You should look into the Green St Halifax uhaul rental. I believe they are getting kick backs from a parking company who owns their lot. I would be happy to discuss this further.

When they tell you the gas is at a quarter but it's at an eighth and you have to put it back to a quarter after. Completely understandable why but I definitely put more gas in than I put out driving. I should have taken a picture before driving which was my mistake but still a little annoying

It was close but hard to find.. GPS did great.. the lady didn't check while you were there just took keys .but I did get an email very shortly after so she must have checked it in.. so other then it being weird.. was pretty smooth and convienant..

I picked the truck up at 1/4 tank, other locations I’ve picked it up full which makes it a lot easier for the customer to return it at the same fuel level. A $30 fee for returning it just slightly below 1/4 tank is an outrageous markup. The online agent doing my check in also took much longer than I’ve experienced with other locations

This was probably my 5th time personally booking uhaul (plus countless others with family and friends); this location was by far the best. Friendly and competent staff, both pickup and drop off were seamless. Thank you!

You need to determine the correct amount of fuel in the tank before releasing the vehicle to the customer. The easiest way is to ensure each vehicle has a full tank.

I just need a clarification on payment. Payment authorization was for $89.23 but the original invoice is 82..94 as per the invoice but $89.23 was charged on my credit card. Iincluded a trolley but it was not in the location and didn’t take that.

They should have the option of unlimited mileage like in Ontario. My bill in the end was so inflated. I guess because when I put gas, it was not right at the three-quarter, just barely reaching the 4 quarter of a tank. And some things that I didn’t understand in the Bill. (specially a late fee for dropping the keys after 5 PM in the box when I clearly told him that I was gonna drop off the keys after 5 PM.)

Pick-up was simple and easy. Mobile pick-up had clear instructions. On return, an agent came out and helped be back the truck into its parking spot on the lot.

Place very dark, very hard to access the vehicle for first time users. Too many steps to even get the key and then too many steps again before accessing the vehicle. Too much time wasted figuring out everything, too many photos at the start and the end. It was raining heavily that day which made it even worse. The vehicle was very old, handling and breaks were really bad, very hard to drive that in the city. Overall experience was bad.

The agent that took my order was fine. When I returned the truck, I had left an empty bottle of water in it and the manager (who did the return) charged me a cleaning fee of $25 (found that out when I receive my invoice later). I have been renting from U-Haul for years and have never encounter such a blatant money grab. The manager at the green street location in halifax should be ashamed of the way he conducts business. - he has lost mine anyways.

We had issues uploading photos to the app. Unable to move forward so had to call and wait on hold putting us behind in move. When booking via phone we added extra dolly and furniture pads but they were not there when we got the truck

Only one person helping many customers during peak season is not fair. Despite the use of the application to self checkout, there are many other aspects that need to be handled. You should invest in your employees.

Firstly, I Drive my car to the location to pick up the u haul , No where mentioned in website that personal car parking is not allowed at this u haul property . The customer service representative clearly told us that you cannt park your personal car here at the property . If you park your car they will towed it . You know the reason ! They sell the parking lot spaces to people on monthly basis ! They charge 140$ for that parking spot from them ! Its clearly not good. other places allowed to park and take the u haul with you and return thr u haul and then take your car back ! If you book the u haul, please come on barefoot or walking distance around ! Othervise your car will be towed ! I parked my car at sobeys instead to park at their property ! i am not considering this location for pick up the u hail at all !

This location was helpful and convenient. Using the website/app is very annoying, feels like I'm doing a lot of work for no monetary reward. Had an issue with credit card payment during drop off as well.

There are not enough parking spots. The parking lot in front of the store belongs to a private company, and the owner at the location failed to mention this. Now I have to pay a $98 ticket to park there. I will never go there again and let any of my known go there. Fix that.

The app did not work and I spent 45 minutes trying to talk to an agent because your system was down. Eventually the person at the location was able to reboot the system. The U-Haul representative was great tho!

This location did not work for us and was not our Choice for pickup as it was 45 minutes away from where we are moving from. Despite this uhaul informed us via email, less than 24 hours before our move that we would now have to pick up from this location. Which resulted somehow in being "over kilometers" and an additional charge on our account. Though we did not sign up for a kilometer check and we returned the truck full of gas as required.

The equipment was a little dirty, had to wait for them to return from break to pick up equipment. Staff were very friendly. No parking for own vehicles at this location, would have been nice to have known prior to coming.

I know there are apartments next door but it was pretty dark when I returned the vehicle. Nothing that made me feel unsafe but I could see how it may be an issue for others. Everything else was excellent, though!

The truck was dirty when we received it. A simple vacuum and wipe-down would have made a big difference - it’s clear this isn’t something they routinely do. I have photos as evidence.

Its a very sketchy office. It would feel better if it wasnt' cobbled together in the store room of a another business. The people were good but the place itself is very sketchy

Truck was dirty. Left at 1/4 fuel. It would be nice to see this and any locations try to make the trucks better, even if their previous renters don’t try the same. As a paying renter, would expect a reasonably non dirty cab (mine had mud) and full gas tank(mine had 1/4)

I hesitated to use U Haul again. This experience was much better compared to my last. U Haul customer service as improved greatly. The truck was newer and more reliable. We had a 1600 mile trip that could not have gone any better. I would use U Haul again, after the improvements they have made.

The staff person was helpful and there are no serious complaints, only that I had pre-booked some moving pads but they had none when I arrived at pickup. Also the lever controlling the back of the driver's side seat was broken, limiting the adjustment of that seat to a comfortable driving position. If issues like these were addressed, I would recommend the location.
