The van was maintained and clean, but it stunk of cigarette smoke because the boy who pulled it up to the front of the store was smoking a cigarette. I saw him and he wasn’t trying to hide it. The lady offered to spray the inside when I told her it smelled like cigarette smoke. I’m not looking to get anyone fired, but I not sure if I’ll go back to this location and I will definitely tell everyone about it. I normally don’t complain, but my son and I got headaches from the smell. I’m surprised U-Haul doesn’t have a no smoking policy - at least by employees - in the vehicles.

Explain fees and extra charges, instead of surprising someone with extra taxes and fees and additional mile charges when getting it for out of state moves. How do you expect someone to rest on travels and find hotels if they have to be surprised with the charge of extra miles?! I reserve it for a specific price then get charged more when picking up the truck because of taxes and fees that weren’t shown when making the reservation. I might not be using uhaul again.

Office is filthy. Carpet, doors etc. Entrance to the lot is rough with potholes. Suggest paving at least a 6 to 8 foot entrance/exit. Otherwise, this location seems to always have good inventory.

I rented a double axle trailer for a 3 day trip. After I left I went to load my equipment on it and realized that 2 tires looked very low on air. The tires called for 65 PSI and one was at 9 PSI and the other was at 16 PSI. I ended up putting air in ever tire on the trailer as they all were lowered then the recommended amount. The facility was well stocked with equipment and the staff was very friendly put some more preventative maintenance is needed.

The truck had a 1/4 of gas. Which wasn’t a problem for me. Because I was going a very short distance. But if I had to go a little further. I would have had put gas in. When you rent a truck the gas tank should be full. Then you use the truck and then top it off. Everything else was good!!!

Lee was very rude on the phone with me when I inquired why he charged me extra and the math wasnt adding up. He more less called me stupid on the phone and proceed to tell me I cant be slow because I have 2 children. To "do the math in my head" he kept raising his voice at me when I was going was seeing why I was charged more than I was supposed to me. On top of that our ramp was jammed in the truck so we also couldn't use it. This was the worst experience I ever had and I will never go back to this place. Next time I'll use a Penske truck. At least they would refund me for this ridiculousness.

Conduct an inspection of the truck before the key is handed to the customer instead of sending a link to the customer's cellphone and ask them to conduct the inspection. The link expires within a few minutes, a call is required to have another link sent, and then there is no further instructions as to what to choose to get to the inspection sheet. So, inconvenient and time consuming. Also, notifying the customer up front that there would be an additional $20 charge to drop keys in a Key Drop Box after hours would help.

When I dropped off my truck, the man working the desk opened his wallet to give me change and dropped a dollar. I picked it up for him and he replied - oh, you like that, make it rain make it rain, and mimed the act of throwing me dollar bills. Other than this horrifying incident, truck was great and the woman, Lizzie, who checked me in was a star. But I cannot recommend this place, especially for women.

Location was great. Using the online pick up was awful! The mileage was incorrect and thankfully I was picking it up during business hours. They were unable to correct the mileage, but made a comment in the chart so this made dropping the truck off an inconvenience as well because the system thought I wanted to enter a mileage lower than my starting. Again, thankfully I was dropping off at business hours and a worker was able to help me problem solve. There was nothing convenient about using the online system and would not recommend this to anyone or use it again myself.
