This location was average, the clerk that help me was very hard to understand. The trailer had what appeared to be mud on the front and back. I tried cleaning it, but it turned out to be concrete i think, would not hose off or wipe off.

Bryce GThe van was filthy and smelled like manure. The passenger seat was covered with dirt and my wife would ruin her clothes if she sat on it. The attendant had to give us a blanket for the seat. We needed the van to get my daughter’s mattress and clothing for her move and we had to deal with manure smell and dirt. This is very poor service and I feel that we should have been given a discount or partial refund.

DENNIS TThe customer service at the actual location is excellent. It is the second time using them in a month for a big move during a recovery from an unexpected major surgery. First time the truck was full of animal hair and ran rough, but got the job done. Second time, this last time and the review prompt I am utilizing now, we had several issues. First, no phone call came the day before saying they were sizing down the truck. Had I not looked, I would have gotten there and the truck would not have worked at all. I called and the very polite lady apologized and corrected the issue, saying they would just give me a bigger truck than what I asked for...but then when I got there the original sized one was available. What wasn't available, was the dolly I needed nor the number of moving blankets I requested. That I wasn't told about until I picked it up. The suggestion to go buy one at Lowe's wasn't helpful. To move the items that needed moved, I would have had to buy a $100 to $200 dolly. Because I didn't have the blankets I needed, I had to back lighter and make an extra trip, for which I was of course charged mileage for. At one point, the truck didn't want to shift into gear going down the highway. We pulled over and just prior to calling as I paused to have a small breakdown myself, I tried to at least drive it to a within sight ramp to get off the highway and then everything was fine. The check engine light was also on from the get go. The cab had other people's drinking bottles left in it as trash. And WHY is the fuel ALWAYS 1/4 of a tank upon receipt? Both times I got a truck here, I immediately have to put $100 worth of fuel in it before I can even start moving. So...this last experience was certainly not the best. Corporate changed the truck without discussion with me or the location I had to pick it up from to something smaller that would have completely screwed me, they didn't have the equipment I needed which did screwed me, the cab was dirty once again, and for all of this and a month apart the cost was almost $200 more. There was no special being ran a month ago. This isn't including price of gas. This isn't including the nicety I was extended around drop off due to getting jerked around about the size of the truck both times. The first time the local branch called and out the gate offered a larger replacement at no extra charge. This time...I explained what happened above. So this time, with lack of equipment, being jerked around, dirty, broken truck paid $200 more than a month ago. Glad I won't be needing them again anytime soon. The Jonathan Drive location and their staff are wonderful. This isn't their fault in the least.
Kelly WThe client before us had obviously had dogs. The entire bed of the van and the passengers seat was covered in dog hair, mud and dog poop. We were on a timeframe, so took the vehicle, as it was the only one available. On being informed of the condition of the RENTAL VEHICLE when we returned, the manager who checked us out said, "We're a moving company, not a car rental company." I have used u-haul for 30 years. No longer.

JONATHON JI reserved the truck and 24 blankets 10 days ahead of the pick up date. When i pick up the truck, i am informed there are no blankets available. No prior notice or emails from Master. Many pieces of my furniture got scratched and dented. Not acceptable!

DAVID DBetter explanation of the self-check-in return process. Was going to use the self check-in return process but already dropped off the equipment and returned home when attempting to check the equipment in so that I needed to geostamp and upload a video of the returned equipment. All was fine with the afterhours check-in though that the location provided.
DENNIS JHonestly I'm not sure if I would recommend U-haul or not. I had questions that wasn't answered cause they just didn't know, and when I called customer service they couldn't give me a direct answer ither. I couldn't get a detailed receipt, and no answer to why I got overly charged and where my money went! I'm not very happy at all honestly.

ROBERT DThe truck condition was unsatisfactory. The driver seat cushion tilted steeply toward the door. Within the first 15 minutes of my 230-mile round trip drive, I was very uncomfortable because of the pain it created in my back. Also, the driver door was misaligned with the door jamb due to a previous customer possibly letting the door whip open with the wind. This creates a loud roar from the wind turbulence while driving. I should have immediately returned the truck, but due to a tight time schedule, I opted to continue but had to wear ear plugs to lessen the noise. -Dealership Service— Very good -Truck— Poor. For that price, U-Haul can and should do better.

IAN PThe u-haul got a flat tire. I called and they said someone would be there in 1/2 hour. Someone was there in 15 minutes. Took less than 5 minutes to change tire. He gave me a thumbs up and I was on my way again. I thought that was awesome service.

SHAUNQUIA CHad to stop and buy window cleaner and towels to clean inside and outside of side windows, mirrors and windshield. Was driving into morning sun and windshield was so filthy inside and out that it was not safe to drive. There were also fingernail clippings all over the cab.
ROBERT BWe signed up for a furniture dolly but they didn’t have any when we arrived. Instead, we were provided with a utility dolly.
Terry FThe truck was in pretty rough condition. The steering felt extremely loose and the brakes were on the weak side. Nobody took time to go over any of the operational details of the truck or even show me where it was parked. I had to find it myself, then get it out of the parallel parking spot it was wedged in. The claimed owner of the company, Darrin , was kind enough to cuss me up one side and down the other after I expressed disappointment in my rental experience. His first comment upon meeting was ‘what’s your fucking problem’ followed by some kind of ‘dick smacking contest’ comment. I was thoroughly blown away. I will never rent a U-Haul truck from this location again.

Allen ZThis location closed at 1 in the afternoon on a Saturday on a big college campus. So everybody then had to download the app create an account and do a self checkout with many photos that took 20 minutes and tech savvy people could not do. If you didn't do this you are charged a $20 fee. Yikes. Truck however operated fine and was in great condition with a half tank of gas

Walter LThis is hands down the best rental facility in Bloomington, Indiana. When I showed up at Southside Rentals to pick up my reservation I was told that they didn't have it and advised to call the 1-800 number. I drove 2 hours to get here! No one at this facility would even pick up the phone and try to help me. I had to make the call myself. After being on the phone for about 40 minutes, customer service couldn't help me. I was told the closest rental was available in Indianapolis. I had to have my daughter moved out of her storage unit by noon. We drove around Bloomington and found Master Rental! They were so helpful and were able to provide me with a truck to complete my move! I would highly recommend this facility over any other in Bloomington, Indiana! Thank you!
