Uhaul was awful. I originally booked one location. Your representative called me and moved me to a location nearly 30 minutes away due to 'maintenance issues' I was clear that I needed the truck by 8 am and was assured by your representative that I could use mobile pickup. When I arrived the app told me I had to call because of an availability issue. When I called, they told me that the previous rep was wrong and I couldn't get the truck by mobile app. Then they asked if I would wait an hour for the location to open after I had gone out of my way. When I said no, they sent me to a location 20 minutes in a different direction. Then when I asked if there would be some compensation, she said I could apply for the $50 refund and when I asked how, I was put on hold for 40 minutes. 40 minutes. Think about that. Then once someone finally answered, they said they couldn't process it and I had to talk to the location attendant when I returned the truck. That's ridiculous. When I did return the truck, the gentleman was incredibly helpful and understanding, bit said he couldn't process the refund. Eventually, after another 30 minutes of waiting on hold. I received my refund. I would add this, no one except the gas station attendant said sorry. No one at uhaul said, hey we messed up. And I don't believe anyone will follow up or call me to truly understand my frustration, but I am writing this to see is you will.

I didn't realize where I was going. It was sorry of dark. But the worker was friendly and helpful when I called with a question on my way to return the truck. It was good to be able to drop it off that night.

I understand these trucks get beat up and overall, the truck was fine, but these two issues were obvious and obnoxious. I was glad I only drove 27 miles in it.

Stephen REVERYTHING was dirty. There was food and crumbs on the floor and cup holders. The outside was covered in red spots not sure if it was bugs or fruit. We moved in a rainy day, so we relied on the wipers… only to discover that they were SHREDDED. I’ve rented many uhauls and each experience get worse and worse and this one definitely takes the cake. Not to mention the guy working was not personable. When I walked in I said “Hi, I made a reservation for a truck at 11.” He just stared at me and said NOTHING. I then replied with “so what’s next?” When I have to initiate the next steps to the person providing ME a service, it’s automatically inadequate. 0/10… but 10/10 would NOT recommend.

NICHOLAS KMake sure starting & ending mileage is verified before renting van. Luckily I took a photo of my starting & ending mileage on my iPhone. The previous renter of the van provided the wrong ending mileage which caused a small delay in the drop-off process. Customer service was excellent at the Marathon dealer.

I would have preferred to use other locations for the sake of paying the extra mileage but was under a time constraint and couldn't wait for other stores to open. Only recommendation for future would be for location hours of operation to be listed clearly, as I went to two other locations that showed open online but were closed in person.

The van I rented was just fine though the bed was full of pinecone needles that should have been cleaned up. But no big deal. Pricing Ok except I thought the $.99/mile was pretty steep but that's a corporate edict I believe so not really a problem with the Naperville Marathon. I'd do it again though!

Insurance makes it a little costly, but happy it's available because to many people cut off large vehicles and the peace of mind you get knowing you're fully covered is great.

The web site would not allow me to capture a new photo, or upload one that I had taken myself. When I installed the app to complete the check in process, there was no apparent way to complete the check in process. When retuning the truck, I was able to use the app to capture the requested pictures, however the process was slow and frustrating to try and complete in a busy parking lot.
