I ordered blankets, none were left in the vehicle even though I prepaid for them. The check engine light was on and I was told I needed to check and add oil if needed. Overall, horrible experience. However, area manager Cory gave me a discount for the inconvenience.Kathleen O.

I chose this location specifically because they had an in-person counter as I do not have the most up to date cell phone. When I arrived, the location was closed even though it was supposed to be open. I had great difficulty trying to do the online completion of my rental. I ultimately had to call the phone number listed. A woman answered the phone and told me that she had to go to another location to help out but she was aware that I was scheduled to check in in-person. She was very nice on the phone and agreed to travel back to the store while I continued to try and complete the final rental details online. The online rental required two additional "proof" things such as a passport, lease agreement (I own my home so did not have that), call my job to confirm who I am (I am a teacher so no one would answer), and two additional contact people. I had my husband available to confirm, but it was tough to find someone who was home or available at such short notice for confirmation. Had I been given this information ahead of time, I could have been prepared. I did not have access to my passport as I was 2.5 hours from home. all of this put us really behind schedule picking up our furniture and getting it home in time to return the vehicle. The employee was very polite and nice on the phone, I am just not happy with the messed up process we had to go through to get our truck. Had we been an older couple without tech skills, we would have been stuck without a truck.Michelle P.

The broken mirror on the truck made reversing difficultâ€¦. Not sure if it was a cleaner or and air freshenerâ€¦.but the cab smelled sickly sweetâ€¦. Overallâ€¦.the sound level in the cab was horrendous. It could be the nature of the vehicleâ€¦.but wasn't pleasant.William H.

At pick-up I looked inside the cargo area of the truck and it had not been swept clean by prior user or the rental site. The first thing I did when getting the truck home was to sweep it out. On 9/30 I returned the truck at 1:20pm during normal business hours but the rental office was closed and no one was around. I accidentally put the key in the wrong drop box given it was the only drop box by the office door. I later saw the Uhaul drop box which was around the corner of the building. It took us 45 mins to pick up our truck with the mobile app. No one was at the location even though we picked up at 10am. The lady only answered the phone one time and told us to check in on the app and get our truck that way. The app was not allowing us to pick up - it kept saying counter service needed. We finally got ahold of u-haul customer service. He was very helpful and he was able to make it so we could use the app to pick up our truck. We then got in the truck and realized they never put in the moving blankets we ordered. Thankfully by this point someone actually showed up to this location and we were able to get those blankets. When people are moving they tend to have strict deadlines. We were very far behind in our day at this point and had to rush to close on our house. This was not the location I had originally selected either. I wanted to pick up in Allendale which was 5 mins from my house. They didn't have a 26' truck so they called earlier in the week and had us go to Jenison which was 20 mins away. When you add up the driving time and the 45 mins it took to just get the truck it was a lot of time wasted. It was especially frustrating there was no one at the location to help us, and they wouldn't answer the phone after the initial conversation.Mitchell C.

I paid for a box truck for 2 days plus a furniture cart, an appliance dolly, and 6 furniture blankets. I used the mobile check in, and it never once told me to make sure that the extra stuff I ordered was in the truck before leaving, so of course when I got all the way home I found out that those items were NOT in the truck. I called UHaul and they said â€œwe will take the items offâ€. Upon getting my final bill, the items were still on there so I called and requested a refund for the $52 that those items cost. The lady told me that they would be removed and I would get a credit. When the credit arrived it was only for $20, not the $52 that I was actually owed. Very poor customer service for UHaul!Nicole M.

Truck was dropped off as required on a Monday but location was closed so their was no one to inspect truck at drop off. Later I am charged a cleanup of truck fee because they said truck was not clean. I have no way of proving otherwise. Read the order thoughly. I rent a truck (no complaint) and a hand truck and removed the furniture pads from my order. Early pickup, no hand truck, and there where furniture pads. Had to drive to another location to get a hand truck. And then rush to finish on time.Lance E.
