I was asked if I wanted insurance. I had opted for the insurance online so I was qouted like $29 but my bill ended up being $88. I brought it back in like 4 hours clean and in perfect condition. My bank shows 3 separate $29.64 charges totaling the $88.DANIEL A.

Employee Creg Lovett was very unpleasant, unfriendly and after receiving my receipt was dishonest. It took me an extended period of time to get approved the morning of my rental (online). I did not get the truck until 8:53AM. I was under the impression I had the truck for 8hrs. The employee who I checked the vehicle into never explained there was a problem. Matter fact, he was very unpleasant and unfriendly, lacking sufficient customer service skills. My administrative experience was very poor, however the equipment was excellent. I did email CEO Mr. Joe Shoen to express my displeasure with my experience. I cannot say I would recommend a friend to Uhaul after my experience with Creg Lovett. I was told gas is full and the text â€˜before leaving arrived late' and realized the gas wasn't full. I drove 76 miles and ended up filling gas for 15 gallons. The customer service person was the very unfriendly and dull person. Wouldn't want to deal with her again.Rajan C.

Everything was great as usual. The only issue I had was with the app upon return. Could it be my cell phone provider, my location at the time or the app it self I'm not sure. I wasn't able to proceed after the share my location prompt. If it was the actual app fixing this glitch would be helpful. I ended up leaving a message at the storage facility since it was after hours and I couldn't get through to a uhaul representative. The next morning I received a message from the storage facility rep whom finalized the return. Thank you move it and thank you uhaul.DANIEL F.

We had to wait about an hour for the person working there to figure out how to check in the truck we reserved. She told us to top off the tank when we brought it back but we only drove 8 miles and to top off the truck took 3.5 gallons. When we told the associate that the last person didn't top off the gas tank and we put 3.5 gallons in we didn't get any kind of credit for the extra gas we put in (as instructed). Fix your app, the online check out process is horrible. It took 37 minutes to get the truck! This is of course corporate's fault, not this location's, and I made my displeasure clear in app at the time. I would add that asking for references and additional conditions at the time of rental after the reservation was accepted and confirmed borders on illegal and is certainly unethical, had you declined me. On the sole positive note, Ashley, the on site representative when I returned the truck, did offer to check me in at no charge when I explained the difficulties of the pick up. Without her effort, I would have rated this whole process a zero.Michael H.

I didnt speak with anyone or see facility returned vehicle that evening around 6pm. Received notice of a charge of $47.53 for equipment fee and after hours fee. I didnt know about a after hours fee and dont know what equipment fees are for I only used the truck. I returned the vehicle early because I no longer needed it so being charged is strange.APRIL H.

I sent an email (text of that appears below) to the UHaul location on Mar 23 to express my request for refund of $20 and I re-sent it today (Apr 5) because of no response. This is the reason for my "no" recommendation as of now: Subject: UHaul Contract #21827244. Hi - I returned a U-Haul truck and 18 furniture pads today to "Move It Self Storage" 1728 Crabb River Rd, Richmond TX 77469. Equipment: TT 3065E I returned this about 11:30am which would have been normal business hours except for coronavirus. I had called twice (once before driving over and once while at the drop-off) to discuss my return. After returning home I tried several times to use the website and to use the phone app but neither was able to tell me that my return was either accepted or confirmed. I do thank you for the email and receipt but saw I was being charged $20.00 for after hours return. I would like to have the $20.00 credited back to me as I returned the truck early and during what should be normal business hours. I appreciate the health concern, but I don't feel that I should be charged when I made every attempt to return during business hours.
