Letta GThis comment is not in regards to the pick up location, but with U-Haul itself. Why do the trucks not have cruise control options? Cruise control should be mandatory. I've move a lot across the country, driving 10+ hours and my feet are killing me days afterwards. All of the trucks I've rented sound like the exhaust is falling off or running straight header pipes, forcing me to wear ear buds the entire time driving. I've also never rented a U-Haul truck where the steering wheel actually pointed straight when driving straight. Last but not least, make sure you are complete the pre-vehicle inspections before leaving as I guarantee the fuel level does not match your contract paperwork, as these people checking in the trucks when they return don't know how to read the gauges properly. All trucks should have mandatory FULL tank requirements when returned, This would eliminate the guessing fuel level B.S.. Take a ton of photos and document everything.

TERRY RBetween the location and UHaul , I received the run around numerous times during the rental. The first truck was not efficient, made loud noise and shaking had to bring it back. Was told so many differences between the UHaul and the location that I had to use mileage due to the continuous run around. Both, convenient and inconvenient. More inconvenient.
AMILEYA DI was told the uhaul was on full and when I filled it up, it was almost $30. I only drove it 45 miles. I told the lady on the virtual screen and she said there's nothing she could do. The tank was not full when I received, because I topped it off and the only way it would cost almost $30, is if it wasn't originally full. She told me i should have only put it back to where it was, but i was i told it was already full. Her customer service was completely lacking and she made sure to let me know it was my fault and I shouldn't have filled it completely full if it was only partially full.
Benjamin PI really wish there was a live actual person there like there used to be. My app was freezing up and the website wouldn’t recognize my location so it took me multiple conversations with different remote customer service people to get everything figured out. What used to take five minutes took nearly 30. I also want to point out that I am 55 which is technically above average for a woman. Your trucks need running boards. I had to haul myself in to the truck by grabbing onto the steering wheel and the handle Because the step was so high to get into the truck not all of your renters are Giants. I am an event planner and regularly rent trucks for my programs. I wish I could fit everything into a cargo van every time, but I cannot, I hate hate hate renting your trucks because it’s so uncomfortable to get in and out of. I know you’re not gonna change the whole fleet just for me, but as your design designing future new trucks, you might wanna think about it. I know you’ve got a virtual lock on the market, but it’s still a pain.
MEREDITH HMy only gripe is your largest enclosed trailer is too short to carry a refrigerator!!! It's also so short I have to bend way down to clear and repeatedly bang my head really hard due to how short it is! Please begin carrying taller enclosed pull behind trailers!

CHARLES GDue to the cold weather the rear lift gate was frozen shut (understandable) and I was told by the on-site to give it an hour or so and it should free up, but if not, call U-Haul and arrange to swap out the equipment. That would have screwed up my scheduled move, but fortunately someone returned a smaller truck right then and I was able to swap equipment and all went well. I've rented from Midgard in the past and never had any real issues.
ROBERT ZWish the vehicle were in better condition. There was lots of damage, difficult to open driver door because it had been hit and door did not close very well so drive was noisy.

MARK EI get the efficiency of the online check-in and rental of the truck. I just wish I knew it was going to take so long. It took quite some time to take all of the pictures and include my drivers license. It added perhaps 20 min to my pickup. It would have been nice to be warned about it so I could have planned. I know now for next time. Also, the equipment I asked for, furniture pads/dolly were not in the truck. Then I had to go back in and get them, luckily there was a guy there.

SUE MVery sterile environment. Talking to a kiosk is not personable. For a process that should have take no more than 15 minutes turned out to be close to an hour. 1. I made the reservation by phone and emailed tax exempt form because Fulton Schools aren’t taxed. When I arrived, they didn’t have that information that I emailed. I was given a Uhaul number to call. They said they can’t do anything about that. WHO HAS THE FORM THAT WAS EMAILED? 2. It was during this call that I was notified that the location of my rental had been changed to a different location. I arrived at 12::15 for a 12:30 reservation. I was told about this change at approximately 12:45. I was dropped off by a co worker and had no way of getting there, nor did I have the time. Eventually, 2 employees walked in from somewhere and I’m positive they heard me fussing. They were actually very helpful in accommodating my reservation. Needless to say, this experience had left a bad taste.
AUGUSTUS MThe virtual and in-person attendants were very helpful. After I left, I felt uneasy about handing the key to the in-person attendant because I did not have any proof that he was an employee and I feared he could have been a scammer. My bad for not asking for identification.

As a fairly savvy 63 yr old, I didn't really want to take the time to get the AP on my phone to check in; she took care of it! I was whupped after a day of moving and it was a relief!

Melissa LThe Uhaul App did not work as planned and caused the MOST frustration while picking up AND returning the truck. In both instances, it told me I was at the wrong location even though I was at the address indicated. It would not let me proceed from there. Bot h times I had to go in and use the virtual manager, which once connected, worked much better and much more smoothly than the app. It did take a couple of minutes (it seemed) to connect though and for a "live" person to appear on screen. My only complaint with the entire experience was with the app and its failure to complete the tasks at hand.
