I had only used the U-Haul for a total of 7miles. The gas prices near me don't equal to $12 for gas for 2 gallons and I definitely did not used 2 gallons barely even 1.ELIZABETH D.

I've had issues with them overcharging me on two separate occasions. I spoke to the attendant and was told the charges would be handled. I was overcharged for gas when I took pictures to show the gas was where it was upon pick up. I was told that management would handle it. However, I was still overcharged. Previously I was charged for a two day rental when I returned the truck the same day. I'm not sure if they are attempting to overcharge customers hoping that the bill isn't scrutinized.Meagan W.

I did not reserve this location. I received different text messages from two locations. I arrived at one location and they were closed and no trucks. I called the other number and they were 10 minutes away. Very dissatisfied with uhaul. The Exxon location and staff were great but I didn't want that location.Salvatore G.

Not the site I chose, given wrong keys to truck twice, I guess it was the Manager, very disrespectful to me , overall bad experience. He should not represent Uhaul, not the person to represent business.Gloria C.

I checked-in online because this location added about 40 mins to my timeline. He was very nice, but disorganized. He did not know how many moving blankets I had reserved and just gave me a bunch. He kept having to wait on customers and have me wait. Eventually he just handed me the keys to the truck and told me where it was. I came back in to ask about how the tolls will be paid and he told me that I had to pay in cash at the toll booth!! REALLY? Then he told me that he forgot to scan my other driver's license. I had to go out & get it. There was a line of customers, but I went to the side and he did take care of it right away. It is not like I was a walk-in, I had a reservation. At least the truck was ready for me. Be more prepared.Diana C.

I don't blame this location but this company's website. It is misleading to have me book a reservation to drop off the vehicle in another location and confirm the reservation only to inform me when I arrive that I have to return it to its place of origin, which cost me more in miles. I was charged for furniture pads and a dolly which I never received. The individual at the checkout was unhelpful. Advised me to check in electronically because I had indicated that on my reservation but I was never given an option for check in. This is a terrible companyCorey M.

It would have saved a lot of time had I known I had an open balance prior to my arrival to pick up the truck. I'm sure this is done to try and pressure the customer to pay to get the truck, but I have never received any mail or email from U-haul telling me I had an unpaid bill with them. Having to deal with it at the time of pick up at a satellite location that is also a gas station made what should have been a 5-10 minute (max!) transaction more than 45 minutes.Jenn N.
We rented a UHAUL from another location and the customer did not return it. There were no other UHAULs available for us, leaving us in a real bind. We happened to drive by this Exxon and there were two trucks out front. The friendly employee went out of his way to make it work for us all while waiting on other customers at the convenience store. He fought for us to get a good rate and was very helpful.JEREMIAH J.
Not have any hidden pricing and let the customer decide if they want the safe mover option. We weren't given the option to decline it and were charged for it but I found out later it was optionalEthel H.
I was infuriated that I reserved a 20' truck over a month ago and was called by a U-Haul representative on Saturday to confirm that my truck was ready but at a location over 20 miles away. I arrived at the location but the app wouldn't work to obtain the lockbox code. I sat on hold for 45 minutes with customer service to discover that my truck was not there and there were no available 20' trucks anywhere in my vicinity. I had to drive an additional 10 miles to pick up a 15' truck which was not large enough for all my items. I then had to reserve a trailer and drive another 10 miles to pick that up. When a person is moving, it is one of the most stressful times in one's life and when a service they have depended on has failed to follow through, it is excruciating. This is not the first time U-Haul has failed to provide the service they had promised but it will be the last for me. I cannot in good conscience put my faith is such an unreliable company.RACHEL M.

Don't change the pick up location the night prior to pick up. Clean the truck if it is dirty. Don't overcharge customers AFTER you tell the customer it is all cean and they are good to leave.TODD K.

My only issue was the ridiculous distance this location was to the original location I requested to pick up the Uhaul.... I feel like I was cheated honestly. You mean to tell me there were absolutely no Uhauls in a 15 or less mile radius from my original pick up location!? I was FORCED to pay an additional $50+ dollars to my total because Uhaul changed the location so far away from me! Not including the Additional money I had to put in for gas since you have to fill up the gas tank; I paid even MORE in gas as well! It would have been so much less had they considered where I was coming from! This location was 50 miles round trip, when I should have paid $15. How can I avoid this in the future??? They did not have the equipment we requested for rental. The uhaul was very dirty on the inside, especially in the cup holders.Lester H.
Equipment was covered in snow I had to clean off three inches of snow by hand before I could use the van, and additional equipment of dolly and furniture blankets were not supplied. In addition the staff member had no training and had no idea what do when I was having issues finishing the rental contract. Not a good overall experience.Nicholas D.
I reserved my truck online . I went there to pick it up and its a gas station so there were about 3 people in line no big deal . The lady was nice and she looked up the reservation and just handed me the keys . so i got the truck and first thing i did was write down the mileage 96663 . Hindsight being 20/20 i wish i had taken a picture. So i returned and filled up the gas tank and went in and the man was there with 5 or 6 people in line . so he said if i didn't want to wait he would email the final bill . I told him the beginning mileage and the return mileage which was 96708 which i said i went 45 miles . I recieved the email which he had beginning at 96653 and returned at 96708. 55 miles. I know that this is wrong and i hope he made a mistake so i called and the lady said the manager wont be in till 3 pm so she gave me a customer service number and i called so the set up a claim . I said to the lady cant they just look up the last use of the truck . now i know that people make mistakes but i checked that mileage and i didn't think it would be an issue but i feel like that location is just not being honest. Its not a big deal its the principal . I am going to look up references for this location and see if this is a common practice there . I want my bill ajusted im not going to just let this go . I urge people upon renting trucks or any equipment from them to get the contract before you leave with the truck and have the mileage on that contract before you leave . They didn't even come out to the truck with me which i think is done so that they can do what ever they want . I returned it clean better than when i picked it up and this is what i g e t . My initial reservation was close to my home, but it was bumped to other locations until it finally landed down in a differently county. This completely changed my time frame and required an extra hour of driving on my part to go get the truck from the new location and return it there. The young man at the gas station was friendly enough but due to the slow process of the tablet used for the uhaul rentals, getting checked in and checked out was also time consuming since he had to wait for pages to load. Check in was particularly frustrating because I had already driven out of my way, but since the uhaul pickup was at a gas station that didn't primarily rent uhauls, the customers who came in for the gas stations business were given priority over me. I had done all of my check in options online to avoid this but it still took forever. I do want to say that I know my frustration was not on any wrongdoing of the young man who helped me at the gas station but on the whole of being bumped around so much and it taking a great deal amount of time, especially when I had people helping me load the truck who were now waiting. Also the truck smelled awful of cigarettes but the windows going down alleviated that.Tiffany M.
I WAS NOT PLEASE WITH THE BILLING AT ALL. i ASKED TO EXTEND ONE MORE DAY BECAUSE OF THE RAIN ( I AM DISABLED AND ONLY CAN DO SO MUCH WITH THE HELP OF MY TEENAGE SON). i WAS TOLD IT WAS FINE AND HE ASKED WHAT TIME DID I WANT TO EXTEND TO I SAID I PICKED IT UP AT 4:52PM BUT DIDN'T WANT TO EXTEND FOR A 3RD DAY AND IT IS STILL WET OUT... HE SAID DON'YT WORRY AS LONG AS YOU BRING IT BACK TODAY. SMDH... I LET HIM KNOW RIGHT THEN IF I BRING IT BACK AFTER 452PM WOULD THAT BE OKAY ... HE SAID YES.. U SAW MY CARD WAS CHARGE $82.84 and that included the 25 miles and i went i think he said 28 miles for the two days)... NOT SAING I WOULD BE CHARGE A 3RD DAY. WHEN I CAME TO DROP IT OFF I was charge $166.29 ad he said you guys charged me for 3 days SMDH which he didn;t say that would happen or I would have just kept the truck for another day. Isn't fair to charge me for all that when you got the truck back on the second day at his okay if it would be later. And the trolley was also return and the gas was over 1/2 tank more than what i got it.. Never will get it from this place again I had a cab waiting and even though I was there before any people were in the store he stopped handling my problem to deal with other customers which took a longer time and the cab had got another call so i had to hurry and leave. I should get a full refund for this wrong information and not having the truck and trolley for a 3rd and not using 25 miles for that 3rd day and in the 2nd day 21 miles wasn't used...... I saw how this all was total and those were not used but you took money for those things... Not happy at all could have used that mover with his truck and labor for $265 if i knew you guys would take my money for a whole day not used of truck & trolley and miles not even used and getting equal gas smdhSharon D.

The people at this location are criminals and the most desperate, unreliable, dirty disgusting animals. The truck dirty. They tried to rent me a truck without the items that were prepaid: furniture dolly, large dolly and blankets. I had to return to the Exxon station to retrieve these items. I drove a total of 8 miles with my move and they did not provide a receipt. Three business days later they more than doubled my charges for this raggedy ass truck. That was not damaged and used less than 10 miles to move. A total rip off do not rent from this shady people at this location. I don't care how convenient it appears. They are criminals and ripping off people just rent from the Uhual on Pulaski Hwy.Nikkia M.
