Quick and smooth handover process

My pickup location was switched 1 day before pickup so the information to acquire the truck was not forwarded to me. When I arrived to pickup the truck the location was closed. I contacted customer service and eventually got the info to get the truck and be on my way.

Worst experience ever-had to travel 5 hours to collect a truck, Booked in North Vancouver, was sent to Surrey, ended up getting a too small truck in Richmond. Drove back to Squamish, could fit all our Furniture as UHaul advised 15min prior to pickup that the 15foot truck we booked is no longer available. Will never recommend using UHaul services to anyone. Empty booking promises which the company can not guarantee. Still waiting on customer services to get back to me on our terrible customer experience. We booked trolleys, a truch with a loading deck, blankets-none of which was provided so me and my 30 week pregnant wife had to manage untill 02:00 Saturday morning-go figure why we are terribly unhappy!

It took the owner/operator a fair bit of time to get us on the road. One of the problems was that they couldn't find the Uhaul depot in Prince Rupert. And that caused a bit of issue with the paper work. I had explained that we needed to go to Prince Rupert, but that I had agreed to return the truck to Terrace, after unloading in Prince Rupert. They also needed to move a bunch of vehicles (5 - 6 ) to get the truck out. They were very nice, but the process was taking forever. I finally got a bit bitchy and I told them that my wife was standing out in the cold with our belongings that we were taking with us back to Prince Rupert. Normally, when I rent a U-Haul truck or trailer, I am on the road in 10 - 15 minutes. Anyways, because of the time it took -about 1 1/2 hours to get on the road, , we were late going to the CAS Warehouse to pick up our new Bosch fridge and dishwasher. The warehouse had closed at 5:00 pm and we had to spend another night in the lower mainland. So, no I was not very happy.

Uhauls customer service is awful and it has nothing to do with the location where I picked up the truck.

Only thing I'd say is make the entrance to the lot more visible. Had a bit of trouble finding g the place, but once I got in there the operator was very kind and thorough.

There were no signs of the location. It was hard to find the location.
