Never go to this location. I rented a truck from another branch because I had a bad experience with this one. But I received a call from Uhaul and they said you need to go to Scarborough branch because of the availability. After end of the trip, I refilled the tank, even more than enough, but they charged me for gas in the final bill. They had done the same thing at previous time!

I had a wonderful experience with this location and the owner (can’t remember his name unfortunately) gave me a great discount deal and it cut down the final cost by a lot, which worked perfect for me as a student on a budget. This location is hands down without a doubt the single best location in all the Toronto area, for sure going back to this location when I move out of college.

Truck had (minor) damage to the front end, steering misaligned and a couple warning lights lit up on the dash. Owner wanted to charge me $30 to fuel up 8 liters of gas plus another $30 for their trouble and gave me a hard time even after I returned to fuel the truck myself FULLER than when I received the truck. One good thing was that I was able to pick up the truck 15 minutes before open.

Hard to find the store, no instruction to pick up keys in the store, i was expecting a lockbox and had to call to support to find out it was in the store. The representative clearly doesn't know the process for car return, almost got away with the keys before we were able to make all the pictures inside. Maybe it's not about location, but overall service was very poor, company wasted 30+ minutes of my time on not being responsible for the custoemr journey and poor UX in the app. Sad.

I got double charge on my bill. I got the truck at noon and return at evening same day less than 11 hours but be charged two days. And I filled the gas same level once I got the truck but still be charged a lot of gas amount. Then I used about 300 dollars to rent half day truck(less than 11 hours) it is suck

The only issue my pick time was for 6pm previous renter was not back at 7 very late so they had to give me bigger truck which I was charge for being not my fault should of only paid for what I requested but over all the service was pretty good. Other than late rental and paying more.

First of all manager is so rude. Not even a sense of professionalism or courtesy. Second thing, I booked a dolly with the truck i rented. During the time of pickup PM1:00 dolly is not available he asked me to come back at 5PM to pick it up. Came back dolly is still no where. he ask me to pick it up myself in Scarborough in a rush hour. Not even my job to that and I booked the dolly days ahead it should be there as it should be. I ask to cancel the dolly he says he cant do it that time he just ask me to literally GO throw me out, not even apologize. Worst experience ever cannot recommend it to anyone. Leaves a doubt of me doing another business again. I don’t want to experience it again next time. Sorry.

The service was excellent. The cost of the vehicle, however, is another thing. If we had booked ahead, I guess we would’ve got a better deal. There were no smaller vehicles like a pick up truck with a hitch available which would’ve best suited our needs. Other companies have unlimited mileage that would’ve helped as well as it ended up being a very expensive bill.

I recently had a highly disappointing experience at the U-Haul pickup location at Nivetha Textile, 2541 Pharmacy Ave, Scarborough, ON M1W2K2. The place itself felt incredibly shady, which was unsettling from the moment we arrived. The owner was particularly mean and did not talk properly to either me or my friend, making the entire interaction uncomfortable and unprofessional. The owner's attitude and demeanor significantly diminish the presentation of the U-Haul brand. His unwelcoming behavior and lack of basic customer service skills are a poor reflection on the company. It's disheartening to see such a reputable brand represented so I strongly recommend looking at the Google reviews for this location to see that my experience is not unique. This location desperately needs improvement in both its customer service and overall atmosphere.

Hello, I am writing to declare my disbelief with the atrocious customer service provided to me with this rental experience. Your agents continuously provided misinformation and made guarantees that were completely false. 1) My reserved and guaranteed rental for 317 Sheppard Avenue East was not available. Your customer service agent notified me of this 1 hour prior to pick-up. Your agent then said she had arranged for an alternative pick-up site at 50 DONCASTER. She stated the office closed at 12 pm but I would still be able to use the 24/7 pick-up option through the app/website. I confirmed this TWICE with the agent who assured me yes I could do it despite the office being closed at my pick-up time. 2) Upon arrival at 50 DONCASTER at 12:30 I clicked on the text the agent had sent (see images below) and found my reservation had been completely cancelled. I called your customer support and they said that the office was closed and I could not use the 24/7 option at that site. I had confirmed twice with the agent who originally called who clearly provided the wrong information and/or didn't bother to confirm with the site. The agent I spoke to while at 50 DONCASTER then informed me the only available option was on the other side of the city which required an additional 15km trip at my own expense. This agent also stated they would be lowering my mileage cost from .79 cents per km to .69. This has also not been reflected in my final bill. So to summarize:- My reserved and guaranteed time/vehicle were not available at my location which according to your policy means I am entitled to your $50 guarantee.- Every agent I spoke to from your contact centre provided me with wrong information causing me to incur 30+ km of mileage at my own expense and- Your agents did not honor a price discount they had promised because of their errors The entire experience was an example of incredibly poor customer service and negative customer experience. I would encourage you to review the recorded calls. In the very least you should honor your $50 guarantee but the full fee should be refunded given this documented record of poor customer service. I will be forwarding this record to every possible facet of your company as an example of the need to do better in serving your customers. Frank Paul

The charges were not made clear while taking the vehicle. No one told us to refuel the vehicle or note the kilometres. When we went to return the vehicle they asked us to go back and put fuel in the vehicle. Also they randomly told us to pay for more kms than what we travelled. Then later they reduced it. Totally disorganised.

Store stank and was packed with things and very dirty. The man who took our truck drove it away and charged us the extra mileage! He charged us for gas even though I showed him pictures and then made us call customer service to waste anotherer 2 hours of our time.

First of all the main person at the location was very rude when I called him right outside his shop asking him am I at the right location he said no and he mid guided me to another location purposefully then I went inside and met him directly he had no answer why he misdirected me secondly he said there is no booking in my name without even checking the system .I showed him my u haul app and he is saying he don’t know about u haul app but he don’t have any booking with me .He made me wait 40 mins and gave me the vehicle after an argument.Then he said I should return the vehicle before 4 pm or else I will charged extra actually my booking was till 5 pm and it was reflecting in my u haul app but still he said he need it before 4 which I was forced to do I need an explanation for this from u haul I don’t blame the company it’s this one person and I also heard his abusing another customer over phone who booked an u haul pls take action and I need a response

Take pictures and video before you leave and return to the location of your mileage and fuel levels. I was charged an extra $65 because the location said they had to refuel the truck for me after I returned it. Luckily, I had pictures and a video for proof with the customer service on the phone line and got the charges reversed. I, personally will not be renting here again. If you do decide to rent here, remember to TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEO of EVERYTHING!

Unprofessional store manager, wanted me to drop the vehicle that day at 6:30 pm, which I did, he put wrong drop off time on receipt too, vehicle provided was dirty, wouldn’t let me drop off key at dropbox, put randomly charges and my bill 4x of original!

First, if you give potential customers a preferred option of where to pick up a vehicle, do not then have their pick up location almost 2 hours away from then. On top of that, then leave it to them to try and navigate a better solution. Also, the vendor at the new pick up location was rushed and did not provide thorough info.

This was by far the worst Ubaul pickup i’ve ever had. the owner of this location argued with or threatened every single customer in the 4 person line ahead of me. my pickup was 45min late, i was handed a keychain with no key on it, then he parked another vehicle in front of me for 10min while he assisted other renters. after that he would leave then come running back to me 3 times to ask random questions like if i know where the parking break is or to argue with me about when i was dropping it off, threatening to charge me another day if i was a minute late, even though he had delayed me 45min. This man is a menace and it’s truly irresponsible for you to continue letting him operate this business. I am confident you have received this feedback before and chosen to ignore it. truly unbelievable.

Requested truck was not available. Reached location on time but waited for one hour and got a bigger truck at the end. Also paid extra for that one. U haul representative at the location was not cooperative at all. Didnt provide any receipt and instructions for after hours drop off. Was expecting a 50$ refund because didnt get the truck size i wanted or atleast the amount which i paid extra for the bigger truck as it was of no need to me. Not recommended. As a first time user, Didnt expected to have this kind of experience with u haul.

The car didn’t smell good. The left tail light was broken. There was no indication that the car was a U-haul car (it was fully white). As soon as I got the keys from the shop owner, I tried going back to him to ask a question, he locked the door and left. And I was charged more than my receipt.

A furniture dolly was not available which i requested and paid for. I sent from pharmacy and Finch location to the Warden location and was charged extra kilometers for going back and forth to pick up the dolly. The gentle was rude. I'm not happy about the service and extra milage.
