Not much. I arrived early and they worked to get me a truck before the scheduled pickup. It had everything I asked for and I added a few things at the store. They were quite helpful and personable. This is a small set up but has everything one needs and is a short ride from San Diego airport and at the intersection of I-5 and I-8 so no matter where you are going you'll be able to hop on and go N-S or E-W.

I requested 2 because of the need to move large pieces of furniture and have 2 mix matched dollys made it really difficult and uneven
Reedham PTruck was ok but needed some maintenance as the alignment was pretty terrible. The truck was clean! It got the job done at a reasonable price so it all worked out.

After 15 minutes on the phone, when a representative answered they hung up before we could talk; leaving e to figure it out on own. I requested and was charged for a dolly but it was not in the truck. This made my move more difficult. Now I must call for a credit.

Jacqueline RI rented a U-haul two days prior at a different location and had a totally different experience. At the outset, Mission Valley didn’t ask me if I wanted coverage, they didn’t give me an estimate, and they didn’t explain costs at all. I knew to ask, though, because I had just rented. U-Haul from Pacific Beach two days prior. The reps seemed irritated at my questions, and that raised a flag - like I thought I’d need to make sure they didn’t overcharge me. When I returned the truck, I was told on the lot that I could now just give him my key and drive away - no checkout. He said I’d receive an email. I went in the office anyway to make sure I wouldn’t be overcharged - I was. They charged me for coverage, and they charged me for 40 miles when I went closer to 10. When I pointed out to the rep that I was overbilled, he rudely said nothing at all to me in response, acted like I was being a pain, and made calls to fix this issues. I eventually got charged for what I actually used, but this place is sketchy. Watch your back.

VAN LCar was not ready for pick up, app selection said I did not have to go to the front desk I could use my phone for pick up. side mirror on my car kept moving (really bad for traffic). If your come out with an app and let your customers believe its going to be an easy processes than it should.

Shawna CMy wallet was lost over the weekend and credit cards turned off. During this time the manager of the location kept calling and texting the card would not go through. I explained him the situation. As I was filling up the truck and putting all of my belongings in my Tesla as U Haul recovery tow truck pulled up next to me and asked me to “make it easy and just hand him the keys” so I did and I received a bill for the recovery which I refuse to pay. The process was completely unneeded and a waste of time and resources.

RALPH MThe drop-off location was in a rougher, more rundown area, but despite that, the staff there were friendly, respectful, and made the return process quick and easy. I appreciate the professionalism on both ends and would definitely rent from U-Haul again.
JUVENTINO MThe company gave me a defective truck. When I complained after the move, they simply said it was a minor defect. However, it greatly affected my move since I couldn't use the truck because I had to wait for the mechanic to check the defect. I lost six hours of my time and they also charged me $230 more for the rental of a truck that definitely did not work and left me stranded on the road. I do not recommend this company since they do not provide satisfactory customer service. They are only concerned with charging and charging. They charged the total rent and mileage even though I told them the truck didn't work and I proved it to them with a video. I will definitely sue this company for their responsibility in providing a truck that doesn't work.
Fernando HI requested a van or truck. I was given a huge cargo. It was parked in middle of street. A huge bus came and I had to get it out the way. Staff just left it there. I moved it to hotel next door and could not turn around. I needed a formal walk through and for cargo can to not be parked in the middle of the street. I need refund immediately

ALEXANDER YThis location has provided stellar service the times I have had to use U-Hauls service. This next part however is in regards to customer service who called me the day before I was expecting to pick up my rental. First I find it a huge disappointment to receive a call the day before advising me that the size truck I needed was not available. Why didn’t that call happen a few days before where I would have time to make other arrangements. Now the representative did let me know that I would receive a discount for the inconvenience. He provided an address to where I would have to go pick up the truck that was not convenient at all, but I guess as it was now last minute, I didn’t have much of a choice. From things went from bad to absolutely worst case scenario. I arrived at the specified location that was a good 25 minute drive away from me (each way). When I arrived, they had the smaller truck available but no trailer as promised, they were also not able to provide the furniture dolly as they didn’t have any. We were now behind schedule and without the necessary truck and trailer that was needed and promised. I was left with no choice but to not do anything at this place and so began the mad frenzy to find a truck that we could use since the movers were already waiting for us. Luckily the location at Mission Valley came to the rescue. But this horrible service received by customer service left me thinking that when it comes time to move in to my new place, I will not be renting a U-Haul since I can’t expect to get what I reserved a week in advance.
HECTOR HNothing to improve on, this location at San Diego 2495 circl pl was amazing the lady at the desk was super nice and took care of me well. I received the truck and went on my way. When I came back to return the truck I returned it in the drop box and was on my way.
Richard ZQuick and Accomadating. Decided for a larger vehicle from 10 to 15. Used it for 4 hours and dropped the unit back. Easy peezy

ALFONSO DI originally reserved a truck at a closer location, but my appointment was rescheduled multiple times. In the end, I had to pick up the truck from a much farther location, resulting in additional mileage costs.

MAUREEN MI had requested a hand truck & pads. These items were not provided leaving in a very difficult situation. Upon seeking further assistance, I was basically told- Too Bad, nothing we can do. No Apology nor empathy for my plight. Not Customer Friendly!
RICHARD DI would not recommend any location of U-Haul to my friends. It was a horrible traumatic experience dealing with this company. Every location I went to was awful and poor service.

JUAN LWe were thoroughly satisfied with the convenience, efficiency and cost of the whole experience. Friendly service as well. No more depending on that friend or relative "who has a truck" to help you move or pick something up. Worth every penny and effort to just do it yourself. Will definitely consider using this service in the future. Thank you!!
KELLY DI would say the location was not bad, just put "no" on "clean and inviting" because I dropped the trailer on the street - the parking lot was pretty full. (I did not go into the office.) No problem, just seemed crowded/cramped.
Mark Hlocation did not have furniture dolly and vehicle had issues. Alignment was off resulting in vehicle pulling to the right and the brakes were terrible causing severe vibrations on the highway
ISIDORE SThe charge of $160.48 was much higher than I expected. I know that is U-Haul's charge not this location. However, that is a far cry from the advertised rate of "as little as $19.95 per day", especially since I only had the truck for 6 or 7 hours. U-Haul should be more straightforward with the amount that is going to be charged and that in no case will a customer be charged only $19.95 and that the actual charge including $0.89 per mile will result in the total charge being much higher than the "$19.95 Per Day!" emblazoned on all sides of the vehicle in large green letters. It should say "$19.95 per day plus what we are going to gouge you for mileage and you pay for the gas."
