MANDEL BAbsolutely horrible experience from the get. Could not check in on phone no one was at location decided to leave and not inform anyone that they were out of town. Using the phone app and checking in was a horrible experience. As well as returning the equipment. Will never not do in person check in ever again!

Andrew DI never received information on the process for picking up a U-Haul outside of normal business hours. I did not know that I had to download the U-Haul app or set up an account. Therefore, on the morning of pick up, I had to make two separate phone calls to Customer Service for assistance. Once I finally got the information for the process for this location, the photograph to help find the key to the U-Haul did not match the area. Once I was able to find the lock and keys to the U-Haul, the items (dolly, furniture mover, and blankets) I had reserved were not provided. Needless to say, the lack of communication and clarity caused me to be an hour behind on my schedule to get moved that day.

mark cI reserved the Uhaul a month before my moving date & 12hrs before I was supposed to pick it up, the reservation changed. Uhaul wanted me to go over an hour away to pick the van up. The new castle location (where I live) accommodated me but not only did I have to pick up & drop off at the same location instead of going one way, it costs me twice as much to rent because if this inconvenience. No composition, no 24-48hrs was given to me. I will never rent from Uhaul again.

Hector JThis is not a review for this specific location, rather for the overall U-Haul experience/company itself. I understand it’s hard to sometimes predict when/where certain equipment will be dropped off, but if I reserve a type of equipment weeks before at a specific location, there should be more of an effort in ensuring that equipment is at the location requested. You should at least have a notice to customers that equipment and pickup location isn’t guaranteed. Being told I needed to drive an hour and a half away to pick something up the day before I was moving across the country is ridiculous. Furthermore, never received the equipment I “reserved” resulting in needing to purchase additional equipment because of that. It sucks you guys have no direct competitors because if you did you’d be out of business in no time.

I'm sorry you employees aren't given the time to sleep, or even look professional for work, but that doesnt mean you have to be 100% useless at your job. 10/10 will never use these services again.
Roderick RJim is a life saver, very helpful and knowledgable, an absolute blessing going above and beyond to help me dissemble the auto-transport after hours. He made sure to be available even with a late departure due to a tire malfunction. I can't thank him enough, very much appreciate his help and ensuring my safety and return. Thank you Jim!
