Myexperence with McNeal was great However UHAULS IDEA OF QUICK RESPONCE SUCKED. I CALLED TO CK IN AND THEN I HAD A ISSUE WITH THE TIME.I WAITED 20 MIN FOR SOMEONE TO PICK UP AN DISCONNECTED 2XS 2 DAYS TURNED INTO 4 DAYS. THIS IS BECAUSE NO ONE I MEAN NO ONE COULD EXCEPT NOR MAKE A CHOICE. THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME.. I M SORRY BECAUSE I RENTED TRUCK AN A CAR HAULER AN WAS EVERY HAPPY. TO AN FROM ARIZONIA. I want a refund. The truck was filthy, and the steering wheel was awkward, and not adjustable. When I complained, Myles (I guess, the owner?) replied with something like, "Well, at least you took care of what you needed to." I rebutted, saying, I did not, because the truck was so disappointing that I just took it home, and left it parked. That truck was disgusting, on the inside, and that steering wheel gave me anxiety. I've been driving U-Haul trucks, for my moves, for 25 years. Never have I been so disappointed, and depressed by the experience. I didn't, even, move my items with that dirty truck. Worst experience EVER getting this truck through the automated system! I will never do that again. I only wanted the truck for two hours and I literally spent the first FULL HOUR trying to get this truck. I purposely registered in person the day before so I wouldn't have to do everything on my phone in a busy parking lot the day of. So even though I registered, it didn't matter. I had to take pictures of my license, front and back, I had to send a selfie, I had to come up with two alternate phone numbers of people I know WHO WILL ANSWER THEIR PHONE IMMEDIATELY to various that I'm living and breathing! My cell phone screen is dark outside and it was hot and I couldn't see and my stress level was through the roof! The program wasn't working because I sent the pic of my license in place of the selfie (which I didn't realize at the time because my screen is barely visible) so nothing else would work. But did it tell me that? So I tried the online chat. Not working! Meanwhile the stranger I hired to help me move had to stand there and endure this mess while I waited for 20 MINUTES on hold for customer service to help me get my damn truck. I was mortified and expecting him to just say screw it and leave. He was one of the required â€œalternate phone numbersâ€ but that didn't work because apparently he had some blocker preventing U haul from getting through. So I gave my dads number, who up to now had no clue I was trying to rent a truck. They called him and of course he didn't answer an unknown number! Tiffany at customer service was awesome, and sympathized with me as this was going on 50 minutes by now. She was helping me the best she could but nothing was working ðŸ˜’. Talk about security overkill! I thought I'd gone through all this the day before so I wouldn't have to do all this crap on my phone the day of. My hired hand was dragged into the chaos, my dad was dragged in, I was pulling out my hair and so stressed by the end I didn't even want to move. What a horrible, god-awful system. I will never rent that way again. Be warned. Btw...the locks are practically rusted shut and Tiffany was nice enough to tell me to manhandle the locks to get them loose to get the key. Uhaul selected this location for me. I dropped a 20' van off at this location 5/16/21. When I arrived the business was closed and there was no Uhaul drop box anywhere on the building. While walking around I noticed a Uhaul van parked ACROSS THE STREET at what appeared to be a vacant service station. I then noticed the orange Uhaul drop box on this vacant building. I went across the street and used this drop box (even though this was a different address than the one I was provided to drop the van). I was unable to get the online check in to work as the site would not accept my verification code. I tried calling Uhaul customer service and waited on hold for 15 minutes before hanging up. I left the keys and contract in the drop box anyhow and left the van across the street at my designated drop location. I then drove 6hrs home. I called customer service twice the following day and waited on hold for around 40 minutes each time in an attempt to confirm the the van had been checked in. I was assured that it was. Later in the day I recived an email stating I was being charged a $20.00 fee for after hours check in. The location that Uhaul selected for me to drop the van is CLOSED on Saturday and Sunday so there are no regular hours available to drop on these days. I was not there after hours. This charge is not appropriate and it needs to be reversed. Very poor customer service.DENVER JAMES M.
