I was not impressed with the gas charge. I put thought I had over-filled the tank from where it was when I picked it up and it ended up being slightly under. Uhaul took the opportunity to charge my credit card $16 for what would have been about $3 in fuel. Also, it says .89/km. $1.43/mile seems far more expensive and I'm going to do some research into this. If it is false advertising, I will make a fuss about it.Stephanie W.

The on-line check in procedure is absolutely onerous - it took an inordinate amount of time and I still didn't do it correctly. Plus there is way too much personal info collected - in this age of cybercrime I was extremely worried about this. I will never use U-Haul again for this reason alone.Vern C.

The management was very reasonable and flexible with my rental given the business volume on June 30th, one of the more popular moving days in the year, because of the end of the public and secondary school years. The only small "bump" was that the lock-box was a bit tricky for me open to retrieve and deposit the key for the vehicle. But overall very satisfied with my experience.Wayne S.
U-Haul made this a very stressful move because I reserved my truck at a different location and they changed my pickup location and never notified me. I selected text message as my method of contact but I never received any text notifying me of the change. I took a taxi over to the original location only to find that the self pickup wouldn't work and when I looked in detail on the website it showed a new pickup location even though at the top of the page it still showed my original rental location. At this point I had to take another taxi to go across the city to the new location and I was already an hour behind schedule. I couldn't finish my move on till around 1:30 a.m. at which point I had to drive back to the East end to drop off the van. The new location added mileage to my account and an additional taxi fare and a whole lot of stress. I'm trying to reach customer service but I've been on hold for over 30 minutes which only adds to the terrible experience. I fully expect a refund for this horrible ordeal and I hope that I can speak to an agent for an explanation of what happened. I have screenshots of my text messages and the website if proof is needed.Rilan S.

Migson was very friendly and helpful, but the website was difficult to use and then when i called the 1-800 number to fix my order, i was misinformed as to rental policy/procedure by 2 people at different times, which had a serious negative impact on our move, and the app malfunctioned several times in using it, which was problematic.Lysa T.

I booked an 8am mobile pickup using the web site. I got a confirmation of an 8:30am pickup. Not what I wanted as I was on a very tight schedule. it turns out this location Does not support mobile check-in and does not open until 8:30. It took until 8:50 to get the keys and my return time was still 4 hrs. from start of paper processing instead of when I got the van. your web site should be updated to advise a client when mobile check in is not available. the first time I found this out was 8am when I tried to check in and site said I couldn't and I would need to wait until someone arrived to do it manually. Also I had to clean my rental because agent did not have time to do it. not a good covid-19 process.J David C.
Upon picking up the van, I was unable to "scan" my documents (which I already uploaded and were verified),and this was very frustrating. Luckily the person working was able to simply see it was me by checking my ID. Also, although I understand the idea of contactless pick up etc...and when I got in the van I accepted the van as it was which was fee of litter and debris but had a really dusty/dirty dash and console. At some point, someone at Uhaul should clean the vans. Having said that, this location was great to deal with, the van was waiting for me and the cost was reasonable and what I expected based on my pre-booking. I would rent again from here! :)Bryan K.

The website is overwhelming, the intention to up sale all the things I do not need is too much and at a cost of pissing off your customers. While expect your company to take every precaution to secure my information, taking a picture of my drivers license is a HUGE security risk. It took 30 minutes to check in. This is way too long. Please simplify your website and consider the importance of being able to interact with a person.Rachel H.
The experience of the UHAUL app/online check in is so bad it's hard to put in words. I've used it twice now and it's been exactly the same in both circumstances. I had such a bad experience the first time that this time I elected to pay extra money just to check in at the counter, only to be told that this wouldn't be possible and that id still need to use the self serve option. Here is a summary of my experience: ordered my van, filled out all pre work including uploading shots of my drivers license. This is advertised as a way to save time, hilariously. Opt to pay to check on at location - so far so good. A few hours prior to picking up the van I get an emailed informing I'll need to use self serve check in. Go to location and open app, select â€œpick up my truckâ€, it asks me to take a picture of myself, so I do and nothing. I take another picture, another picture, another picture, nothing. Contact chat agent (5 min wait) an at this point I'm just standing in a parking lot already behind schedule. Agent tries to trouble shoot and eventually tells me not to use the app but instead use the site (why have an app l?) so I log into the site and managed to proceed. I am now asked to upload photos of my drivers license license again? Then The van I was supposed to check in wasn't there. Anyway finally managed to get to the end of the check in I was told to go inside the location and pick up the key. This is after I tried to check in in person and was told it wasn't possible. Honestly, the self serve check in process is a disaster it needs to be fixed quickly. You guys aren't the only company doing short term van rentalsstewart E.
I signed up for a rental for a location on Gerard which was only several hundred metres from my house, but when i got confirmation and went to that location, I had been re-routed to another location on Gerard and was forced to take an Uber to pick the truck up and then another once I'd returned the rental.Terry K.

The moving truck was really really dirty inside, there was too much dust and rest of coffee in the truck. Also, there was dirt in our seats and the tank was just 1/4 and I had to stop in a gas station for 2 times for me to be able to drive safely without concerning about the truck would stop anytime soon, because of lack of gas. If I need to do another moving, I would go to another company next time, because the truck that I had was way to dirty to be able to drive.Tetiana P.
