melvin ODrop off location was different for the Uhaul truck and auto transport, but we had to turn around and bring the truck back to where we dropped off the auto transport anyway because there wasn't enough room at the second drop off location.

Rick HWas a muddy pick up site. Exterior of the trailer was dirty Was asked to hook up trailer myself but was fortunate to find a u haul mechanic fixing some other equipment. He helped me hook up the trailer. Would not recommend this location for pick up.
Greg Mrented a 5x8 trailer but could not use it as the door opening was only 4 ft, when I booked it I specifically asked if it was 5x8

DERRICK BAbsolutely no help in hooking up the trailer. It was snowed in, and also twisted my wrist trying to lift the trailer tounge out of the snow. Staff there don't seem to care. No safety check either. Will not be using that location again.

Michael WWe tried self check-in but it was glichy so we called and opted for counter check-in. It was unclear where the uhaul "counter" was. I assumed it was in the gas station but again it was very unclear. The truck was dirty and reeked of cigarette smoke with ashes all over. And the truck only had 1/4 tank of gas so we were forced to stop and get more right away.
Garrett HThere was only one guy in the store (or at least that’s what he said). He did the bare minimum. Computer was slow. He couldn’t come out to show us which trailer or help us hook up so thank god we knew what we were doing. He was friendly at least and answered a few of my questions. But overall, way more complaints thank positive.

Valerie ENot give out trucks with summer tires. Uhaul company as a unit needs to have better communication with customers. We were on the phone for 3 hours and transferred to 6 different people in order to get a new truck with proper tires because it is -25 and snowing and icy. Returning the truck was also a terrible experience as we were told we could drop off at any location and I specifically mentioned during pick up that I didn’t want to drive all the way back to that location as it’s an hour drive. The Uhaul company close to my new house would not take the truck, told us we would be charged a “wrong location fee” which is double the Uhaul cost and there was nothing they could do to help us. After fighting with them for over an hour we ended up having to drive that hour to drop off the truck and we were ALSO charged for mileage, so the bill was extremely high because of unnecessary driving. Never renting from Uhaul again! I will pick a local moving company next time.

Mark DThere should always be someone around to assist with hooking up. This staff member was left by herself and was unable to help. Fortunately I'm familiar with trailers and towing but I don't think that's the typical renter. Things could have gone very poorly and it would not be the fault of the employee if it had.

Philip Cpick up location was a gas station with 1 worker that kept helping customers as she tried to book me in. The process took over 45 min , which really tried my patience. She was trying hard but took way too long.
Steve BHe asked me if I was returning the uhaul back to their location I said no that i would be dropping it off in sherwood park and then I got a message saying that it was late and that I dropped it off at the wrong location. And was charged an extra 180 dollars for dropping it off at the wrong location. I filled a customer complaint. The whole point of using uhaul is so that you don't have to return it back to the original location. He even asked me again where I was dropping it off and I said sherwood park
Tim NThis location should be shut down immediately when I went to pick up my U-Haul. There was no help to hook my U-Haul up, and I hooked it up and the straps were all tangled up. I had to unhook that one and take another trailer and the customer service was very, very poor no help at all, and they were just laughing at me, definitely won’t be renting from these guys again

John MCheck in at this gas station was a bit chaotic as it is very busy. Having a computer for check in vs just a call phone would improve the process and help your staff. Id suggest it in the future.

Wayne BI’ve had previous reliability issues with U-Haul so I went to this location the day before my booking to ensure the truck would be ready and was told everything was in place. However, when I returned the next morning for pickup, the U-Haul app said no equipment had been assigned to my booking and the attendant told me nothing was available. He was going to send me to another location but after several minutes of negotiating he agreed to let me use the last vehicle in his lot. The U-Haul message that says your booking is “guaranteed” doesn’t mean much from my experience.

Rayhanah BStaff on the phone were not helpful or friendly, after trying twice to call for more information on returning our rental trailer. The mesh fencing was falling over and there’s no signage to indicate this is the correct area for u haul. I would not recommend this location.

Keith SWorst possible set up. U-Haul should be ashamed to put their name on this location - an absolute embarrassment. Staff can barely communicate in English and are more concerned with selling Redbull drinks, cigarettes and fried chicken. This is nothing but a crappy convenience store with a U-Haul logo. I will never go here again and advise anyone to stay away!!!
Alain CUhaul, They have confident staff, they went out of thier way to help out in my confirmed order. Edmonton area had a blizzard on going weeekend, and the unit had a accident, (This I didn't know) Uhaul called to make suggestion of another location haveing a simlar unit, Buy it was approx 25 klms south. But they assured that it was there and available. So thank you UHaul all went the way we had planned. THNKYOU so much. AWESOME SERVICE
Victor OWe got to the location for pickup at our scheduled time. I gave all of our information the night before (drivers license and such) to make it faster. The man at the counter confirmed our reservation and was giving us the key, suddenly he said “well your truck isn’t going to start. It’s too cold, you should’ve brought a booster”. That would’ve been nice to know as we drove 35 minutes to get there. He then went through our reservation, gave us the keys and said we could try to see if it can start, which I don’t think that is something we should have to deal with when we are paying and renting your truck. After a few minutes he then offered a booster he had in the back. We went out back to find our truck, my husband opened the hood to look for the battery which he was unable to find. I go back to ask the man at the counter and he was just sitting on his phone and said he doesn’t know. In the meantime, my husband noticed the cap for the brake fluid was gone so we asked for another truck. Found the battery location online but the cap was stuck on the second truck so we couldn’t attach the booster. Asked for a third truck, which the man inside kept giving us the wrong keys. Finally after driving around the building about 10 times we were able to get the right key and get our truck started. All in all, it was a very frustrating experience as we booked in advance so I felt like it should’ve been ready for us. The man behind the counter didn’t offer any help and it felt like we were brushed off every time we went in to ask for help or get another key. We were also always pushed to the side when someone else came in and he stopped helping us and helped the next person when we were there first. What should've been a 5 minute thing to get our truck and go, took over an hour in -40 degrees.

gerald hHave fully trained staff. The store employee did not appear to have knowledge of the system. It took roughly an hour to sign out the trailer, putting me behind schedule for the day. The only thing that I believe saves this location is that I returned the trailer after hours and the store employee checked the trailer in for me and saved me the trouble of doing self check in.

William MThe location is congested. The location is a busy Esso service station and with only one attendant who has to complete the task of managing the esso store front and the U-haul desk. Very slow service and difficult for the attendant to do their job.
Steve KCustomer service was brutal , also over charged on the mileage rate by $.21 p/km , your website sells a $.79 p/km rate and you charge $1 p/km , misleading information , no one could confirm the rate when we picked up the truck , there was no contract when picking up , had very lengthy conversation with customer service with no explanation for the over charge over all a very bad experience
Terry SOnline arrangements weren’t as easy as thought, however location staff were great in getting in touch with main office to resolve. they did so in a professional and helpful manner, making the rental experience overall great! once paperwork was in hand, very easy to hook up and confirm setup on vehicle was ok for travel.
