great experience - decided to move in a Sunday morning and this was just possible because Uhaul was there for us.
MOISES D1. Rented van in the Chicago land area, it is surrounded by toll roads. I expected to pay the tolls. Agent did not mention how to handle tolls, should I bring my transponder? Do I need to contacted the state tollway myself? Does UHaul pay them? If I had not asked, I would never know to contact the toll authority and pay them on-Line and would have incurred penalties for non payment ($20 per toll). 2. Was caught in traffic due to accident I called agent and told him I would be a few minutes late. For 35 min I was charged an additional day. 3. So I was charged for an extra day but didn’t realize it until I looked up my receipt on the app. The agent just said “ No, don’t need to do anything, just drop off the key” he did not disclose he was charging me for a second day. So he is now able to double book the van and rent it to someone else tomorrow -I am paying for the day and the next renter is paying for the same day. Had I known it I would have kept it until 5:00 the second day. I paid for it. 4. The lack of communication from this agent has made this entire transaction harder and more expensive than it needed to be. 5. I will not rent from this agent again. 6. U-Haul is now the last possible option if we need to rent a truck.

Don GYour on line service was the worse, my friend made first reservation under Tori Finklea. When we arrived there was no U Haul. We called they gave us another location in Naperville to go to, but no one was available except a paper in the glass door with who to call. We called and they stated they had no trucks available at this time.
ELIZABETH DWe had the worst hassle trying to pick up our U-Haul. I ordered a truck, and was supposed to pick it up from a real person at the pick up location. When we got there the person said I had opted for contactless, meaning we had to do everything on the app. However, the app wasn’t working and the employee working there did not help us at all. He pretty much said we had to figure it out for ourselves and we almost didn’t up with a moving truck. Horrible customer service.

HANS BUHaul App is terrible. Just poor design and not functional. It took me 30 minutes to check-in and get the key of the truck. Needs immediate improvement.

Scott FThe app is buggy, and the checkout and return process is inconvenient. For example, the app doesn't recognize my press on the button to proceed. Restarting the app did not help. I had to go to the "Reservation" section to open it instead of going directly to the active reservation to complete the checkout process. Additionally, the finalizing contract section does not provide adequate assurance that it will be approved. After all that hassle, why do I have to worry about not getting the truck that I rented? I believe many of the steps can be completed before the rental date.
JUHYOUNG KSaid I did 380 miles when that was impossible. Going to file a complaint.
JARED NServicer was unhelp and rude. Booking would not work, and he would not help to fix. Had to rebook while there and vehicle was dirty.

Steve LDuring the move, I received a text from U-Haul saying the drop-off location had changed. I had to drive another 15 miles and then this location charged me extra mileage! I did get a refund from the U-Haul repo over the phone.

Ali PRental was ready, the staff was friendly and I was able to rent the van quickly and efficiently. The combination of technology to rent online and personal service at the counter was helpful.

Dan WTruck was in great condition, and check out was quick and easy. The man at the counter was very nice as well. There was half a tank of gas, too, so I didn't have to stop before I did my pickup. Zero complaints.
