Normally, I would not mind picking up the truck from a storage facility. Main problem was, there was no one working at the storage facility at the time. I had to call a number, that transferred me to a storage facility in Palatine. THEN, that person had to call a U-Haul person, who then called me back, and I had to do all the registration over the phone. According to the U-Haul person, they were recently at the facility, I wish they would have been able to stay and deal with me in person. I will say this person was very agreeable, and we were able to take care of everything, but what should have taken fifteen minutes took forty-five minutes. I also did not like that I had to drive to a different facility that I was unfamiliar with. I picked the Forest Park facility, because it is a five minute walk from my house. I did not like that I was told one business day before that I had to go to an unfamiliar site. Last problem I had was that the truck I received had no ramp. If I had made the reservation at the last minute, I would understand driving to an unusual location and get a truck with no ramp, but I made a reservation several weeks in advance so this would all be avoided. I would say the truck was fine, and drove well, just wished I could have avoided the rest of these issues.
