there was no one in the location, only a screen , with a virtual assistant. I waited half an hour for someone to arrive. then it was quick, all smiles

DAVID BWe initially dropped the trailer, at night, at Monster Storage on Coastal Drive. When picking up the trailer in LaGrange the agent informed us the trailer could be dropped at any U Haul storage up arrival. We received a phone call the next day after returning to our home 6 hours away that the Monster Storage facility does not receive trailers and we had to move it immediately. If it wasn't move immediately it would be towed and we would have to pay about $7-800 in towing fees. We explained we were 6 hours away and our son, who lives in Bluffton, worked on a boat and would not return until the end of day. This did not matter to the manager and he said we had to find a means to get the trailer moved immediately or we would have to pay (alluding that our card would be charged for the towing expense) It took a lot of back and forth before the manager agreed to "pretend" he didn't see it if we got it moved before the days end. The manager at Monster Storage was a first class jerk. His threatening to have the trailer towed and charge us the ridiculous amount of $800 was uncalled for. I have been a business owner for over 30 years and understand how to properly deal with customers be they right or wrong in the discussion. Had the conversation taken place in person I strongly believe he would not have been as bold in his aggressive approach. People similar to him are bold when behind a keyboard or telephone but usually cower away when confronted in person. The manager kept saying there was a sign that said no trailers, and there was, but it was night time and the drop off point was very poorly lighted. How do I know there was a sign (my son returned the trailer)? The manager went out to the road (the drop off area was a drive outside of the gates), took a picture of the sign, went back to his office, looked up my email address, and sent me a picture to passive aggressively show me there was a sign with the trailer in the background. What I also noticed in the picture was a lot of trees hanging over the road, no street lights, and a sign with small print that stated no trailers 3 lines from the top. I could give you more examples of his inappropriate approach but I think you get the point that this agent/manager was unprofessional in his approach The agent at Midgard was helpful and professional once we were finally able to get the trailer returned to the proper location. I have no complaints with the Midgard facility but I would not recommend the Monster Storage facility to anyone

Philip COriginal drop off location was not open nor could be reached all day. Should post hours on the paperwork if possible. Switched drop off and all went well. No receipt given for the drop off, should be something tangible.
ROBERT CCheck in on a phone was rather cumbersome. Directions were not always clear. Position of parked truck made it difficult to photograph.
Kenneth SAssociate at front was very helpful and pleasant. He helped me hook up the trailer and gave me advice on dropping it off the next day. The trailer functioned well.
BRUCE WThis is what a U-Haul dealer should look like. It is a self storage facility and had a good inventory and staging of equipment, a customer service lobby with supplies, etc.
Eric LThere was a leak in the windshield and we had 2-3 thunderstorms with hard rain during my rental and water leaked in each time and filled the cupholders. There was also a small leak in the box of the truck and I had some wet items. It was minimal luckily.

Nick ETrailer door locking bar was a bit rusty and upon our arrival in PA, we discovered quite a bit of water had gotten inside the trailer. Young man at pickup was super friendly and helpful!

ROBERT LOlder truck. Service light was on when rented. No issues with its performance, but it should be addressed before future use.
CRAIG WAll was in good order for this pick up. We were going to use the 24/7 app…..which does need some significant improvement. The office team was great to jump in and help us get out the door quickly. Return was a breeze.

GEORGE M*Corporate-Monster Storage was originally where scheduled to drop off trailer. They do NOT take back trailers only trucks. At checkout it switched our reservation without notice to a place in Savannah NOT the closest place that would accept trailers. Arrived at Monster and both myself and the employee were frustrated-apparently this happens quite frequently that they have a large sign and the employee became irritated. He told me to take it over an hour away and then finally said there was a place only two miles away called MidGard. You all need to ensure trailer reservations don’t return to Monster!! Monster also close For an hour for lunch and this day they closed earlier than that so I was just lucky while I was trying to reach corporate someone drove up.

GEORGE BI had requested a hand truck to use in the move, and was told it would be included. When I picked up the vehicle, I was informed that all the hand trucks had been given to other customers. It is a far more difficult thing when one has to carry every item from its location out to the vehicle - changes the entire nature of the move. The clerk explained that u-haul corporate is focused in the vehicles and does not concern itself with the ancillaries. I that is the case, stop advertising as a moving facilitator and just be a vehicle rental place.
