UHaul scammed from this nonprofit because we were never told a truck that size had no ramp. The equipment we need to move is not bulky, so we don't need a bigger truck, but it's heavy so we cannot load it unload without a ramp. We moved nothing. Our time and money was wasted. My reservation was from 6PM. I reached there few minutes earlier and the representative wanted to charge me double the amount of receipt. When I asked for explanation he rudely replied he is only the third party. When I didn't receive a satisfactory answer I called UHaul; after waiting for 15 minutes I was told it's becos few minutes early. Anyway, by then it was past six and the computer was charging correct amount. The representative was very rude and belligerent and had no knowledge. The trailer itself was dirty with sand and other rubbish inside. Not a good experience. I have rented from UHaul before and always had good service. I hope this was an exception.Mohammed S.

I tried to return the van at approx 8:00 PM on Wednesday, but the clerk told me I had it until 7:00 AM Thursday, so I could keep it till then. I assume he was misinformed, but this cost me an extra day's rental charges. YOU NEED TO CLEARLY TELL THE CUSTOMERS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS DUE BACK. The documents are emailed, NO PHYSICAL COPY WAS GIVEN, and when the customer is busy moving, he/she doesn't have time to read the email! Hence. the problem.Wesley S.
Absolutely the best UHaul experience we have ever had. Minor request would be to clean the inside cab of the van occasionally (not even if after each use). It was pretty smelly and we had to cover the seats with cloth because they were so filled with stuff. But the back of the van was clean and it was in great shape overall. We will return!!GWENN L.

Have someone there who works for uhaul to help with the service. The only people there were a gas station clerk and car mechanic, neither of which worked for uhaul. No one was there to assist with hooking up the trailer and we had to ask the mechanic for help. Luckily he was nice and assisted us.Jacob H.

Seemed to be some issues with the U-Haul software the rental location was using but the attendant did not want to hold me up and just let me go without everything being perfect with the paperwork. Tank was full at pickup and the van ran well (only had 11,000 miles so it was in pretty good shape. Only issue I had was all the spaces were taken when I came back with the van so I had to park it in an odd spot. Other than that, all good.Michael V.
After moving a different location was preferred. I tried changing my location and was on hold for over two hours and was then told I had to drop off at original location. This does not make sense that I am not able to change drop off location. The pick up experience was great and in the past I have not had issues dropping off but this time caused me a large inconvenience.Spencer W.

The customer service at this location was efficient and friendly. BUT I am VERY unhappy with UHaul right now. The original location I had scheduled a month in advance was not open at my scheduled pick up time. I didn't even see a truck available on sight! I received no notification for changes in my reservation. I called customer service and was on hold back and forth for AN HOUR!! I was hung up on twice and spoke to FOUR different people. I almost didn't have a truck in my moving day!! This was turning into a disaster. I needed a truck THAT DAY! Fortunately, you have a customer service person David who was actually willing to help me. And he did. If it wasn't for this guy I probably would not have had a truck because of your other incompetent customer service people. Once he directed me to the alternate location, the process was easy. I am thankful to David and to this location for their great service.KRISTINE J.

Despite confirming on the phone the day before pickup, the location did not have the correct equipment. Person at location gave incorrect information and knew nothing about how to get the correct equipment. Despite checking in online, I had to do the entire check in process in person. This location was great. My comment is regarding the text message I got from Uhaul - it said upon return I was required to document condition of vehicle via photos taken with my cell phone, and if I did not I would be charged a fee - I think it was $30? But then the link didn't work, which caused me extra effort to ensure I wouldn't be charged the fee. Didn't appreciate that at all.JOHN C.

The employee did not know how to complete the transaction for me to pick up the rental. It took 45 minutes. He made multiple calls and FaceTime with someone for assistance. I was charge more then what was quoted I spoke to management at the location who told me it's not their problem if a new employee has a problem and that I need to understand. She has not resolved the overcharge.deanna H.

Disappointing to arrive for pickup and have low tire warnings. Waited for attendant to fill tires but warnings did not clear. Switched vans but never got a corrected contract showing that I had a different unit number. Glad I didn't have any issues while using the van since I had no proof that I was renting that van.Michael D.

Absolute chaos of a rental that wasted a good 2.5 hrs of time that I didn't have. I had selected mobile pick-up via Truck Share as I'd be getting the truck at 10PM on a Friday night and the Marathon would be closed. But earlier in the day Marathon called me to say that I had to pay then by credit card, I told them I was doing mobile pick-up but they said I still needed to pay then by credit card because they would be closed at 10PM. Didn't make sense to me but I paid and got an e-mail invoice. I then asked how to get the key, so they had me talk to the Uhaul regional manager Grant, and he apologized to me for having to get a call from Marathon and having to pay them, but not to worry because I could still get the truck via Truck Share. My flight back to Chicago was a little late so I got to Maraton at 10:30PM and tried to do Truck Share (took about 15 minutes of trying different phones, etc), but that option didn't show up on my phone. So I called Uhaul and was put on hold for about 30 minutes before someone answered and then heard my issued and transferred me to Truck Share where I waited again before someone answered and listened then said that they transferred it back to Truck Share and I should try it again with my phone. So, I tried Truck Share again and then it said I needed to pay some more money, which didn't make sense, so I did the 'chat' feature and chatted with a guy before he finally called me, and it was now 12:00 midnight exactly. I told him that I had already paid, that I could e-mail him the invoice to prove it, but he kept saying that the payment needed to be in their files and I just needed to pay in order to get the truck but he'd make not in the files about this so I could call later and they could see the notes and reverse it. I said no way. So I left (now 12:15AM). I showed up at 7AM (when Marathon opens) and no one was there so I called Uhaul and was on hold and then at 7:15AM someone from Marathon showed up and gave me the key to the truck. They had put the wrong equipment in the truck, so we made the change. I thought all was good - I finally had the truck after a little over 2 hrs of wasted time. About 2 hrs later I got a call from Marathon saying that I hadn't paid! I reminded them that I had paid them yesterday and had an invoice to prove it. They said no, I needed to pay. So frustrating. So I went back to Marathon and they person there showed me their computer screen and it was yellow, not green, which means I needed to pay. So we called Grant (the Uhaul manager) again and we got it sorted out. The problem was that they had changed my Uhaul truck, and the first truck was low on fuel so they had given me a credit for the fuel when I had paid by credit card but the second truck wasn't low on fuel so that triggered a repayment by me to Uhaul. Grant gave me a credit which wiped away this charge, which mad Marahon's computer go green, and I finally had the truck and was ready to go. I'll also say that the person I dealt with at Marathon was the same person all the time and she was not adequately trained in customer service. So, about 2.5 hrs of total wasted time in a very unnecessary, chaotic experience.Steven K.
I was sent to a gas station and the cashier for the gas station was the person I had to work with. He couldn't speak english nor did he ever check the van in from the previous owner so he couldn't check it out to me. I had to wait a decent amount of time for the cashier to call someone from ushaul and figure everything out.Joseph D.
Was sent to a gas station to pick up uhaul and there was no one from uhaul there. The clerk at the gas station was on the phone getting direction on how to hook up uhaul. We then had to go to an actual uhaul storage facility so they can correctly hook up and fix the lights for the uhaul. Truly it was a bad experienceEric H.

We reserved a furniture dolly which was key to our move and they didn't have it. This caused difficulty. Additionally , I chose this location due to the late hours listed and then received a 20 dollar surcharge for returning the vehicle in advance of my scheduled return time, a time that was within their posted hours. I was not provided with any form of receipt or proof that I returned the trailer. Eventually, I received an email confirmation that included a $20 extra day charge above my contracted rate even though I returned the trailer 1.5 hours early. I called them to have the excess charge removed They did not speak English and did not understand my request. They said they would look into it and call me back in one hour. They never called back.
