When I picked up the trailer, I immediately noticed that it wasn’t clean. Two of the tires were covered in mud, and both appeared to have less than 50% tread life remaining. I mentioned this to the lady at the branch, but she assured me that everything was fine and that all trailers are thoroughly inspected and tested before being rented. However, once I hooked up the trailer, it was vibrating significantly. After driving for about two hours, the vibration finally stopped, but approximately 30 minutes later, one of the tires blew out. Because we had an appointment in Houston that we couldn’t miss, we had to leave the trailer at a gas station and return later to pick it up after the repair was completed. I do want to give credit where it’s due: the Victoria, TX branch responded very quickly. Their technician arrived promptly and replaced the tire in about an hour, which I really appreciated. While I was satisfied with how the roadside service handled the situation, I believe the trailer should have been inspected more carefully before it was rented out to prevent this issue.
