Great rental
Carl ASmall little garage with U-Haul as a side hustle. I funny like using these places, but this one was very friendly. He had time to check me in when I showed up.

RICHARD JI rented a $20 truck to help my son move home. I did my reservation online. No bells and whistles just the truck. Upon pick up the bill looked about correct as I looked at the total calculation miles in my head it was more or less there. Little did I know the guy added $15 insurance fee I had declined online! There was pink sticky and greasy matter on the passenger seat that I had to clean up. Seat was GROSS. My mistake to not have inspected my driver seat because I am now suffering from a lovely burning rash on back of my leg that is still there almost a week later! Upon returning the truck, 10 mins before closing the rental place was already closed for the long weekend. Not knowing what to do I finally saw the QR code on the door as I was trying to lock it. That checkout took forever! Then of course the about $70 bill suddenly was $110! I called and argued yesterday after the long weekend. I was refunded the $15 insurance fee I had declined. I mentioned my lovely thigh rash and no concern there from the phone representative. .

Heath BI was first helped by a nice gentleman when I was trying to do my rental through my phone. This was good although I paid for my reservation (and overpaid on my estimated mileage, 50 miles when I used 6, in case I needed it) he said that they didn’t have the furniture dolly I requested but they did have the other dolly in there for me. Much to my surprise it wasn’t in there when I got to my house which made it very difficult and frustrating. While returning the truck I had difficulties with the app crashing and not loading. When I finally got to the end it wanted to charge me more money for the trip that I had already paid for. I disputed it on the app and they said they would call me the next day… it’s been 2 and I haven’t heard anything back.

James BVehicle was really dirty on the interior of both cab and box. Uhauls virtual rental is not a seamless process. Some feedback on that- let the renter know they need to be verified, or verify beforehand so they’re not waiting at the rental location.
Jesse SOur reservation was rescheduled to this location for unknown reasons the day before I was set to pick up. I needed to move the next day so accepted despite the new location being 30 minutes away from where I needed adding on time to my move. The customer service rep was rude and suggested I take it or leave it. I show up the next day at the location at 10 minutes before 11 the scheduled pickup time. After another rental customer came to pick up their truck, they asked if we had done the mobile pick up yet, she'd been waitong 30 mintues for it to work. We said no we were doing counter pickup, where she then notofied as as a "local" that this location was closed on saturdays. Mobile pick up was the only option. I had originally scheduled my pick for counter service and was not notified or given any change to my account. I then went to the site to see if I could do a mobile pickup, and the was not an option the site provided me. It only allowed me to pick up from the closed shop at counter. I then called customer service where they told me I should be able to pick up, still wasn't, and said because the reservation still had the Dolly on it I couldn't do a mobile pick up. She could not remove this, so transferred me to another service rep. I waited for 15 minutes, to the get someone who could remove the dolly service, I ordered originally, so I could pick up the truck. The truck hadn't even been properly assigned to me so, he had to assign the truck on top of getting my account to allow mobile pickup. I wanted to ask for compensation for the massive waste of my time at this point, but he hung up on me mid ask. After 30 minutes of trying to get the app to let us pick up we were finally able to get the truck. We had to take close to 20 pictures of the drivers face, before one was accepted. We had to move our apartment move time back by 2 hrs because of this. I still had to pay full price for this frankly terrible service.

CATHERINE CMy U-Haul rental experience was miserable but it had nothing to do with the rental location. My problem was with U-Haul and the remote pickup app and procedure. I wish I would have known ahead of time that I was going to need so much id verification. I had my driver's license but I did not bring my passport with me on my trip from Delaware to Colorado. I didn't think I would need it to pick up a rental truck. Instead I needed to provide 3 references. If I had known ahead of time I would have found three friends or family members and had their phone numbers ready and them prepared to take a phone call to verify my identity. As it was I was sitting alone in a closed business parking lot on a Sunday morning trying to contact people to be my reference. And this is after I waited 15 minutes for an agent to reply to my question about the app being stalled on alternate contact verification. The app said I needed 2 sources, but apparently because I was out of state I needed three and there was nothing in the app telling me that. The app was miserable to figure out for someone who had not used it before. It needs to be tested with people who had nothing to do with creating it. When I had incorrect info entered it just froze. No only did it not indicate what was wrong, it didn't even say something was wrong. It just froze. The agent contact procedure should be improved also. I submitted a question but there was no indication that the question went through and might be looked at by someone. The first time I tried the question submission I waited 10 minutes and after not hearing anything I went back to the app and apparently that kicked me out of the question area because when I went back my question was gone. The vehicle pick up, which should be a 15-min process tops ended up taking me over an hour - the whole time with me stressed that this van I needed to move my daughter out was not going to be available to me on this Sunday - when I needed it - and I wouldn't be able to find one somewhere else - because it was a Sunday. The experience was terrible.
Tom FWe were VERY fortunate that the owner of Nicks Auto Repair arrived soon after us. We could NOT get the app to approve our reservation and give us our lockbox code. We waited 10 minutes with no success. It kept saying "waiting for approval". Then Nick arrived and processed our reservation. He was great!! But U-Haul was awful. I would not use your services again for fear that I would not be able to access my reservation. BIG FAIL!!!! And BTW, there was someone else there at the same time and he could not access his reservation either. So it wasn't my fault. Thank you.
David SHuge crack in windshield and dried mud throughout the interior driver and passenger sides. Also, not much gas in vehicle and was not sure I would make it to downtown Denver to Boulder but luckily it was fine. Just made me nervous and not a good exp when renting a vehicle to drive to another town

Julia RWell. You say, use the app for faster service. It took me 1hr 15mins to get my truck because your app was down and even then it was not very intuitive. My truck did not even come with everything i ordered, blankets and dolly but you sure tried to charge me for them even though I told the associate on the phone that they were not there and not to charge me. I was on the phone on hold for 30 mins and then another 30 to get the truck. We only had one day and certain time to move so this pushed us back an hour n half with guys waiting. It was all very frustrating. When I asked the associate on the phone to credit us this time she didn't even give me the courtesy of crediting the whole time it took. Only one hour. If it were my customer service dept and my app was down I would have given at least an hour extra for good customer service. I don't like using your app and doing all your work from a customer perspective. The last two times I have rented from you we have had some kind of fiasco. I will not be renting from you again and as a real estate agent I will direct my clients elsewhere as well. I'm sure this will fall on def ears and feel like I'm probably writing this for nothing. sonam sThe truck functioned as needed. The locks to get the keys are extremely filthy. There's some sort of black and brown residue all over them. It's quite disgusting. The Uhaul I got was muddy inside. The app also kept making me restart the pickup and return about 4 times.

Becky FPhone app pick up was somewhat frustrating. I thought i read through all the paper work the night before, but then had a lot to read through on the day of pickup. The information in the long document on the app was important and useful, but maybe shorten it to necessary bullet points so people will be more likely to read it. Also, uploading all the pictures used a lot of my phone data, and I had poor reception. Any way we could have Wi-Fi on site that would route the app through? Lastly, I tried to send someone a text in the middle of verifying for damage and somehow got an error message and lost the process in the app.
Ryan SThe pickup and delivery processes were both bad. The app doesn't work well and is buggy, and is unable to access location (despite being given location permissions). I spent a long time waiting for the app at both pick up and dropoff. The key lockbox was not clear on how to unlock, and the video in the app was for a different type of lock than the one I had. I ordered moving blankets, but they were not provided. While I got a refund for the cost, that didn't help me when I wanted moving blankets and didn't have them.
Brent Nthe chec-in process for a Share-Truck is confusing and poorly communicated before the check-in period. I had to find 2 people to be available by phone to verify as I waited in the rain at the pick-up location for my Share-Truck, which is one of the mandatory steps when checkin-in. It took me close to an hour to finally find 2 people who were by their phone in order for a UHaul rep to contact them. Surely you can find a better system than this.
