The ONLY reason I selected this location to return the truck was because they were "open on Sunday" when I wanted to return the truck. But Sunday was Easter, so they were closed. I think we have the technology to notify renters of changes in business schedules like that! Had I known they would be closed on Easter Sunday I would have selected another drop off location much closer to home on Monday morning.

The truck I used has a gas cap issue, so the mileage couldn't be seen or be verified. How are they going to properly charge me, idk. We set the mileage for 25-30 miles, but i did maybe 10.

This transaction was frustrating. I selected no insurance, and it was quite painful for the charge to be removed. Upon returning equipment the insurance was still showing on the bill. The young lady at the counter was trying to help. The manager from the Bellefontaine Store happen to come in. This is where things went from aggravating to not acceptable, when trying to figure out the bill the manager form the Bellefontaine store, actually told me to "do the math" in a very nasty manor. Basically UHal's billing practice is intentionally misleading and difficult to understand. I will tell you that after this interaction - we will NEVER use U-Haul again.

The equipment was mot in the truck on arrival, the truck itself had a check engine light on and would barely accelerate and i couldnt turn in back in once I left because no one would answer the phone for any if my nearly two dozen calls, will not rent from this location again and would actually like yo request a refund

1) 177k plus mileage Arizona plated truck’s steering wheel between 11 o’clock an 1 o’clock position grip was disintegrated; 2) upon returning vehicle, random guy walked up and claimed to be the owner, which was weird given we’re supposed to check truck in ourselves (nowadays)… Tip: if you’re going to do this, maybe have a professional uniform on so people may know you actually are the owner. Was just weird and unprofessional, maybe put yourself in customer’s shoes… 3) while inside was debris free, it seemed like the truck rarely if ever got a good cleaning.

Be sure the return time is communicated. The sales clerk told me that I had 24 hours and a sales clerk calls me the next day to tell me that it was due at 11pm the day I picked it up at 520 pm. The truck was already parked jn parking lot. They did not charge me for being "late" but acted like I was in the wrong even though I was misinformed. The clerk that called me just kept saying all Uhaul rentals are due back by 11 pm that night even when I told her about the original clerk told me 24 hours. I signed paperwork at pickup at 519 and she told me to have back next day at 520pm. I am Happy that I was not charged for being late.

Nothing to do with equipment everything was fine! We did have a bit of trouble with the App. With a bit of help from your chat feature picking up truck. Upon dropping off truck we tried several times to upload the picture of odometer and gas gauge but it was thinking and thinking nothing happened after several tries and about 10 min we just clicked the checkout without the picture

We arrive to pick up the 11:00 reservation at 10:50. We had such a hassle trying to get the key for the truck. Someone didn’t put it in the lock box that was on side and the location didn’t open until 11 to which it was a tanning salon. We had to go inside and wait for someone to finish talking to a customer about tanning just to stand there with the phone showing the worker it says to go inside to get the key. They couldn’t figure that part out for whatever reason, even tho it says to get the key inside NOT IN THE LOCK BOX. We got into the truck just after 11:15 and as I stated we were there 15mins early even through it states you can pick it up an hour early if your reservation time. We had to be somewhere because they closed by 1:00 and 11 was the earliest the truck was able to be picked up per U-Haul. Once we get in the truck there’s less than a quarter tank of gas. So we had to stop and get gas before we could go pick up what we needed. Not to mention the breaks are baddddd. They defiantly need replaced. Just a poor experience we valued not to rent U-Haul from there again. Such a hassle.

The location was not the issue for me. The location of the U-Haul was convenient in regards to my moving locations. However, the app and self-check- in option was VERY annoying. Self check in on the app took forever to be approved and I had to call and talk with a representative to get it approved and it was because the app wasn’t working!! Not only that, but once I finally did get checked in, the website asked me to confirm mileage on the truck, and confirm gas tank range BEFORE giving me the lockbox code to get the key for the truck! How am I supposed to confirm that information without the key?? Overall the process should’ve taken me 15 min to pick up the truck and it took an hour. It definitely made me question ever using U-Haul again… I do hope this issue will be fixed in the future! The app needs to be fixed immediately. Overall the location 5 stars- lady was super nice and helpful when I returned it later U-Haul themselves— 1 star

The cargo area was a little dirty but not a deal breaker. Would rather it be a little dirty than to have to pay a bogus cleaning fee. I did sweep it out before returning. But this location was able to accommodate me in less than 5 minutes after the original location messed up and the staff was hard working and friendly. I accidentally left my wallet in the vehicle and had to retrieve it an hour later without a problem. Crisis adverted.

Johnny helped me after we had ended up on a street with a similar name and that ended up taking us way further than what miles we were allotted. Thank you for saving us. Just moving to the state of Ohio and with no family around it has been such a blessing.

The drop off location was difficult to find. It was based out of a tanning salon but the trucks were to be dropped off elsewhere with the drop off box in a hard to find location. The instructions said to call when we got to the town and when I called the number was out of service. Overall, a very frustrating experience.

Neon Sun Tanning Sends you to the real dropoff which is in a grassy field way behind in the third aisle a place called Trees. Then you go to the second aisle behind Trees to drop the keys in a U-Haul orange box on a pole and the box is like 3x5x3 on a four foot pile with U-Haul stickers on it. This is to hopefully help others find it. Was not too hard but no one can tell you anything about it or where it is at. Do not ask the beverage store they are not associated to U-Haul. Good rental overall. Cleveland to bellefontaine in 11 foot tall truck cost 51.00 in gas at about 3.30 gallon rough.

We had a terrible experience - arrived at our reservation time to be told someone should have called to let us know our truck had not been returned and was not there. Spent over 2 hours waiting for truck to be returned and for the check out process before we could actually get our rental. Unable to check in previous renter, had to keep reentering our info and then unable to check us out, unable to print contract and just wanted us to sign a blank page. Return was no better. All links/emails said to return to Neon but Neon wanted it returned to a different site which was stressful and frustrating. After 45 minutes and moving truck 2x, we never could get check in online completed and had to hunt around back and get out of car to find drop box at 2nd location then they called us next day to inform us we had not returned the vehicle to the right location. We had, it was a different renter who had left another truck at their location which was what the directions were in all the links. Our whole day was completely changed and messed up because of all this. We would NOT recommend using this location, drive further if necessary to save the stress/frustration. It seems like this is just an extra money maker for this location and not an experienced or appropriate facility to provide u-haul services. There seemed to be no options to try if the process wasn't working correctly. The girl checking us out did her best and was trying to fix things but she ended up being just as frustrated as we were with the whole process.

The vehicles are not actually located at the address listed. Had to go to address to access share 24/7 then had to travel approximately a mile away to pick up truck. Then the reverse to drop off. I found this very frustrating and inconvenient.

Pick up location is different from what website says. In order to pick up or drop off you have to go to the website location, then drive a mile down the road to pick up the truck. Also, due to this the mileage and gas levels are incorrect.

App told me to drop off at 232 Patrick Ave., Urbana Oh. An attendant, luckily, caught me and told me the real drop off is behind Tree’s drive thru. It wasnn’t evident where key drop off box was; had to hunt for it.

There were so many issues with the system trying to rent this vehicle

This is the 4th time we’ve rented this location. 3 times we rented trucks & this time we rented an appliance dolly. We returned the dolly on the 29th, the day after we rented it. Yesterday & today we received phone calls that we didn’t return it. All kinds of questions were asked, who was the employee, what time, etc. Yesterday I was told it would be taken care but today I was told they’d have to check her cameras. Once might not be too bad, but this happened the last time we rented a truck too. I don’t know if it’s the computer system or the staff at this location but I don’t think we’ll go back. I’d rather pay more & rent from a company that doesn’t accuse people of stealing their equipment.

Was charge $76.00 at the beginning App told me the wrong drop off location at the start of the drop off process and then afterwards told me a different location so I took it to the location which they wanted it parked in this grassy area got the truck stuck had to leave it there for risk of tearing it up I was able to talk to one of the guys who’s said he works on them and he told me to leave it there 2 days afterwards I was charged $16.00 for miles I’m assuming and then Today I was just charged 93.95 basically double charged for a truck I used in town and kept it in good condition aside from THEIR drop off point being in a poor location Will not use uhaul again because they just stole an extra hundred dollars and their customer service team told me I would have to wait for a few days for the amount pending to be fixed? I never asked for you extra money to just be held up thanks for messing up my money uhaul

Change info that CSRs have... I called with a question that a CSR said I could do, but after speaking with representative in Urbana, the info the phone CSR relayed was completely wrong...I was not able to pay cash for my rental. This did NOT affect my score for the location, just left me with a sour taste for the CSR who gave me the wrong info.

Scheduled a mobile pick up so I could start my day off early. A few days before my reservation day someone called to tell me that there was a different pick up location than what was agreed on. 2 days later I receive another phone call where the woman seemed confused and had all the info incorrect ( pick up locations , times , ect ) she didn’t know how mobile pick up worked and I had to change my pick up time by an hour to make it more convenient for them. Get there and have redo all my information that I already filled out online. Took a lot of time and now I’m running behind. Had to drive around back to get the vehicle- clean well maintained drove great. Get back and park the truck exactly where it was when I picked it up. Get back to the office to drop the keys off when this lady told me I needed to drive this truck to a different drop off location. Frustrated I said absolutely not I had plans I was running late for due to horrible service. She calls her boss and they decide I can leave it where it is. She takes her time on the phone call, talking about everything else that has nothing to do with me, has absolutely no respect for my time, finally put the phone down and has an attitude about how the truck is parked in the back and how she has to go out and check it before I can leave. Comes back makes me wait for whatever else. No communication what so ever. I ask her can I leave now bc I checked my bank account and I already paid for it. Finally I get to leave and get on with my day. This was a disaster.. horrible customer service and absolutely wouldn’t go back

Location is good and there's always avaibilty bits it's always an issue to get the van. Usually always takes about 15 mins minimum to get the keys even if I was supposed to use my phone to complete all the steps and get the keys it still makes me go inside to get them and the ladies inside always have a tough time figuring it out even when I show them my phone and it says I'm just supposed to go inside to get the keys.

The man that rented it to me was very kind and gave me all the instructions because I had never rented a U-Haul before he made me feel very comfortable offered me in the the insurance that I accepted and that made me feel very good and everything went perfect I will definitely use U-Haul again thank you so much

The ramp was broken and had obviously been fixed with just duck tape. So that was inconvenient as we had to “unjam” it everytime we used it. The alignment was off too so the truck veered right which made it even harder to drive. Our equipment we ordered (utility dolly and furniture dolly) were not in the truck. There was almost no gas when we got it so I had to put $30 in the tank. There was no option to get reimbursed for that…

The Urbana location needs to have their staff better trained. It took me 1 hour for my reservation and when I picked it up a additional 20 minutes. The drop off point in Gadsden Alabama was very easy and the was staff knowledgeable.

We only drove the truck 7 miles. Put 3 gallons of gas back in truck and still charged us $7.20 for an additional gallon of gas. Doesn't add up with only driving 7 miles. Gas meter is apparently wrong on automated system. Not sure we would use them again. Seems like a lot of gas usage for only 7 miles which equals 2 miles per gallon of gas. Something is wrong here.

I was not able to utilize the trailer I tented because the truck I borrowed from my mom didn't have a light hookup. I asked if I could cancel my order and the woman told me no. I went in to talk to her about a refund and cancelation three times but she wouldn't help me.

Uhaul themselves needs to make sure the trucks are fixed and properly working so the next person doesn’t get into a situation like I did. The man who had to come out and do what he could with the truck to fix it said it looked the wrong parts were put on it last time.

So not the locations fault but Uhaul in general, we drove 4 hours to pick up a car hauler to purchase a car and was never notified of the location change, we had to drive an extra half hour away and an extra half hour back to our new location. We could have found any other uhaul along our route and not an hour total further… but we were not informed about location change.

Hire employees who give a shit. I called ahead to this location to rent an appliance dolly. Getting there, I was the only customer and it took me 45 minutes to rent the dolly, making me late for my appointment. The employee had a bad attitude and said 'we were welcome to try another uhaul'. I will, and will never recommend this rep to anyone else.
