My experience with U-Haul was extremely frustrating from start to finish. I originally reserved a 16-foot truck in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Because I was concerned about availability, I called U-Haul ahead of time to confirm my reservation. To my surprise, I was told that no trucks were available and that I would need to drive nearly three hours to pick one up. Later, I received another call offering me a smaller 10-foot truck located about 45 minutes away. Although this was not what I reserved, I accepted because I was in the middle of a time-sensitive move. The problems didn’t stop there. After arriving in Rosenberg, Texas, I was informed that I would have to pay an additional $1,000 because the system incorrectly showed that I was supposed to return the truck to Brandon, Florida. This was never my intended destination and was clearly an error within U-Haul’s system. The entire process was disorganized, stressful, and poorly managed. I spent hours dealing with reservation issues, truck availability problems, and billing errors that should never have happened. A moving company should make relocation easier, not add unnecessary stress and unexpected costs. This was by far the worst truck rental experience I have ever had, and I would think twice before using U-Haul again. Atleast the lady at the drop location location help resolve the issue.
