Midgar representative had me wait at the counter while he composed an email. Then he informed me the equipment I reserved was unavailable, but I could "go to Home Depot and see if any equipment was available to rent there". I asked why he waited until I arrived to inform me the reserved equipment was unavailable instead of informing me the day before. He did not have an answer. Lastly, I was given the code to the gate because the representative did not want to walk 12-feet outside the lobby to open the gate for me. In his defense, it was a hot day.
Dan BIt was great!
Siham DGot the trailer no problem. When I got home and opened the trailer, it was full of stuff. I had to empty it into my garage. Kindof a pain as now I am stuck with someone's stuff and need to arrange it to be picked up with bulk trash
Robert CYour staff is not rude, just completely un-engaged with the customer and unappreciative of my bringing you my business. They don’t greet you when you walk in. They are LITERALLY THE LAZIEST non-service oriented people I’ve ever encountered at a Uhaul. They sit there and, again quite literally, mumble under their breath - they point to a wall that is both around the corner of the facility as well as outside and expect you just to know where and what it is as if you built the place, instead of showing you and making sure that the customer is outfitted for the day’s move. They did not include my moving blankets in the truck so I had to go back. They did not give instructions for the gate, they just wrote down codes on a post-it without explanation. They seemed just to want to sit their on their lazy bums and do nothing. No explanation of where the truck was, so I just had to walk all around to find it myself and waste time. And when I called in to ask about returning the truck, the lady was so rude and presumptuous - she gave incorrect information as well. This is the least-trained staff I’ve encountered compared to several positive experiences with Uhaul. This is a terribly managed facility (not counting the fact that it’s a beautiful property) - you should fire the manager of this location and replace him/her with someone who knows how to coach employees on customer service and experience. And if you are that manager reading this - don’t blame your employees! It’s YOU who is failing the customer.
