i got flashing warnings the entire time that the left rear tire was low on air and that the van needed an oil change. the van seemed to run hot and sounded like the engine was overworked. it was nerve wracking. there was also garbage left in the truck (welch's fruit snack wrappers etc).christine J.

I had a reservation for 8am. I got called four times to reschedule from 8 to 830 to 9 before the ap finally let me check in at 850. Otherwise everything went fine. The ap wouldn't let me take photos but I could do it in a browser.Shawn A.

The my account did not work ...it kept BBC telling me to turn on location services which were already on... Mark at the rental center was very friendly and helpful. He gets top marks but the login experience was a failureMike F.

The app did not read my location when I arrived to pickup the truck therefore I was unable to retrieve the keys from the lockbox. I had to call uhaul and wait for 30 minutes for a customer service representative. When informed of the price I was told the price was 19.95 and 1.99 per mile. When I made the reservation I was told it was 19.95 and 1.49 per mile. I was later informed all trucks are 1.99 per mile. So I am not sure why I was told 1.49 per mile? The truck was left to me with no gas. I was charged 58 dollars and change for gas however when informed uhaul about being given a truck with no gas they said I would be refunded for it. I was refunded 50 and shorted 8 dollars, why is that? This aggravation got me on the road 45 minutes late and made me late meeting the people who were helping me move. The woman on the phone from uhaul who I was asking to help me when the app wasn't working was rude and unprofessional...that annoyed me most of all. Please refund me the remaining 8 dollars. The field manager is extremely rude and abrasive. I was told misinformation at the time of pick up which accrued an extra charge that no-one informed me about. Would not recommend uhaul experience to anyone.Kevin K.

The representative did not wear a mask in a small confined office. I stayed outside of the office to speak to him. When I checked out the vehicle, I told him that the tire sensor light was on. He told me it was a faulty sensor. I pulled out of the parking lot and could FEEL the tire pressure was not right. I got out and could visably see the low tire pressure on the driver side front tire. I returned the truck and he gave me a much larger truck. He then tried to make it right. But I was not happy with this experience. Had I driven the truck away and not been conscientious, it could have ruined our move with a flat tire.Heather M.

With today's safety measures in place. A truck rental company should have guidelines like everyone else. And it's not just during the pandemic. Everytime I use a U-Haul truck it's always dirty. I picked up my truck at night. Did the walk around took my pictures of the outside truck damages, so I don't get blamed for scratches and dents already there . I opened the back door but it was up against a tree and it was late. I knew it wasn't ok, but not choice to take it. I needed it. In the morning we started loading only to see blood stains and other liquid stains all over the trucks walls and floor. The inside drivers cab was dirty also. I had to stop the paid help and disenfect the truck. And the drivers door was sprung. In order to close the door you had to super slam it. Didn't know this until I was on my way and with my elbow out the window the door started shaking. I opened and closed it and locked it. A little down the road and it's opened again. The window was hard to open but I didn't think anything of it, until the door didn't close right. It needs to be checked.Pamela B.

When we arrived to pickup truck the manager Mark informed us he can save us about half the cost of the rental because he saw when we reserved the appointment on line we made an error on the way we booked it. After a nightmare two days with U-Haul (see my account notes) I went to return order 24278047. With the site not processing my card for no reason, I chose pay with another method to see the options and the reservation was closed without payment or telling me what to do with the key. So I called to figure out what to do with the key, and they said they cannot take payment info over phone like every other company in the 21st century, but to come in next day and pay directly at drop off place. I went by the next day at 1 (during their hours) AND THEY WERE CLOSED. Then I sat on the phone with you and no one picked up for 15 minutes. So I sent you an email saying I'm tired of your bullshit. If you want to be paid, contact me with a way to pay via debit instantly over phone or web like every other modern company. I'm not sitting on the phone holding forever. And I'm not returning to a shitty storage place that is unlikely to be open. Finally got an email back saying the location would contact me. They never did. Just charged the card on file (what I wanted to avoid) a week later. I am positively amazed at the horrendous experience U-Haul has provided and will be sure to post everywhere. How you function as a national company amazes me and I'm now hearing similar stories. Guess it's my fault for not researching more.Josh W.

U-Haul is charging way too much mileage charges on a Friday for a couple of hours. The truck charge was reasonable but I feel like I was taken advantage of for the mileage charge. Because of that, U-Haul is no longer my first choice for my truck rentals. It became my back up. I rent trucks about 40 times or more throughout the year & you may not care but you lost my business. My review has NO reflect on the location and their service. They were 5 stars! U-Haul deserves 2 stars!Michael A.
