This location caused an enormous amount of stress to our move. They delayed our trip by days. It was a horrible experience. The girl who helped us on Monday morning was pleasant. I have no complaints about her. The male that lied to us about the verification of pick up should be fired. But honestly the owner is ultimately to blame for either kot training his people or teaching them to lie to just get the person to go away.Susan C.

I stood around for 30 minutes just to be waited on. The man was rude and acted as if I was an inconvenience to him. Then proceeded to help the oil change customer get rang up and checked out instead of starting my transaction. I was an hour late to my appointment and was barely seen until I showed them proof of my uhaul experience and that is the only reason I was able to be squeezed back in. Everyone I talked to in the phone was extremely professional and courteous. Emails about my contract and pickup were easy to follow. The actual pickup at Pro Lube was quick and easy. They had answers to all of our questions and the truck was ready for us. Dropping off the keys afterward made the return so easy. Thank you to all the clerks who were so nice to us. I had rented a truck in December for a week in July, and they called 2 days prior to pick up to tell me I couldn't have one. The nice people at this location were finally able to find a truck for me, but I had to drive 130 miles to get it. I was originally told that I would not have to drive more than 30 miles to get a truck. 130 miles is too far!Marsha P.

No complaints abt the customer service, however I was charged twice! And from what I understood its was $29.00 and $1.09 per mile plus we filled tank up when done. Which was $20.00. We had the truck for maybe 4 hours and only went 12 miles but was charged $66 TWICE.charity M.
When making a reservation it should be more clear as to where the trailer is. I had to travel an 1 hour out of my way to get this trailer. I made a reservation at a certain location and then was notified the day prior to Thanksgiving that the trailer was not at the location I had made the reservation at. So I had to travel 50 miles to get the trailer, which i was not happy about.. The people at the location pick up where very friendly and helpful.todd P.

The guy told me he would check my equipment in in a little bit. He then sat down and started drinking his coffee. I asked him if he was waiting for someone else to arrive. He said no. I asked him why he couldn't check my equipment in due to the fact that NO OTHER CUSTOMER EXISTED IN HIS ESTABLISHMENT. He got upset with me and told me he would get to it when he got to it. The whole experience from beginning to wnd was terrible. There was a ridiculous price difference between what I was quoted online and what I was actually charged. AN ACTUAL 30% INCREASE IN PRICE. Most people in any legal field would call that bait and switch. Total bullshit.Sean F.

I tried calling over 20 times between 8am and 11am. The phone rang and rang. No one answered. When I got there to drop off the truck 2 employees were siting there talking and doing nothing else. Why couldn't they answer the phone?Steven K.

Hated the online pickup and return. Could use major improvements. I rented the trailer but used my dad's vehicle to pickup. My dad dropped it off for me and because it was rented under my phone number he could not walk through the return process online. There was a $20 service charge for not using the online return which is ridiculous. We won't be using the online reservation again.Brittany B.

Truck came to us dirty, I asked for the location in Pella and had to be re-directed to Ottumwa. Very, very, very inconvenient. Also, once I arrived it was like they had none of my information on file so I dont know what the point of the online reservation was.Jacob A.

I NEVER agreed to a over 50$ moving safe charge, my bill should of been 48$ Like I was charged and then four days later you guys charge me over $59 for some moving save charge you need to credit my account now or I will never use U-Haul again and Or this location!Sarah H.

I would not recommend anybody having to deal with the personal at this location. They were rude and not helpful at all. Apparently U haul sent me across country with a stolen tow dolly and when I dropped it off at the Ottumwa location 3 days early they would not report it as dropped off because it was stolen and pretty much accused me of stealing it....I was told that they could do nothing personally to help me so she didn't know what to tell me. Not a good experience at all ..I pick up a tow dolly in California under contract and deliver it back to Iowa 3 days earlier than I was expected to and I get an email stating I did not return my equipment and when I go to Mobile 1 in Ottumwa to show them the dolly I dropped off sitting right there in their lot they tell me it was stole and they could not help me. The man that helped me did not check me in to the system to let U-haul know I had returned my U-haul, that caused other people to call me days later to question me about where the U-haul was at...or if I had NOT turned it in! Just makes me think how much they could affect my account if those days go charged to my account ...just because that employee didn't check in my U-haul rental .Angelita G.

I rented my uhaul 5x8 trailer at 8am on 6/30. It was due back by 7/1 at 8am. I was told that the whole amount I would be charged was $28.28. And that it was due back in 24 hours. Well because the location was closed on Sunday, when it was to be returned, I not only got charged the $28.28, but I got it charged an additional $24. When I called to dispute that, the representative told me that I had rented the trailer for 3 Days so I better be thankful that I didn't get charged for 3 days. And I wouldn't be getting my money back. I explained to her that I had to return the U-Haul around 10 p.m. on Saturday night, June 30th. I have a picture that is time-stamped once I had Parked the trailer. She told me she would have to see what she could do, but I would not be getting my money back more than likely. Then I look on my credit card statement about 10 minutes later, and there is another pending charge for $28.28. Needless to say this is happened before and I will not be going through Uhaul again.Staci L.
