The place I rented the truck from had no issues at all. I personally think that each customer should be told about the online check in feature, or at least explained how it works, when they are picking up their rental. The online check in is a great feature, but for someone who has never used it before, it was a little surprising how much is required to completely that process. Pictures are a great way to ensure the condition & location, but the staff should be checking over the equipment each day also, so the fact that the online check in is required to save a $20 charge seems a like a bit demanding especially for those customers who aren't that tech savvy.

The truck broke down. My trip was delayed 10 hours and had to stay overnight in hotel. I contacted customer service and they gave me the run around and never offered a refund of any kind. I emailed a supervisor, Tracy Senner and never received a response.

The General Manager was rude she went ahead and charged me $ 43.90 for waiting for the employee for over 45 minutes. I left and placed the key in the drop box. I called and she said, it was my lost and she yelled at me over the phone, that it was my fault.

We told the representative that we were going one way to Georgia with our Uhaul multiple times. This was acknowledged. Despite this, we still were only charged for a local trip and once we got to Georgia and tried to drop the trailer off, we were told that if we didn't return the Uhaul back to Kansas, we would be fined $1450. So we had to drive it all the way back to Kansas. Such an awful experience. Uhaul customer service did nothing to help.

I rented a hand truck that I never got. they did make it right by giving me a refund but it was just difficult to load it without it. but over all not the worst not the best.

Made a reservation online and it was cancelled before the date I was to pick the truck up. Called and was told it was cancelled due to not answering the phone. The only truck that was available was half the size as the one I originally reserved, which meant I need to make twice as many trips and needed the truck twice as long. Was given the original timeline. The truck didn't have cruise control or a ramp. U-Haul will be at the bottom of my list the next time I need to rent a truck to move. Twice Ina row I've had nothing but issues from U-Haul.

The location customer service was great. However U-Haul customer service over the phone was horrible. They U-Haul customer service representative double booked my rental and I had to wait until 12:00 PM to get a truck. When the Mid-West Ace Hardware U-Haul representative called the U-Haul representative blame them for the screwup. I booked through U-Haul over the phone. So it was U-Haul customer service fault.

We walked in and went right to the UHaul desk. A lady immediately came over to help us. We had checked in online so it was so easy! She asked us a couple of questions, gave us the key, and walked us to the truck. She was friendly and new exactly what she was doing. The truck was clean and ready to go. It only took us about 10 minutes and we were on the road. Great experience!

We had planned to pick up the Uhaul in Manhattan, KS, but they could not accommodate that location so it was unfortunate that we had to drive to Junction City and cut it close to our daughter's graduation, but the folks in Junction City were very nice and helpful.

I've rented from Penske, Budget, and Uhual. My recent experience with Uhual was absolutely terrible. From getting to the location and learning there was no truck for us even though we reserved one. To the mobile pick up not working. To uhuals system running so slow that we waited for over 30 minutes just for the computers to load. I'll pay more and go to Penske next time. Absolutely don't recommend.

The mobile pick up option was a disaster. It told me that I could not be verified and had me go inside to complete the transaction. No call or anything to help me fix the issue. Thankfully the Ace Hardware location was still open to assist me. It took an hour to complete the transaction due to the mobile process locking me out and not letting the Ace representative complete the transaction either. We had to call another uhaul representative to unlock my reservation. She said it was because my DL picture was not acceptable, but the ACE representative had it on his system screen as well and there was not an issue with the image from what he could see. The mobile representative that was texting with me for just long enough to lock me out, could have easily fixed the issue but decided not to. ACE did a good job turning a bad experience into a positive.

I hope that in the future the truck is at the closest/ chosen location. We reserved the truck 28 days ahead of time & had To drive 35 miles to get the truck instead of 8. We returned it late in the evening before it was due at 8am & they weren't expecting it. No problems with the actual truck.
