Great, convenient location - key drop wasn't obvious and parking lot has a lot going on with other trucks, pot holes and fill dirt, but it worked for us.

Make sure that management or whoever is working review the condition of the truck when equipment is picked up and dropped off. When I dropped off because they will charge you a cleaning fee even if the truck is cleaned. Also I had the equipment for an extra day so the management took it upon themselves to upgrade the insurance I selected from $14 to about $40. Just make sure to cover your own ass when dealing with this location.

When arrived the place was closed although the business hours listed said they would be open for another hour. Holiday closing schedule was not posted nor was hours they would be working for holiday schedule.

I failed to check the gas gauge when I picked up my truck but was told there was a full tank of gas in the truck. There is no way that the truck could've have a full tank - I spent over $40 refilling the tank to full for 21 miles of driving.

The equipment was great. Sadly, the admin associated with the experience has been a bad experience. When I rented the truck, I was charged an extra $100 because that charge was added to the transaction "by the software," according to the counter attendant. She couldn't take the charge the invoice, and I couldn't take the truck without paying the entire amount. She assured me that the $100 would be refunded to me automatically. The following week I monitored my bank for a return which never arrived. The week after that I called Ming's Self Storage three times. The first time I reached a live person at an answering service who said she would alert the manager. After not hearing from the manager within a couple days, I phone twice more, leaving messages on a voice machine. Still, no response. I then found another number that got me through to the Uhaul rental desk. The attendant informed me that Ming's couldn't adjust my account because Ming's "was only a Uhaul agent" and unable to refund my money. I would have to call Uhaul. At that point, I'm mad. I had spent 1-2 hours trying to find someone to fix my problem (when, in fact, YOUR staff should have stepped in and resolved the issue). Then I call GoUhaul and get a recorded message that asks me if I have filled out a survey. Hell no! I don't want to fill out a survey. I want to talk to a human who will give me my money back. And incredibly, the recording doesn't offer any instructions. I don't know if I'm in a queue, I don't know if I'm supposed to hit some other button. Horrible customer experience. Tonight I called GoUhaul again. This time the message makes it clearer that I need to fill out the survey as the first step in the process. Maddening, but at least there's a direction. Please advise next steps ASAP.

I was completely lied to. My contract wasn’t honored. I reserved a one way van, pickup from 19144 to dropoff 19148. I was told to go to another location tonpickup the van I needed after reserving that configuration with my c card. Once I arrived to pick up my van I was told I can’t have one way so I’d have to double my mileage to drive back to drop the truck where U-Haul sent me to get it, after the fact. The representative mad calls and his supervisors as well as U-Haul had a “too bad” attitude and refused to take any measures to provide me the service I paid for and requested. It added hours and cost onto my trip and I missed hours of work and added gas money. Terrible experience. This is the third and last time I’ll trust U-Haul, each experience gets worse.

What a joke. The original location was 4837 Chestnut Street which called the day before and changed to a location 5 miles outside of town (Mings). The 4837 Chestnut Street location claimed they had no vans and when I went to check the day of reservation they had 5 vans available for rent. But would not fill my original request. Instead I had to uber 5 miles outside of town for the same van. What a joke. Very poorly run business added time and cost. Additionally they changed my drop off location from what I requested. What's the purpose of making a reservation? This was a complete failure on U Haul part. I had made the reservation a week prior to coming out. Note I did note have a problem with Mings it was with the Chestnut location.

I was told there were no furniture pads at the location the morning of while on my way to pick up the truck. I was then placed under a time and material constraint as a result. I had to then buy furniture pads for a one time use and fewer pads than desired overall and required for proper truck packing. I was highly dissatisfied with the UHaul experience and the multiple failed attempts at UHaul to assist me. I will be writing more reviews on other external websites on how poor UHaul overall was. I felt Mings was placed at a disadvantage due to the poor corporate management of UHaul and my "guaranteed" reservation. Mings overall was exceptionally nice despite my reservation issues.
