I did not receive the moving pads I had requested and the vehicle I received was rather filthy. I am currently contesting my bill for being charged for moving pads I never received and for the cleaning charge as when I picked up this vehicle the back of the van was caked in dried mud and the cab was filled with dried mud as well and what also seemed to be dog hair. It is a true shame as this vehicle seemed to be relatively new with less than three thousand miles on it.Jocelyn S.

Drove only 47 miles, bought insurance, brought the van back with a full tank and was still charged almost $100 without being given a receipt when asked at this shop. Called today 10/15 and was told there is no way to access a receipt or any information that I gave when I rented this van for not even three hours. What can uhaul do to improve? Next time how about you call me to tell me you didn't have the trailer i rented at the location that i requested 10 min from my house so that I don't have to call you and find out i have to drive 30 miles out of my way to pick up the trailer i reserved a month in advance. The independent business owners that are uhaul locations are the only good thing about uhaul. The experience i described sadly is the second time uhaul hosed me. I don't plan on letting it happen again because i don't plan on using uhaul again.Matthew M.

The check in process was frustrating because the lock was old and not very easy to get open. Check out was confusing because the website wasn't working and I was prompted to drop the keys off prior to being asked to photograph the odometer. Over all great resource to have in the area. I will be better prepared the next time I rent a vehicle.Alyssa S.

The U Haul hand held didn't work well which caused the person doing it to rush. We never did a walk thru and the u haul even though got me to my location was dirty and had a bunch of damageChristopher I.

Service at location was very nice. However, the van absolutely reeked of fuel, to the point where I had to have the windows all the way down -- wasn't the warmest day... - and I still was getting lightheaded. Seemed really dangerous.Max L.

The van was clean upon inspection but after a few minutes of being in it, we noticed it smelled of gasoline inside. Please check the vehicle for any leaks. It was a very strong odor that induced headaches.COREYANDREW C.

This went perfectly well. I would have appreciated some kind of physical receipt when I handed the keys over, but the U-Haul staff was not available so another employee took the key and directed us where to park the vehicle. We got the email receipt from UHaul soon thereafter when the right person came back and processed the return.MICHAEL R.

I was yelled at and sworn at by Jeremy at the rt 9 location in poughkeepsie next to the IHOP. Then I called customer service 3 times before any thing was done about it. I don't believe he was held accountable for his actions. Bc of Jeremy I had to cancel my reservation of a small trailer for a 10 ft box truck. I was told by a CSR named Jamie that she would include the price of a tow Dolly into my 10ft box truck but when the time came I still had to pay for it. You guys are rude and professional liars by the looks of it. I went from $300 to almost $1000 bc of this fuck up. I had to pay a $57 toll for the 2 vehicles and tow Dolly. God knows how much my EZpass was charged in total bc of the damn tow Dolly. I've told everyone I know about my experience and have left several reviews about it. I will never stop telling people to avoid Uhaul as a company for the rest of my life. The guy I dealt with in person to pick up my stuff were cool though.Steven G.
