I reserved the U-Haul to include a dolly. I also did not want the safe ride or anything else extra. The night before I arrived to pick the uhual up, I had clicked on check in in person, but the individual who came to the property gate was trying to have check in on my phone. My phone does not get great reception in Pueblo. So, she used her cellphone to check me in, and added the safe ride and other protection to my U-Haul contract. It wasn’t until after I returned everything that I noticed all this, because when I tried taking pictures of the U-Haul and confirming my contract, it kept kicking me out of the app. This is a common issue, unfortunately. I had to call customer service to let them know that I took pictures with my cell phone of the U-Haul before I drove off. I found out I didn’t have the dolly I requested during initial reservation, when I got to the storage unit, but since you’re paying $1.39 a mile, it’s not worth it to turn around and drive the 5 miles back to get the dolly. Also, the U-Haul had a McDonald’s cup with soda still in it in the passenger side door, that had leaked out. You could tell that the U-Haul hadn’t been cleaned in between customers. This was just a bad experience, I will not use this pick up location ever again.
