When you ask for a picture of the van, the first one should say opened followed by closed. We took a picture of the closed back of the van and had put the key inside and locked it. Then the next picture asked for the door opened so we had to do the combination lock and open the van to take the picture. Also you need to explain what you consider to be a clean van. The drivers seat was ripped in several places and the floor of the van was really dirty.

There was nothing wrong with the location. It was the horrible, awful, dreadful check-in experience. You have offloaded the whole procedure on the person renting the vehicle. Like you are doing us a favour by renting to us. It saves you paying for a customer service rep I guess. When I arrived the whole UHaul system was down. Then I got multiple errors as it asked me to "scan" my driver's license and a whole lot of other garbage. Then it asked me for a reference for Pete's sake and they called my brother. The other choices were idiotic. Who carries their passport on them. Ridiculous. Then it stopped working all together and sent me back to the step for taking a picture of my license. Repeated errors. I called your check in number and was on hold for 15 minutes. When I finally got someone, the line disconnected. Another 10 minutes on hold. The woman on the phone was finally able to walk me through the horrible check-in procedure. Over an hour after I arrived at Migson. Again me doing everything myself. Just so you don't have to pay someone to be at a counter and do all this stuff. You saved your shareholders a few million dollars in payroll across however many locations. Congrats Mr CEO. I will never, ever, ever rent anything from UHaul again. You are terrible.

Put on Hold 15mins then talk to the worse gentlemen ever. He was condescending, talked down to me and had so much attitude. Then transferred a 3rd time and cut the line. So we had to call back. Pick up took 1hr in the rain instead of 5 pleasant minutes. HORRIBLE. Worse ever customer service. Plus we then found out from last agent that "Uhaul has this problem all the time". Insult to injury. John BThe mobile app promises a smooth experience, but is a bit sad. Once you have started the process to rent a truck, if you do not immediately proceed, the app makes the user start over instead of saving the information that has already been filled out. Upon returning the vehicle, the app does not ask for a photo of the mileage/fuel, nor for the parked vehicle, OR for a video to prove it has been returned, it just says to lock it up and asks for the gas gauge to be updated. The promise that 'Someone will contact you shortly" does not turn out to be true. This location is poorly staffed and their phone does not get picked up and the voicemail is full. The email just bounces back, so I had to spend ONE HOUR on the phone the following day of the return to get your staff to make a note in the system that the truck indeed was returned. The email with the receipt link comes back with "Problem Loading Page" and the mobile app's "VIEW RECEIPT" function comes back with "The page you are trying to access does not exist." As I said, that this is the case in 2024 is just sad. KL
Kevin LMignon is a 3rd party partner and as such provides only a parking spot with no support from staff. Very challenging for a senior with limited digital skills to navigate the online check in by cell phone. Choose a Uhaul location with personal service. Truck was clean and safe. Good price.
john cThe uHaul App did not assign the truck to my reservation. It took an hour and a half to get it sorted out. The truck did not have any of the extra equipment we had requested and paid for. Customer service calls (3) all had 10-15 minute wait times. I still need to wait for someone to call me to get refunded for equipment that wasn't in the truck. Overall a very poor experience.

Kerry CI am exhausted from having to use an app to deal with unlocking a truck to go. I registered the day before and the app is not easy to use it took me an hour to get going. The app software is not clear when trying to go through the steps of unlocking. The button hides at the bottom where no one can see it. I requested half a dozen blankets and got nothing and want a refund for this.

SIFAN LNo customer service at the location, the app is horrible, it took over an hour to go thru the app to pickup my rental as it couldn't pick up my location even though it was enabled and fully authorized to location services. Called customer service, he was able to help a bit, but call was ended before the pickup task was completed. Overall not happy with the customer service, verification agent hung up on us, it was a shit experience and very frustrating especially on a day when we had alot to do. This was completely unnecessary hassle that was 100% avoidable.fix your app, train your customer service reps.
Matt RI've complained about one of your locations at Express Wireless, 462 Birchmount Rd Unit 28, Scarborough, ON M1K1N8 where I originally placed my reservation for pick-up at 9:30AM but neither of their displayed contact numbers were picking up for us to access the truck and keys.We didn't get anything until calling the customer service line twice! that this branch was open 12nn and they cant hand the keys then. Wasted 30mins of our time since we were also reserved at specific time slots for the service elevator And even when we were redirected to a new location, the app asked us to put in the drivers license twice! and even asked for 4 contacts which delayed us for another hour after calling the customer service back-and-forth twice. It's a huge inconvenience and this is just terribly unacceptable The account, email and credit card are all under my name Gabriel Alviar but the drivers License is under Ronlado Marano

I spent almost 2 hours trying to see how I could fix it and nobody help me. I have not used the van because of your incompetence and besides you charged me with the service! Check the kilometers and the calls before charging your costumers I was in the middle of a moving I could not waste more time with you so I had to rent in another place.

Lawrence PWhen I first arrived, I was told to check in via the app and not via the service desk. When I returned the vehicle I was unable to use the app to sign out because the mileage I drove was high. When I called uhaul, they told me I needed to "talk to the staff tomorrow when they are open". I asked if I could just talk to the staff now given that they were still open, they said yes. When I went into the office to return the vehicle they told me that I needed to use the app. I told them that I was told to approach them because the app wasn't letting me return the vehicle. It seems like the app is incomplete, the in person staff defaults to always redirecting people to the app, and the phone support is just reading from a script. Overall, it was a confusing and very frustrating sign in/out experience. Adding to the above.... I couldn't complete my check in without inspecting the vehicle, but I couldn't get the keys to inspect the inside of the vehicle until I checked in.
Geoffrey HI've rented from UHaul twice - and both times the App to pick up the vehicle have been a nightmare. The reservation didn't show when I logged into my App. Called for support and a text link was sent - as soon as you use it once, it disappears from the text messages. I was given another number to call for the scheduling manager, and after listening to a long promotional message, nobody was available to answer. The remote pick up using the App is a good idea, but WOW - it doesn't work well at all. And please stop trying to sell me moving supplies or a storage unit when I'm there to pick up a van. By that time in the process, I've figured that stuff out and am on a timeline for the day. Trying to pick up the vehicle using it was a disaster - the app kept crashing or dropping out. Eventually I had to get the person working at the location to do a manual pick up. Same for the return - no chance with the App.

SHELLY PIn the past the staff at this location was super helpful, pleasant and personable. The current staff at this location have no social skills. They blast their gangster rap music on the speakers and ignore you while looking at their phone when you ask for help. They refer you to the Uhaul app which is barely functional. Definitely won't use Uhaul again if this what has become. 0/5 stars. Dog s#$& customer service!
MICHAEL CBooked a van online and got a confirmation. Showed up at the location and the attendant said the truck was “double booked” and refused to give it to me since I was second to reserve. He did not elaborate further. After wasting twenty minutes of my time on the phone with U-Haul customer service and nearly missing my pickup, I found out that the other customer was a mere 6 hours late and it was 2 hours before closing. Some common sense and a bare minimum of customer service might have saved me that headache. Will not be coming back here again.

After a frustrating 30 minutes, my daughter we in and then staff assisted her and we got the rental. I am not impressed.

Robert LI arrived to pick up my rental van at 9am. The snow hadn't been cleared off of the vehicle, or from around the parking area. The person at the counter smugly informed me I probably wouldn't be able to get it out because their "maintenance guys" were running late. I had to borrow a shovel from them to dig the vehicle out myself as well as borrow a windshield brush to clean off the vehicle itself, as one wasn't provided in the vehicle. This cost me 1/2 an hour of my own time, which wasn't offered to me as an extension of my rental period. I've dealt with other U-Haul dealers in the area and have always had a good, professional and helpful experience. However Migson Storage is always difficult to work with... this is not my first bad customer relations experience with them. I will NOT be using them again.

That being said, the Migson location was clean, well stocked with other moving supplies, and the person at the counter was very pleasant.

Darren CYour online system is a horrible customer experience, especially the checkout process. The exterior of the van, as expected in this weather, was filthy and to expect me to see anything sick as scratches or small dents is impossible. The staff at Migson really saved the day though. Keep live check ins and either scrap or fix your horrible digital process.

Morgan MI drove 49km and had to put 13 litres of gas in the tank. It was obviously not full when I picked it up. That is ten miles to the gallon including some highway driving. That is a rip off!
Robert IOnline pick up didn’t work and had to rebook in person. This took extra time. The padlock lock was not easy to open. It was stuck and had to pry the physical lock open in inclement weather with gloves. Everything else was okay.
