The 26' truck I rented had its check engine light on when I picked it up. The light eventually went off a couple hours later after driving around town as we loaded the truck, but it was concerning given I was making a cross-country trip.

My rental was not even available at my original location so I had to go get a smaller truck 17 miles away, had no appliance dolly and no blankets to use. I was not given my $50 guarantee credit for my rental not being available, nor was I given any compensation for having to drive an extra 34 miles in my personal vehicle to get this truck to and from the place I had to go pick it up from... really unimpressed with UHaul at this point. But the people at Nicks were great and tried to help me the best they could and were very nice given the quandary I was placed in by the other location.

When I picked up the truck the store clerk said one of the dollies I requested was not on the truck. I asked if it was the furniture dolly and the clerk said yes. Actually, there was no dolly on the truck. The clerk said a dolly does not come with that size truck. I specifically ordered a dolly. Seriously, how can you move boxes without a dolly?

It had the right equipment at the right time, the paperwork was handled immediately, and there were no delays with hooking up a trailer and departing.

When I reserved the trailer I specifically declined the "safe tow" coverage. I entered my credit card information and drivers license pictures when I reserved and was quoted $18.95 + tax. When I picked up the trailer they once again asked for my credit card and drivers license.When they handed me the paperwork I tucked it in my pocket and left. I did not sign anything. When I got home I noticed that an additional charge of $8.00 for safe tow had been added to my credit card against my wishes. This place may be OK to rent from but make sure that you check the paperwork so that they can't sneak charges past you.

I was supposed to pick up the U-Haul at 1:00 pm. This location was late by twenty minutes with the arrival of the truck. I didn't end up leaving the location until 1:45 pm and I was on a time crunch. Truck was being used by a random person who was friends with the person working the front counter. Their system broke down while I was checking out which caused the clerk to have to call U-Haul for assistance and then I had to give my credit card information AGAIN, and in public over the phone. That is NOT a safe practice for payment. Additionally, the U-Haul person on the phone added insurance when I specifically told the clerk in store that I did not want insurance, and now I have to spend time calling U-Haul to make sure that charge is removed. Also, the person on the U-Haul was very short with me, and was rushing me and did not asked if I wanted insurance or not which should've been standard. I would not recommend this location. I did not have a good or smooth experience.

No one - customer or employee wore a mask at this country store location. Steering wheel had a lot of play. Charged me for Insurance I did not select online reservation.

Did an online reservation for a trailer. We chose to check in online, so we just had to go inside to let them know we were picking up. Drop off was the same way, just let them know we were dropping off & they provided us with a receipt and we were on our way. Super smooth transaction and a pleasant experience.

When we got to the location, I tried to use the mobile check-in and I was notified that some of the equipment I ordered was not available (Moving blankets and dolly). If I had known in advance I wasn't going to be able to get these items, I would have gone to a different location. This made our move much harder. Then, it would not let me check in because these items were not on the truck and the app said I had to go inside for help. When I went inside, the clerk said they couldn't help me and I had to call U-Haul. After talking to U-Haul, they had to call the clerk and then we were told to go back inside for help. We finally were able to check in but it was about a 45 minute ordeal.

The truck smelled of marijuana and cigarettes, there were sunflower seeds everywhere, some had been chewed and spit out. No tie downs were provided for the hand trucks and dolly's not to slide and bump around the 26' box truck, so I used my own rope. The staff and the cleanliness equals a completely unprofessional U-haul moving experience.

The location at which I first made the agreement , at the last minute, did not have the promised vehicle as agreed. U-Haul called me the day before and advised my vehicle would be available at a location about 20 miles further away. The pick-up and drop-off operation and folks were excellent. Problem was that at the last minute I had to drive an extra 40 miles at a extra cost to me of nearly a dollar a mile (plus gas) to get the vehicle which was originally supposed to be within my walking distance! Vehicle was fine as was the location I worked with. The whole experience was excellent--except for that last-minute pick-up/drop-off problem which cost me time and about an extra $50.
