I ordered moving blankets and a dolly I was not able to get either. They didn't have the key to the supply closet. I must stress that was very inconvenient. I was moving from Philadelphia to Chicago and had alot of heavy furniture. It was very back breaking carry everything. I'm very disappointed with uhaul for that reason.Tammy B.

When I first rented my vehicle the agent never explained in details the rates and how it would be divided, also at this location they have changed management several times and at some point in time they didn't help with understanding about extending my reservations, I'm quite surprised at my final billing and quite disturbed over unanswered questions and explanations during my usage of my contract of 180 days.Anthony B.

Be upfront with ALL FEES. I was quoted a rate for insurance but it ended up being much higher and the person obviously didn't know what she was doing. although she was nice. It would help if U-Haul explained that you MUST buy insurance for your vehicle if you are renting from a non U-Haul location. There also wasn't much inventory at the location, which could of course be frustrating for those in the nearby area.kwadowo A.

I had a terrible ed experience today. I was scheduled to pick up a uhaul from one place and they were not prepared. They didnot know I was coming. I was suppose to be transferred to Ming's and nothing was done correctly they had no record of my order. This was an example of poor customer service.Deborah D.
Staff very friendly. The only problem I had when l returned the rental cargo van with a full tank of gasoline and did not get credit for it. I went to my destination and gas level dropped to 1/8 mark. I assumed I could not drive back with the van with a gas tank 1/8 full of gas. Therefore, I filled the tank. I was surprised that the needle on the tank when I returned the cargo van was still full. To say what? It is not my fault that I used a better grade of regular gasoline that burned less than the cheap gasoline that U-haul placed in the van when I drove off the lot. I paid $2.419 per gallon for regular gas. The van took 16.771 gallons of gasoline which costed me $40.57. I'm pretty sure I was over charged due to an error on the locations part where the mileage was logged in in correct. They have summer time teenage employees and this was the worst over all experience I've had renting a uhaul. I tried to give them a chance even though a lot of errors were made from the beginning of the process on a simple rental but I should have requested an older employee so I take blame in not resolving the issue before leaving and paying but once I thought about the charges and the places I drove the vehicle the miles did not add up and I pretty much had no way to prove it at that point and the situation was not resolved by the location or uhaul so that sucks. Next time I will make sure they do a walk around on the vehicle before I leave the lot and I'm glad it was a small charge opposed to them saying i did damage to the vehicle or anything similar because I failed to inspect the vehicle and mileage in their presence which I thought was their job to began with. They only had two trucks, so I had to get a vehicle much larger than what I actually needed. When I went to return the truck there was no drop box to leave the key after hours, so I had to delay my return. Their storage unit is filthy. There is debris falling into the unit because the top of the storage space is not covered. The gentleman who works at the facility was very accommodating and helpful. He handled our inquiries quickly and to the best of his ability.Takiyah S.
Get your IT department's attention. I was trying to return my truck by noon but I was late. Apparently you automatically sent an email to the customer who was waiting for my truck. That email said they wouldn't be able to get it until 5:00 p.m. They were not pleased until I came rolling in (not very late). Give your people behind the counter a chance to fix things before you start blasting emails out telling people of massive delays. If your communication was better you get 5 stars. Better than Budget any day though.Kelly H.

Everything was wrong, beginning with a worker whose only answer to most questions was, "I don't know. That's what comes up on the computer". Most troubling was pickup Mon 2:00 - return Wed 2:00 = two 24-hour periods (my understanding from 5 years of rentals at another site) and his insistance that M/T/W + 3 days. When I made the reservation, I was told I could leave my own vehicle in their lot; when I arrived, I was told I could not. Vehicle had gravel that I had to sweep out. Vehicle had considerable small scratches which were not noted. He told me to take pictures. I had no way to do that so he came out and took pictures with his phone that he said he would email to me. I never received them. He was not overtly rude; he just had a remarkable determination to stay uninvolved in any way.James C.
Equipment worked well but it wouldn't hurt to clean the inside more. An occasional wiping down/vacuum of the cabin area goes a long way! We're paying for a service, doesn't matter that it's a transport vehicle.Simone J.
