CHARLES BMake sure all trucks are well maintained. The truck we got was damaged, the seat wouldn't move properly, the emergency break release was broken.
RAMIRO GCheck in was painful took too long. Check in with so long that it ran into the time that we had planned and requested to move so we were short about an hour. We ordered two dozen moving blankets and received one does in furniture pads that were not even blankets. The Dolly that we were given was way too small for the type of furniture that we had. The air in the tires of the 26 foot U-Haul truck were very very low and we had to fill them so the maintenance of the truck was extremely poor. Check out was impossible even though we had location on our phone. The site was not able to locate us via GPS And so we weren’t able to submit any of our pictures or the odometer or the fuel amount and the place that we were located so we had to take a zillion pictures in case they had any questions. It took very, very long time for checkout. In fact, it was impossible and we just left we gave up. We left the truck there. It was the most horrible experience we’ve ever had with a move and we would not recommend this site at all or U-Haul. The app was really not very helpful.

Daniel ELocation invented charges, charging cleaning fees for a perfectly clean truck, and added miles to my total driven when I picked it up. A 40$ surprise. Avoid.
ANDREW WUsing the UHaul app: you cannot go on the pages to update or change info; when you complete the application, the app directs you to go inside the building to get the keys but there is no building, you call the local phone number and the manager will inform you where the keys are located in the vehicle-I spent 15 min trying to get into the local building. Checkout will take 10+ min on the app in order to take pics of everything and put the keys in the drop box, very easy. The vehicle was clean, in good shape, and functioned as I needed. The location is next to the frontage road which provides easy access on and off I-10. No military discounts.

TIMOTHY HWasn’t expecting a “self service” drop off. If i had not been capable of lifting the trailer off of my hitch, i couldn’t have dropped the trailer off. It worked out in the end, just wasn’t the experience i was expecting. No human interaction.

Robert RI’d recommend but let friends know the equipment is clean but in the need of an update. Parking brake release was dangling under the dash, drivers seat cushion was slipping off and the A/C was not working properly. Was ok for local use but would NOT take this truck on a long haul!!

Mia CDONT RENT HERE! the guy who runs this place is very condescending, rude, egotistical, and hates his job and customers. He will charge you for things like “missing dollys”. Unfortunately he was so adamant about “our wrongdoing” which was false, that he wouldn’t help to even double check what he was saying was right. And unfortunately he does this with most of his customers!

Call me (210) 460-4265,” the person answered rudely and hung up on me as soon as I asked about the charge. I called again, and when I asked for his name, he replied, “I am Mister Y.” At that point, I began recording the conversation due to his unprofessional behaviour. This experience was very disappointing and concerning.

AIDAN GIn terms of location to pick up and drop off the van it was very close. It was very confusing when picking up the van as I did not realize there was no one at this location to help. Just key pick up. The van was clean and well maintained and drove well. The only issue was the side sliding door did not always unlock and took several times to open even when all other doors were unlocked and opened even after following the instructions to pull on the handle a couple of times to open and slide back. The other difficulty was using the U-Haul App and the link which did not work when trying to access and provide information. However, given that, Roger was always available to speak on the phone, text and email very quickly. Roger was so very helpful, patient in helping schedule and explain the process, costs etc. I only said not the recommending this location due to the "no contact or staff" as I had never rented a vehicle without a customer service rep at the location. Again, thank heavens Roger was available remotely to help.

Melvin BDuring check-in the app stop working after signing the rental agreement. It never showed us which truck was our rental. Did not let me take pictures of any damage. We took pictures ourselves to get a time stamp so we could not get charged. Had to call the number on the sign for someone to come out and pull the truck out. The guy said that “we” had completed check-in online which was not true.

Elisha TThis is a self checkout only location, and apparently 50% of customers arrive not knowing / not prepared for the process, which then precipitates a call to the franchisee, who must grudgingly come out and assist. OK, I should have read the text notifying me the location was self checkout, but if half of your customers fail to get the picture maybe there is an opportunity to improve the process / communication.

Muqing LSo, Roger, the guy who manages this UHaul location, was AMAZING!!! I have never had the opportunity to use a totally virtual UHaul rental. I did have to reach out to him a couple of times by phone, but he was soooo patient with me and helpful to me. It was a perfectly seamless experience!!!! I have already recommended it and told my family and friends in the area that this is the place to rent UHaul!!!

Jose EI will never rent a U-Haul from an unmanned location ever again. It was the worst experience I have ever had. There is no reason it should take 45 minutes to get a vehicle and 30 minutes to return it. No one mentioned when I made the reservation online with a live person and this was an unmanned location and that I needed to download an app and spend 45 minutes taking pictures of a vehicle on my personal phone and sharing my personal location so that at some point, you might possibly be able to locate my phone again even after I've returned the vehicle. I will never ever rent a U-Haul from an unman location and possibly not even from a man location again.
