Sorry. I don't ever leave bad reviews. Maybe the person that was suppose to receive the trail I was dropping off had a family emergency. If so, I apologize. I busted my butt to get this dropped off before 5pm and no-one was there to receive it. I called twice to the number provided but no one replied. The trailer I rented was perfect and did a great job. I had to inflate one of the tires twice but other than that great.Paul R.

Returning the vehicle was a little tough. Trucks were a tight fit. Came into the area of return and had to do a turn around to get the truck facing in the right direction. I order 2 dolies, appliance and a normal 1. Didn't receive the appliances dolly but got charged. Try to contact no answer, have up.David N.

Videos explaining process and online help do not match this location. This is an unmanned location and the process for picking up keys and checking in are completely different. There is no 'desk' to go to and you mus call the number at the location (which does not answer immediately) to get assistance.Mark B.

We didn't clearly understand the â€œlocal moveâ€ option and that we had to return the truck to the same location. If we'd have known that, we wouldn't have done that. We tried to pick a return location closer to our new home, but that didn't work apparently. Got charged 14$ for SafeMove when that wasn't something we asked for. Check-out was incredibly difficult despite following instructions and not have the order show up in the app. I spent at least 15 min on the phone trying to get it figured out. Check in was equally difficult because the QR code at the location was broken and couldn't verify I had arrived. Owner of location didn't answer phone. Finally, got it to work on the website with my location. The entire experience left me incredibly frustrated and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately, I have to go back tomorrow and rent another truck to finish the move.Brian J.

On the website it says this is an in person location. This location is simply a parking lot with a phone number to call to check in the vehicleâ€˜s. No service is provided at this location. When you call the phone number to check in the vehicles, nobody answers the phone number. I had to call six times before someone returned my call. The employee then gave instructions that were incorrect, and when I called to expressed my concerns regarding discrepancies he was a rude, used explicit language, and offered to charge me less if I gave him a better rating for his poor service. This location should 1) answer the phone 2) have service as advertised 3) not threaten customers regarding ratings and improve tone/language. I would never use this location again.Adam G.

U-Haul trucks were parked in muddy areas. Getting to the vehicle was slippery due to all the mud. I had difficulty using the mobile check in so I called the local number that was listed on the sign and the man was rude, asking me if I saw the video. (Which I did)I he then proceeded to tell me that the keys were in the vehicle and not in the lockbox. When I returned the truck to the same location, I had trouble with the mobile app , it couldn't identify my location. My privacy setting was on. I had to call The U-Haul rep who was very helpful and explained that the privacy setting on the safari app must be on as well. It would be nice if the video explained this step by step, too. I rent U-Haul trucks quite often and this is the only location that I would not recommend.Gina F.

The original location for my pickup was Boerne, TX. Got a call from U-Haul one day before informing me they didn't have enough 10 ft trucks. Had to reschedule me to Camp Bullis Rd and do self dispatch. Upon arriving at Camp Bullis I had trouble with self dispatch. I called help line and the lady told the keys for my truck weren't there and she wanted to send me 20 miles farther! I insisted on help. She called the owner. He came over and saved the day! He was courteous, friendly, and got me on my way.JAMES D.

Give some clases of customer service and asked the agent not to treat his customers like they are all the same. He should stop assuming that any one will stole his vehicle and stop treating people that he is going to report the vehicle to the police and telling people that they can be arrested. I had the worst experience of my life with this location and this company. I wish I can never have to use this services again ever. I took this vehicle to move my stuff to another apartment and it was raining all the time and no one even cared about that and they made me paid for all the days that I couldn't do anything because it was raining. 100% bad customer service.Edilberto P.

Improve the customer service and the app experience. We arrived onsite at 11:12a to check out the truck. My reservation was from 11a-3p. We called the onsite number for assistance to check out truck. Rep. accused us that the truck wasn't present because we were 3 hrs late. Turns out he just needed to send us the link to start the check out process. Then told us we were having problems because we weren't tech savvy. Then said if we can't figure it out he was canceling our reservation in 30 mins. When returning the truck the app continuously froze or timed out. Preventing us from completing the return process. We had to bypass the questions and go straight to check out. Didn't receive a confirmation email saying truck was returned. Worried about over all charge.Eric S.

The truck had horrible transmission issues. We are a school and rented it for a competition. The truck didn't want to go into gear and later had downshifting problems. When we returned the truck, we accidentally locked the keys in the cab. The manager said he didn't have a spare and that our school would have to hire a roadside assistance co to open the door. He charged the school $100 for the door to be opened. Horribly rude.clark S.

Make sure the U-haul has gas for your customer. Make sure the equipment like dollies and furniture pads are in the cargo area ready to go for your customer. If the equipment is in another U-haul by accident, don't tell your customer to go ahead and grab it. Place the equipment in the proper U-haul for your client. Don't make your customer wait at a mobile pick-up when everything should be ready to go.Mitchell R.
This is a great place to rent a UHaul. The truck was clean and had a dolly already in it. I used the after hours pick up. Super convenient. I left a wallet in the truck. They called me and returned it with everything in it. Honestly is a rarity. Thank you.Stephanie G.
You could start by refunding my money. I asked to pick up the truck at the counter. When I get there the place is closed as it always is. The man I dealt was rude disrespectful and had been texting me to see if I was going to pick up the truck. I told him yes. He then said because if not, he was going to rent it to somebody else. Throughout the ENTIRE process of trying to pick up the rental. He was being rude and disrespectful. We got into an argument and he said he was going to cancel my reservation and that I had no authority to take it. He also said he was going to black ball me so I am unable to rent anything for Uhaul in the future. I had already signed in for it. I left the keys where I got it and called Uhaul. After going back and for with various people they finally said I had already sign in to pick it up and it should be in my possession. I gave the reason why I left it. I told them I did not want to deal with that Uhaul store and was told the Uhaul were scare in town that weekend and should just take that one. This took about 2.5 hours out of my time and the time it's the Uhaul. Because of this, I missed the refrigerator delivery to my new home and had to wait 10 days for the refrigerator to be re-delivered. I also asked for dollies and moving blankets of which none were supplied and I paid for them. Worst experience ever!!! Never again at this Uhaul at 6457 Camp BullÃs, San Antonio, TxJudith M.

The truck was completely empty on gas... the app wouldn't let us check out when returning the truck, it wasn't clear what the problem was. Apparently, the display changed to trip B and we couldn't figure out how to change it to the regular mileage display to enter the ending mileage. Nobody would answer the phone that was there to call if you have a problem... that phone number was forwarded to another number. We filled the truck up with gas, and maybe used only a quarter of the tank. BUT, you don't get any money back for that. So we payed by the mile, AND filled it up. CRAZY!!! Just an overall bad experience... I'll never use a UHAL place that doesn't have a "manned" counter again. Oh, there was another group there that was having problems getting their truck too... they couldn't get a hold of anyone either.Mike K.

The self-service was not quick and easy. Roger was helpful, but the process took an hour instead of 15 mins. The truck was clean but had no engine oil, so I had to purchase two quarts myself to ensure the truck made to the destination. It was not something I should have had to pay for.Daniel P.

When arriving to pick up truck Reservation was canceled not by me, we called uhaul at 7 and we're passed around to 4 different people and put on hold for about an hour before some could help us for them to only make our reservation shorter then what we original reserved and had nothing to do with us, also made us drop off truck at pick up location when we didn't want to do that on our original reservation as well which made our mileage double to pay doubleRajen S.

Just received a call at 6:55 am next day, saying that I'll be responsible for a lock which was â€œsupposedly stolen or lostâ€ and they will charge me 85 dlls for the lock. Thankfully, I have pictures of the lock before and after leaving the truck and that doesn't look fair for costumers.Jorge D.

Well, to begin with, if someone rents a truck from a certain location, you should do everything humanly possible to ensure that the client can pick up what they rented from that location. The alternative is not always convenient or feasible. Furthermore, changes to a reservation should be made in a timely fashion and not hours before pick up. Also, if a customer chooses not to return a truck, another customer who needed that truck shouldn't be put out and "re-routed" to another location. Finally, I'm not sure who answers calls for the San Antonio West location, but whoever they are, needs to learn how to answer the phone. I waited over 30 minutes to speak to someone and kept getting people in Houston and South San Antonio. Thank goodness Becca from the South Houston location was so helpful when she didn't have to be. This experience does not make we want to use UHaul again.Ruth A.

There is no place to park, no cell service, the person in charge of this location does not answer the phone or reply to texts. They tow you if you leave your car even on a 6hour rental and I was not the only person there that was unable to access the key or get ahold of anyone. We both spent hours in 100 degree heat trying to figure out how to get the key and coordinate a ride since we could not leave our car. I will never use this location again and I hope you close it down.JOSHUA S.
Be more up front about the rates of your service. I was charged $100 for something that should have been $20 this company is far by the worst there is out there. This is my third time renting from this location, and I had a great experience each time. Good equipment, easy on-line check-out and check-in, and the owner was always accessible when needed. He was on site on one occasion and checked me in himself. I requested an extension to my rental, and he granted it. I would rent there again, and would recommend to a friend as well! Parking is tight for the biggest size truck and helos to know to back in rather than front first however the contact and support from the site manager was excellent even when the mobile app failed to accept any pictures. He responded even late at night and got it resolved so I would say excellent customer service.Christopher B.
