There was no person physically there. I had to do all the work myself and there was absolutely no customer service. The woman on the video monitor barely spoke English and I couldn’t understand her, and she hung up on me. She was not helpful at all. I was extremely frustrated and stressed through the entire process. My son also works for U-Haul and I was supposed to get a discount and I never did. No one could help me get the discount applied

Doug MI had reserved a specific truck however when I got to this location the truck was not available. The one that was available was bigger and more expensive. Even though I tried to explain the situation a live manager was not available and I got charged as if I had reserved the bigger one.
ALFREDO DThe U-Haul self service experience leaves a lot to be desired. Please bring back human representatives or I will not be renting from you all anymore.
RONALD MThe video check in and check out and the necessity of you having to go through multiple steps on your phone is a pain and slows down the process. When we brought the rental trailer back there was no one there to assist so we had to take the trailer off of our truck ourselves. I’m not sure what someone less physically capable of would do. I will look for somewhere else to rent from if I need anything from U-Haul.
JEFFREY TThe staff was great. The truck was great. The location was great. I rent Penske trucks often. and I thought I’d give U-Haul a try. My card was charged three times for the rental of one truck. It is unfortunate that invoicing and billing is the reason that I wouldn’t go back to this location.

GERALDINE SDo not use Midgard for uhaul needs!! No actual employees working on site!! Save yourself the trouble and go to any other uhaul place but this one. I had a appointment to pick up a 6x12 open trailer from the Midgard location in Newberry at 12:30pm on a Saturday. I called the location on Friday to be sure they had the trailer, they said that they had the trailer and that it would be ready at 12:30pm on Saturday. I show up at 12:20pm to pick it up and there is nobody at the location. Not one physical person. They have a computer screen where you talk to someone over a video-chat but that person cannot help you because they are not on site and you must have a uhaul employee help hook up the trailer! The person on the computer screen said that they were sending someone to help but they would not be there until 1:15pm... Around 1:10pm a service technician pulled in to jump off a uhaul truck that was having problems, I walked out and asked him if he could hook the trailer up and he said "sure". So the service technician helped me out even though it wasnt his job to do so. He also gave me drop off instructions for when I came back with the trailer. When I left Midgard it was 1:30pm and there was still nobody there. Thanks to the service technician for helping me out. Zero thanks to Midgard, who did nothing but make me an hour late for my job.

Michael RThere is no one ro speak with at this location. My U-Haul truck was bouncing all the time. Road side assistance barely looked at it to say that there is nothing wrong. I filled the truck to a quarter of gas and was treated as if I did not. I called the number on the receipt and no one,was answering.
GEORGES KWe never got the rug pads but were charged for the anyway. Ben I called customer service, they did not know how to remove them from my bill. So I paid for something I never received.
JOHN JAll employees should have all measurements of the equipment. The virtual guy suggested the wrong trailer not knowing there are little walls that prevent loading something with certain dimensions. Luckily there's an actual attendant there to fix the issue. She was great.

ROBERT SI tried the remote pickup option for the first time. The experience was horrible. After waiting 20 minutes on hold to speak with a person, I was shown how to receive the lock code to get into the truck. I could have done this at home on my computer had I known this was how your app operated, and I could have had the code before I got there. The application was clumsy and poorly written. It was not intuitive or user friendly at all. I wasted a lot of time just at the pickup. The drop off was worse. I arrived at the storage company before 6 pm, thinking there was someone there to check me in and I wouldn't have to deal with The horrible U-Haul app. I was wrong. There was no one there at 5:45 even though their hours were advertised as open until 6. I was also informed by the remote virtual customer service zoom call that there was nothing they could do for me for U-Haul and if I didn't use the app and just dropped the key they would charge me an extra 20 bucks. This angered me a great deal, and I proceeded to try to use the app for about 30 minutes and 3 abortive tries to use the deeply flawed U-Haul app. I gave up, dumped the key in the box, and called the U-Haul 800 number. I explained the situation to Andrea, the rep that answered the phone and finally resolved the issue. If I ever need to rent a moving truck again, Uhaul will be my last choice.
Reginald EI wanted to talk to a real person not someone on line. It was a hassle having to download an app, upload pictures and milage. I want to walk away from dropping off the truck knowing all is good--the current system doesn't allow that.
JAMES RNot a thing..it was amazing. Y'all helped me flee from hurricane Milton! I didn't understand how to use the app when.i returned it and Emanuel helped me with everything!

William MThe people working there are amazing. They are starting to push people to the online / app experience that I don't want, but was saved by the people actually onsite. We had an issue backing the trailer in the site, the onsite person saved us from lots of hassels returning the trailer.

While we were there conducting business screen must have came on with a representative 10 20 times the 30 minutes we were there. That was very annoying and inconvenient for the employee on duty in person having to stop helping us to deal with the virtual employee. Should be a button you push if you want help not emotion sensor. Walking by the windows out front the building triggers the virtual employee
Nicholas FThe girl with the tattoos had amazing customer service dealing with difficult customers while I waited for my vehicle that wasn't there. Nothing ever got heated she just continued with, "what can I do to help you." If she ever needs a job my number is 8635132985. My reservation was postponed and transferred to this location the previous day 4 hours later. Even after messing with my plan and changing the time I still waited. Location was great, scheduling and delivery is where they failed.

Jay LThe appliance dolly we had used was a little beat-up. It still worked, but was not smooth on the wheels. Everything else was amazing/perfect. Easy check-in and check-out; the staff was top-notch; handled the process and multiple customers with ease. 10/10 would recommend Midgard location. Get them a new appliance dolly!
