24 hr check in on Internet did not open.but left truck parked,lock,and dropped key in box
THERESA JAfter booking a 26' truck for a Sunday when Midgard is only open from noon to 4pm, I just went by a few days earlier to verify all was well. Guys behind the counter: "Oh sir, no need to come here, trust the system" I said, well, I just want to be sure to not holding my .... in my hand on a Sunday morning. Well, he sort of said I was crazy thinking that. OK, Sunday came, I was there to pick up the truck, and the reservation was not done correctly, and I called 2 numbers, first 10min wait, and then connected to other number, wait between 15 and 30min, my blood was boiling. Helpers were wainting for me... luckily a employee lived next door, I was able to knock on his door, and he solved the issue using his phone. So compliments for him. But not for the guy behind the counter... By the way, the truck was an old GMC with > 160,000 miles on it, rattling on several places. Clean, and did the job, but not good advertisement.

Rodney OEasy rental and return process. No waiting. I liked that I could pick up my rental before business hours and return before business hours. Truck was clean and in great working order. I will FOR SURE use Midgard Self Storage for my future U-Haul rental!!

Maria UThe app did not work. After several minutes waiting on the phone, I was told to not use the app and go to the online version. That worked better, but altogether cost me 30 minutes of messing around. The truck was on the abused side. The passenger bench was torn, the light switch was falling into the dashboard, and the truck completely stalled and died on me within the first mile. Luckily it started back up and I could continue my trip. I also never got the blankets I had asked for. And to top it all off, it had less than a quarter tank in it. So now I had to guess how much gas to buy in order to return it close to a quarter. It would be much nicer to have it filled up so that I could simple replace the used portion. There is a gas station 50 yards from this location...
ERIK HIt was cold outside and I tried to return the truck during normal business hours. The employees we at the side taking things from inside to the Salvation Army next door. They looked at me like I was crazy. They then went through the other stuff someone else put there. They loaded some stuff up and went back inside. Terrible customer service.

Ken MScheduled a 17-foot truck but, when I arrived to pick up the truck they could not find it! They had the keys but no truck. had to use a smaller 15 -foot truck and make two trips. Can not get a 20-foot truck into facility.
Jerry ELets start with the location. I reserved a contactless pickup and was instructed to use my cell phone to access a lock box with my truck keys. After trying to get the app to work for over 15 minutes in the parking lot, I was approached by what appears to be the store manager. He was very irritated that I did not come in and talk to him and told me "thats not how it works" after explaining to him my pickup appointment details. After all that was over and I was in side the gentleman entered my entire order under another persons name and info while holding my Drivers License in his hand and taking pictures of it for the computer. Im not sure what is going on at this location but please avoid if you are under any sort of timeline. To top it off I requested and paid for packing blankets and they were not all there. In addtion the packing blankets in the truck..that you have to pay for if the seal is broken had no seal. I photographed a packed uhaul with none of those blankets used to fight these crazy charges. This location is a scam from the get go. Fast foward to this morning I get ANOTHER notification on my phone that my CC has been charged. Ive been charged two different amounts, two days apart. When I called this morning to get it ironed out the lady who helped me on the phone was the worst. THE WORST. IF MANAGEMENT IS READING THIS PLEASE LISTEN TO THAT PHONE CALL!!! In short-pay a mover or use a local company. I have used uhaul in the past with no issue but things change.

Gale RWhen we rented the truck it had just a little over half a tank of gas, when we went to return the truck we were putting gas in to bring it back to the little over half a tank. The gas gauge must be sticking because we kept putting gas in but the gauge would not move. After putting over $50.00 dollars of gas we stopped. When we started the truck to return it then the gas gauge jumped to Full! We would like to have half the $50.00 returned to my credit card ($25.00) for the defective gas gauge.
Jerry EThis is the worst U-Haul they didn't spell my name right they didn't get my email right then overcharged me. They took my bank card and my license and that's all they cared about!!! They are a storage facility NOT A U-HAUL VERY DISGUSTED!!!!

marckenson tThe associate who assisted us was working alone on a Saturday managing customers for uhaul and the self storage. She had an entire store filled with customers waiting for her assistance. She handled everyones needs quickly, professionally, and politely. Kudos to her!!

Michael HBooked online and went to pick up at 9am and no dolly available right after they let me book like it was one. Staff attitude was not up to par as well. No varies of truck sizes as well having to make several in town trips but you might as well say one way trip for the price.

takara aI tried to get a truck from an original location but had to wait 4 hours to then come here, it’s a good thing that the movers were flexible with me starting 4 hours late. I was told I would get a weekly mileage rate instead of the weekend mileage rate but was not. Online it says that if U-Haul doesn’t have your truck they give you $50 and I didn’t receive that either. I was then given the oldest truck that stopped running multiple times. I’m never using U-Haul again and I should get a full refund. This was absolutely ridiculous. And the workers were condescending, telling me that it makes perfect sense that we’re were given a truck 4 hours late.
Devon RKeep the young man on duty today. I have been to this location before and they weren't enjoyable experiences. Actually, I hesitated going there today. But the guy there today made me glad I stopped in that location to rent a trailer. I watched how he dealt with the customer before me, and he was all about helping him as best he could. Mine was a simple rental, but he handled it efficiently and made sure I was satisfied. I will probably go there the next time I need to rent a U-haul.
FRANCIS RWe’ll Truck 1839 should not be driven because it’s a hazard to the driver and passenger. The passenger mirror is loose leaving it unusable for the driver. My trip was 31/2 hours in that truck on highway 95 and every time we hit a bump, the mirror would need adjusting. I think your trucks should be inspected more than they are and not leave it up to the one renting the truck to inform you that it needs worked on that’s just not right or safe for the next driver

GARY MI went in a day ahead to determine if they would have what I needed the following day, today. I reserved the van for 10 AM, showed up on time and I was on my way. I completed my task, returned the van CLEAN and with the gas level topped off to that at which it had been at pick up and I was on my way again. I could have made 4 or 5 trips in my car, risked damaging it with the 2 x 4s and 4 x 4s I was hauling and probably taken two days to get it done, whereas I finished in just over 2 hours. This does not include the "attitude adjustment" I might require. Now, if U-Haul would only help me move the lumber and build the fence. LOL
