ALITA CA logistical joke. Clearly, a strategy, U-Haul routinely rents out a reserved truck despite all of its customers attempts to call and check on and make sure the truck will be there— this has happened multiple times when using U-Haul for one way rentals. The strategy with one way rentals is clearly designed to maximize profits, but make no mistake. I will not get caught again by this disrespectful business plan with absolutely no thought to the end user. There is no disclosure or absolutely no training for their employees to let you in on their dirty little secret that they will absolutely give away your reservation and this is a strategy coming down from the top having experienced it multiple times. I literally watched a customer drive my 20 foot truck away while the U-Haul employee just shrugged his shoulders. Well done U-Haul, I will do my best to enlighten anyone to your business practices.

MICHAEL SNeeds to be more pick up friendly. No one was at the pick up location. It took about an hour for the mobile pick up. Not only that, I was charged over $50 extra dollars because no one told me the difference between an in town rental vs one way rental. This whole process sucked!

Kim AI was unsure exactly where to park this vehicle. There was a spot open near the other uhauls however the parking spot was very narrow. I didnt work with any personel so i dont know if they were helpful. The app wouldnt let me choose not applicable.

PATRICK NWhat a disaster. The U-Haul website selected this Frederick St location for me. I said no, I wanted a closer store. Both had the 9' cargo van I wanted. When my S-I-L arrived at the closer location, which was on the printed out receipt, they not only did not have a cargo van, they were not expecting us. The CSR did some online research, and found our reservation at the Frederick St store (the other side of town). Frederick St location was much cleaner and better organized than the closer store, but added more miles to our move. There were issues with returning our key at 1:30pm (after the store had closed) and we had to make a second trip back to complete the transaction the next morning. There is something to be said for low-tech drop boxes.
Kathleen ALeland was very pleasant and helpful. He was knowledgeable and efficient.
Kim AThe representative used a cell phone to take a picture of my drivers license, which I completely disagree with and do NOT approve. That should only be done by the customer if s/he chooses OR the information needs to be manually entered by the representative. It appeared to be a personal cell with the U-Hual application installed. It you have COMPANY phones, they should at least resemble one (orange, black, & white).

LJ MWe were fortunate to find this location since the one up the street where we had our reservation had a sign on the door saying closed due to emergency. I never received a phone call notifying me!

rayqwon sCustomer support needs more training. Made multiple calls to get issue resolved and kept getting transferred to new reps. Ended up loosing 3 hours of my time that I still paid for just to have the same issue at the time I had to return the rental. Worst customer service ever!
Karla AUpdate locks and or put a lil roof over lock boxes so that the locks are not in the weather.....it took me over an hour to get the app to work and then once it finally worked, the lock was rusty and I had to have my dad come mess with the lock cause it didn't matter what I did , it wouldn't open. And he even had a bit of an issue getting it open also. But other than that. Whole rest of the experience was good. Cust Serv rep was awesome and very helpful on the phone. Return was easy.
Crystal MI think there needs to be a better way of picking up a U-haul truck, the mobile app process is not friendly at all and either needs to be tweaked so it is, or it needs to go away because that whole process was terrible. It took me longer to check-in than it should have for me to start my moving journey
Tozanee SWindshield wiper needed replaced. We mentioned it and the staff didn’t offer any kind of solution, only a “I’m sorry.” Very difficult to see to drive. The inside of the cargo area was not swept clean. There were still things in the cargo area including a baby bottle and a pair of underwear to name a couple of items left behind.
