My biggest complaint would be about the person who I called at the U-haul phone number. When I booked the first reservation I did (We ended up cancelling that one and rebooking it later), I checked with the lady on the phone that I would be able to use our presidents company credit card WITHOUT him being there. She assured me that as long as I had the driver there, that it wouldn't be a problem. I checked that with her several times, since that was the whole reason for my call. Then I got there and I was not able to use the card. They said it had to be the card of the driver. Needless to say, I was upset. This was the entire reason I called corporate. After talking with Carlos there, I felt better and would use U-Haul again, but You guys are not doing your vendors any favors by misrepresenting facts to your customers. Please correct that training. Thank you.

It is in a obscure location and very crowded. When I called for drop off location in Encinitas I was told that they did not have the room to store a box truck at that location. That information was not made clear to me at the time of the rental. The clerk told ,me to call the number for drop off location in Encinitas. That appeared to be rather deceitful information being provided by Uhaul representative. Then I was left with drop off locations that were not on the retrurn path. I had to spend an additional 30+ MINUTES on the phone with representative to work out a drop off location. Causing my helpers (that I was paying by the hour) to wait and by the time everything was settled the traffic of the trip added another half an hour to the trip.

The store clerk wanted to charge me $10 just to guide me backwards off of the car tow. I have done this 4 times and this has never been an issue. I can do it myself, he helped and didn't charge me, so that was good. But he acted as if he was doing me a favor. Also, as he guided me in parking my motor home, he stopped me when my door was in front of a fire hydrant; I hit my door. I was too close to the curb and ruined my slide out step. I would have been better off parking it on my own.

Hard to enter or exit location to/from either street. Could not exit to purchase fuel after being told I would owe over $100 dollars for $40 of gas. Two exits completely closed off by inventory. I have rented a trailer and two trucks within the last month. I have been lied to about additional day price, received poor equipment, and poor service. Uhaul is currently the only game in town in Midland Tx. Once another company comes in with care for customer experience, uhaul will struggle there. The San Diego stores were almost just as poor, but there is competition here.

Actual business location extremely convenient but lack of signage and temporary appearance of business area had me wondering Apia I was at right place. Promptness of check-in by email indicated staff on the bubble.

Ernesto completed pre-inspection of my car for the trailer; he was very professional, courteous and efficient. Carlos is wonderful; he attached the trailer to the truck, guided me onto the trailer and gave me specific instructions for driving while hauling. He repeatedly asked if I had any questions and would not leave me until I assured him I understood and felt comfortable hauling. Nancy had all of my paperwork in order and encouraged me to look the truck over carefully before signing the inspection sheet. I will definitely recommend this location again.
