I waited an hour past my reservation time for the man to show up. No one updated me or spoke to me. I had to keep calling. I was also overcharged and he gave me no explanation. He didn’t walk me to the truck and didn’t explain anything.

They gave us a truck total mess, so dirty. As well we put enough gas, more than we received it, and after they charged CA$9.40 extra for gas, this is unacceptable I have a photo like a proof.

Guy wasn't there when we returned the trailer. We called and he told us it would be fine just take pictures. Next day, he charged us an extra day. Called him to have it fixed and his response was "ya ya it'll get fixed, don't bug me about it"

The guys was late for more than 35 mins and had to wait another 60 mins until he completes the transaction. And when i returned the truck I fueled it up, but he charged for the fuel another 20 bucks anyway. When i asked about why I'm being charged someone else came from the back and asked us to leave property. Worst ever customer service. This person should not be a dealer since he's damaging the face of uhaul.

I was billed over $130 more than I should have been because the Uhaul system thought I drove 122 miles when in reality the distance driven was under 20 km. Thankfully this Uhaul location helped me get a refund.

I had booked the vehicle to pick up at 10 AM. No one showed up to help fulfill that order until 10:50. By the time he arrived there were three of us waiting to pick up our vehicles that were booked online.

The owner was not there when I arrived at 10 AM. Worked out most things over the phone and with a mechanic at ~ 11 AM. Actual paperwork was not completed until I returned the trailer and there were additional charges I did not request, but was too tired to argue about. A motorcycle rental whic was quoted at $14.95 + HST ended up being closer to $30.00

I waited more than 30 minutes to get somebody to attend me in their office then another 30 minutes to process the necessary papers the owner doing something in between. Talking to other customer on the phone. I got the truck at 11am instead of 10am and he want me to return at 6pm that is 7 hours of moving time, my booking is 8hrs originally I negotiated for 8 but he do not have any consideration, I am very upset. I am a regular customer of U-Haul and no problem on other locations.

Did not get truck booked, had to get a bigger one that used way more gas. Truck was dirty inside front and back. Owner made me wait 30 minutes for him to get to me on returning. My Visa card was used fraudulently a few hours later.

Get rid of tires I walked into by door... Marked my pants. Owner should not allow previous renter to run off for gas while I was waiting. Next time I will check the location out before renting.

Unless you know how to hook up your own trailer and check the lights etc. don't go to this location. The employee did not ask or even offer to help with the hook up and safety process.

Owner operator was late to show up for our designated pick up time. He was to be open at 10 am didn't show up till 10:40am. He was rude and not professional. Our original pick up location was changed to a different location which was further away from us and not as convenient. Was only informed of this change less than 24 hrs before our scheduled pick up time. Also our preferred pick up time was changed from 9am till 10 am when the new location was to be opened. Truck also had less fuel than indicated and had debris and garbage in cabin and box.

Owners like in this location bring shame to Uhaul. I was scheduled to pick up the truck at 10am, but the owner only showed up at 11:00am. I had to pay extra 200 dollars to 2 movers for 1 hour. Extremely unhappy with the whole experience at this location. Next time will rent a truck from Discount.

Please allow people who want to use u haul as a business to be time savy and considerate of their customers the owner was 1 1/2 hours late and I called him more than 3 times he said he has his own business to worry about he gave us a specific time to be there and took extremely long to show up never again

My reservation was transferred 3 times. Wasted my time going to the location and no one was there and the owner's reason is they are having a celebration on that day. I would not recommend using uhual even though they are very competitive but you get what you pay for.

Make sure moving Vans are cleaned before another customer rents and KM is noted correctly. I don't even have the time to call in and dispute the extra charges on the KM. I am better off renting from somewhere else or different location dive the guy took so long to cost the contract.

The only problem was that the office at 1285 Kennedy Rd.was not open on time:10:00 AM. The person came at 10:15 AM and he took a long time to do the paper work, did no t check the van. My husband left this place around 10:50AM.

I've used UHaul before, so I don't hold anything against the company. However, I had a terrible experience at the New Civic Autos Inc location. The owner told me I had to get the insurance or he would not let me rent the vehicle, which I later found out to be incorrect. He also put the wrong KM and Gas down on the contract, and had I not double checked when I entered the van, I would have ended up paying much, much more than what was in the contract. The van was filthy, it was not swept out at all, and had this weird odour. There is too much more to type here, and I plan to call UHaul to make a complaint against this location.

I had to wait 1.5 hours to obtain my rental. The agent in question directed me contact uhaul over what turned out to be his inability to figure out how use his system. Uhaul's poor customer service starts at the top though--because I was bounced around to various agents, once without explanation--each time having to wait on hold.

Overall I had a terrible experience. I reserved my 10ft uHal moving truck on September 24th for the date of Saturday October 1st from 12-5pm with the 740 Warden Ave location. Four days later on September 28th someone from that location called me and said that the 10ft truck was stolen and all they had left for me was a pick up truck. I asked if the representative had checked other locations to see if they had a 10ft truck for me and he said he did check but no other locations had it. I was expected to move an entire one bedroom apartment in a pick up truck, on a Saturday that poured rain, moving from the core of downtown to Scarborough. The representative didn't allow for any discount and said he would "throw in a free tarp since it's raining that day". Finally I called uHal customer service Friday September 30th and I explained the situation and the rep found me a cargo van at the 1285 Kennedy Rd location from 12-7pm for October 1st. I had to take this offer since the 10ft truck was still not available anywhere. - On my moving day the place where I picked up the cargo van the person wasn't at the store and made me wait an hour to pick up the truck! And, of course, when I finally got to move my stuff, I had one hour left reservation with my elevator and had to travel several times from downtown to Scarborough because the cargo van could NOT fit my whole one bedroom, which increases my mileage costing me more money. I am so disappointed with my entire moving experience to say the very least. I will not recommend uHal to any one. This all could have been avoided if the first gentleman did not try and keep my business and passed me on to customer service who could have potentially found me another 10ft truck in between downtown Toronto and Scarborough. I felt like no one I talked to empathized with my situation. We all know moving is stressful as it is, but this was by far the worst move I've ever had (and I've moved more times than you can count on one hand).

I booked at downtown, I was changed to scarborough without notification. I was told that "the system" shows that I was notified by text and email that I was bumped to a new location after I had already made the reservation but I wasnt. This cost me $120 on taxi to and from scarborough since I live in downtown. I was also told by customer "service" when I called uhaul that "reservations are subject to availability" which is another way of saying "reservations don't mean anything"; if the only way I will get a truck is to show up at a location and they will give me a truck only if they have one available at that time, what is the point of making a reservation? In scarborough I was scheduled to pick up the truck at 9:30. The owner was not there at 9:30 and did not come until 10:35 causing me to miss 1 1/2 hour out of the 3 hours that I had booked the elevator at my place. When I called the owner at 9:30 he was at bed and said he will be there in 20 minutes but did not show up until 10:35 and stopped answering his phone. When he finally showed up I protested politely why he was late and he said "if you want to argue with me I don't have to serve you". When I was returning the truck the next day at 9:30 the owner was not there again. There was another fellow who had an appointment at 9:30 waiting there and was very frustrated. I told him my story. The owner finally showed up around 10:30. I was told by him the previous day that the charge for a cargo van is 49 cents per km but on the invoice it was 59 cents. When I asked why, he said "oh sorry I forgot to mention weekends it is 59 cents". In my *life* I did not deal with as many rude, ignorant and incompetent people that I dealt with in the past two days who worked for uhaul. I commend you for still making money with these employees and with this much insulting your customers. Very unique business model. I will spread the word.

Booking made for 40 Barbados location went to pick up vehicle no rep no truck. Moving is stressful enough without being left with no vehicle. Phone calls and text elicited no response, in panic had to call other locations last minute. Civic Auto was a lifesaver

Truck was dirty, and and I mean really dirty, there were some small some left overs from the previous persons move in the back of the truck. Was not happy finding that out. Mileage was wrong on contract, gas was a lot lower when we picked it up than on contract. Only thing that saved us was taking pictures.

Pick up scheduled at 10am. Started calling the cell number from 9.50am . The person on the other end kept on saying i am on my way. After making two more calls finally the " Manager " arrived at 10.22am. No explanation given. I had a time sensitive pick up and a delivery which got 1.5hrs behind. Was told they close at five and gave me instruction what to do after hours. However i returned the truck approximatly 1.20pm. The " Manager" nor any U-haul associate was available. Few other customers were waiting for him. This is totally unprofessional and not a way to operate a service orianted business. This is an outfit that represent U-haul which. I will still deal with U-haul but take my business to another location.

Gas tank was empty when I had travelled 2 blocks. Put in $10 in gas and travelled 47 km. The man that rented me the van insisted that it was 3/8 full when I took off. I had to fill the van back to 3/8. Spent $23 in gas in total. I rented a 10ft uhaul truck on the weekend and made 3 trips to and from my home. Spent $12 in gas. This was a total rip off and I will never rent from uhaul again.

I had my reservation booked weeks in advance for pick up at 10am Saturday Feb 27. I called in advance a few days prior and asked what time I should arrive and I was advised between 930-10am. We arrived at 945 and the guy who operates this location did not arrive until 1030 so we had to wait for him to set up and it was 11am by the time we left his location. I had to call him 5 times on his cell phone after 10am before he answered to say he would be late. He was rude and did not offer an apology. This really messed up our day as we we're moving. Never use this location if you are booking a uhaul.

The owner showed up one hour late and had no excuse for the 4 customers who booked vehicles that day. When we returned the vehicle he was too busy taking personal calls to complete the return process and had to go out twice! to the vehicle to get information and was still talking on the phone! It took half an hour just to return the vehicle!!! I would not only not recommend this location. I would WARN people about this location. From now on I will rent from Enterprise.

I like to file a complaint against the U-haul rep at this location. My experience at this U-haul location was way below subpar. I reserved the U-haul truck for 10:00 o'clock AM and when I went to the location to pick up the U-haul truck, the rep was not present. The rep did not show up until roughly 10:30. Not only is this bad for business, the caused many delays and inconveniences regarding my move. Ironically enough, the U-haul rep called me the night prior asking me about my U-haul reservation and asking if I will still be needing the U-haul truck. I said yes, and then asked him what time does the shop open. He replied with, “the shop opens at 9 but I will be here around 9:30.” I asked the other workers at the shop and they tried calling him. When the rep finally showed up, he was fairly rude, with a poor attitude. When he handed me the contract to sign, he just expected me to sign without inspecting the truck nor reviewing the gas levels in the tank. When I said I wanted to see the truck first before I signed, he pretty much took the contract from me and said I can’t give you the contract without you signing it. He had no intentions of inspecting the truck with me. When we were about to go out to inspect the truck, he decides to chat with another customer who stepped into the shop without first finishing with our business transaction making us wait another couple minutes longer for him. Long story short, I reserved the truck for 10:00 AM, and did not drive off the lot with the truck until approximately 10:45 AM. Furthermore, I only had 20 minutes left on the service elevators I reserved due to this. Originally, I had 2 hours with the elevators, but because of this delay, I was left with only 20 minutes.

At 11 when I went there to pick up my truck,the location was closed!!!! Luckily I was able to get in touch with the owner hrough the contact number. He was at this home and wasn't aware that I have a reservation to pick up my truck. So instead of 11 I picked up my truck around 1' o clock.....it tooks him almost 2 hours to arrived at the location.That was one of worst experience ever I had.

Desk clerk performing multiple tasks including driving off with another client, had to wait for him to return to get car. Then had to wait while he had his lunch when returned car. Car had "Add Oil" so couldn't check mileage myself.

My experience with the agent wasn't the best, He hang up on me while talking to him. The cargo van wasn't clean at all, and full of water, my mattress was soaked in unclean water at the back mattress of the truck, please make sure that my experience won't happen again with me or anyone Thank you

Had 20min wait, even with express check-in on line. Truck was very dirty/dusty inside. Spilled dry coffee in the cup holders. Truck seemed to be maintained, no running issues. U-Haul did provide a service at a reasonable rate

I would recommend the operator of this site be more professional, polite and be patient with repeated customers like me, if you know what I mean? I have spent a lot of money, renting U-Haul trucks from this site, and deserve a better treatment than what I am receiving from the one running the site.

I had to pick up the truck at 9:30 am, the shop owner showed up around 10:45. I got the truck around 11am. The truck wasn't entirely clean. It screwed up my whole schedule for the day. When I returned, I told the shop owner I couldn't fill up the gas, I'm late because of you. He said: ok, then I'll charge your credit card. The truth is, he should pay the gas in exchange the trouble what he caused.

no one there at 10am to check me is as arranged. Took 30 minutes before I could get my truck. I came in the afternoon to rent a trolly. No one there to rent a trolly from. When I returned the van, the owner was ordering parts for a car before checking me in. When he started to go outside to check the van, he suddenly turned inside the garage to talk to his mechanic. Then he cam out, checked the van then drove off to re-park the van before starting to process me out. It was 15 minutes until I asked him, what he was doing, which he said he was checking me out. I told him I was in a hurry, to which he said it's ok I'll receive an email invoice, to which, I still have not received. Terrible. Simply terrible.

this location has a very poor service. It took me 30mins before i got the truck. checking-in online a night before didn't help. The truck is old, the engine is too loud ,gear shifting is bad.
