I’ve always rented U-Haul truck for local trips over the years. This 10 feet truck was loud, dirty, windshield was cracked. The truck has seen better days and it only had 79k miles.

James GLocation did no discuss online elements of the rental process. Location did not discuss how to access vehicle state walk-around (undamaged or previous damage to include dents) and report prior to my departure. U-Haul sent untitled message that was received as spam. Location attempted to talk me out of purchasing insurance. This was an unacceptable business process by both the location and U-Haul. I bought the comprehensive insurance coverage, had an uneventful move, the vehicle had only a small front bumper dent from an incident previous to my rental. U-Haul needs better processes and training.
Phillip WI rented the truck using the app, had to go inside store to pick up the keys. When I spoke to the lady and showed her the message on the app. she said she had already promised it to someone earlier, mind you, it was 7am, then I was asked to step aside so she could ring up customers, then she made a phone call, and still wouldn’t give me the keys. After verifying it on her computer and then made a copy of my drivers license and took my cell number I finally received the keys. Once I returned home, I called the customer service number to speak to a manager over her requesting my ID and number. He was more interested in the fact that I did not accept the fuel level of the truck because it said it was full when in fact it wasn’t and I told him I did take a picture of the full level and submitted it. He still refused to help and or answer any of my concerns. So after getting nowhere I could see it was just a waist of my time. Supposedly the phone calls are recorded, so for what it’s worth to anyone, I called on April 8th at 07:52am, the call lasted 13 minutes, the number I called (703) 584-7711. I turned the truck in with a complete FULL tank of gas and I returned it early just so I ensured there was no issues again.

vince tBeware, my car has a lower clearance than other cars. The Uhaul app let me know that my car would not clear the lip (to fasten my front tires). However, Nicks believed otherwise. Out of fear of ruining my car, I hired a professional to come out and fasten my car. I am so glad I did. The professional showed me how to make my car clear the lip. He lifted my bumper physically while his father slowly drove it into position to be fastened properly. Before backing my car off the trailer, we had to lift the bumper in order to prevent ripping it off my car. It all worked out beautifully, but it took a professional to make it work. Uhaul really needs to hire Allan Gray for this type of work. I highly recommend that your local Uhaul locations offer his services to people who don't know what they are doing. His expertise is invaluable. His number is 540-316-7465.
Kim MBy problem is not with location. U-haul rescheduled drop off from a site that was a couple of miles away from my unloading location that was initially given, to this one that was 25 miles away. Maybe a 50 mile round trip to turn in the truck when it should have been 5 doesn’t seem like much to them, after driving 1500 miles it was not appreciated!

Jehad HI was charged for 2 days and only had it for one day, truck had damage to it when I rented it, the cashier lady at the Bealeton Location didn't appear to know what she was doing, was the only person and had a line of people which made me a few minutes behind on the return time. I called Customer Service and was told that I would be refunded for one day of the Rental. Being Double Charged for 2 days instead of just one day, the final paperwork wasn't even the same for the truck (beginning fuel wasn't the same as the final paperwork, money amounts weren't the same, ect). Being Double Charged is completely unacceptable and I am still waiting for the refund. How can you charge someone for 2 days when it was just one day that the truck was rented and returned. I am not happy with the service or being double charged, will be utilizing another moving truck rental company the next time I move.

vince tThe pick up location and the staff at the location were wonderful! They were helpful and very nice. My complaint is the reservation agent. The reservation was made over the phone. The rates online are not the rates when speaking over the phone. The person taking the reservation and NOT the accuracy!. I specifically asked for a location providing the zip code. The reservation agent selected a pick up spot was 37 miles away that I was not aware he did until I spoke with a manager. The person taking the reservation quoted the price with 60 miles included in the price. I was told any additional mile over 60 would be $1 per mile. I was able to speak with a manager and the pick up location corrected to where I originally requested. After dropping off the truck, I was charged $35 for additional miles. The rate included only 34 miles NOT 60 miles! I traveled 69 miles. The reservation agent lied to me! I will share my experience reserving a Uhaul with everyone! I would not trust any reservation agent at Uhaul!

BerleMarianela HSmelled like goat piss in driver area and could see spot in between seats where the piss had taken place. Had to drive with windows open all the way to the destination. Lastly, there was only 3/4 of a tank in the Uhaul.

rick wWhen I booked my trailer I immediately received a confirmation, which was very appreciated. Then a whole week later and less than 24 hours before my trip I received a voicemail at 7:30 in the morning that my equipment was in fact not available and that my new pick up location was going to take me 45 minutes out of my way each way. This was upsetting because there was probably 10 other U-Haul locations within 5 miles of my original location. When I called the U-Haul number to complain about the inconvenience I was only offered a $20 discount which did not even cover my gas or time spent going out of my way. The whole experience was extremely nerve-racking because it happened at the very last minute before a long trip and I don’t feel that I was compensated for my inconvenience. I expect better customer service and performance from such a large and reputable company.
