Messy doesn't include the smoking smell. As a mon-smoker, I did not appreciate having to use a truck with a cigarette smell. I had to drive the truck with the window down to reduce the smell's effect. Mobile pick up hit a snag and finding the correct number to call was not very easy (general chat had to let us know which number to call). The support did help in the end which was appreciated.Carlo B.

At the beginning of picking up the truck, I have found that the gas is only about 1/8 in the tank. It didn't match what they showed me on the paper 1/4 tank. I took a picture right away. Call the company. The lady (female boss) came out to take a look. She said she acknowledged it. I had to fill up the gas right after. (I got gas bill to prove with time stated.) Done with the truck on the next day. I took anther picture on the gas meter from the same angle. (I got photos to prove.) It showed exactly the same amount of gas in the tank as I picked it up. The male boss came out with me, told me it's not the same. He told me to either drive out to get more gas myself or he would charge me on gas and the service. It would be more than $30. I had expected this since I found out something fishy at the beginning. I showed him the photos I took. I asked my wife to video record for me on the side. The male boss stopped arguing, finally sent me the receipt without all the extra charge. The whole argument took me about 15-20 minutes. There was a customer also witnessed this at the door. I have all the evidence to prove everything that happened is true. I don't know how many customers have been charged for extra if they don't know how to protect themselves. Horrible experience. I BOOKED 20' TRUCK BUT ORDER CHANGED TO 10'. THIS LOCATION PROVIDED 15' TRUCK. AS TRUCK SMALLER, I SPENT MORE TIME ORGANING FUNITURE FOR LOADING ALL. SO I RETURN TRUCK 1 HR LATE. THE AGENT CHARGED 1 MORE DAY RENTAL FEE. ALSO HIS ATTITUTE POOR, HE TRIED TO CHARGE ME MORE GAS, EVEN I FILLED MORE GAS THAN I PICKED UP. I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THIS EXPERIENCE. I booked 15' truck and furniture dolly a few days ahead of time to make sure I'll get the size of truck and equipment that I need but when I get to the site the store personnel told me that all their 15' trucks and furniture dolly were all out. I got no choice but to accept the 10' truck he offered and he suggested to me to take dual trips incase all my furniture won't fit in truck in 1 trip. I told him I can't afford to make dual or multiple trips since my destination is quiet far, it will double the cost of my expenses. And the truck is so dusty and the guy is not pleasant to speak with. I won't come back and won't recommend this location to anyone.JOSE STEVEDEL VA A.

Owner of the store came late after the promised time of 9 am and sent me a msg to give the truck back at 6 pm same day that is not a 24 hour rental I paid for . The guy I was dealing with is always irritated and unable to answer basis questions about the rental . the truck was not cleanMufeed R.

- My pick up location was changed last minute and also the dealer forced me to return the truck at the same location. The whole point of self drive ( to save $) and pick /drop location convenience is lost when u have to take a Uber to do up/ down to the location which is 50 km away. - The truck was leaking and the rain water damaged our furnitures and mattress during the move - I can send the pictures if required. I drove the truck 28miles but was charged for 177 miles even though I to him I didn't drive that amount. When I asked him to reverse the charge he blamed the error on me and told me he may get around to fixing it in 5 days. Worst service ever!!!!!Jean-Paul D.

This was an absolute nightmare. I was sent to the wrong location where there was no car available had to pay for two ubers to go to another location which was way further from my destination. I lost an hour of my elevator booking time and to top it off I had the MOST rude and disrespectful customer service rep who hung up on me and cancelled my order. Lastly, had to stay on the phone for 1.5 HOURS to talk to someone else. I will NEVER book a uhaul again and will be telling everyone and my social media followers about this experience.Mana M.
The owner is scamming people. This man is a crook and should be in jail. I left the store with a receipt for $86 and I got home to see a charge to my credit card for over $141. I have proof of mileage and gas tank level and he says I didn't fill it. Please fix this.ethan B.

My registration said I could checkin online via my u-haul account. I assumed due to COVID, that I would be able to get my vehicle keys via the app/lockbox. However, this did not seem to be possible and I had to go into the u-haul store. In this small plaza there is a small convince store with a u-haul sign. I went inside and they said they don't have anything to do with u-haul. If this is the case, the sign should be removed. After quite a bit of searching I found another store (a fabric shop) that had a small U-Haul sign. This was also not the location I originally reserved from. I also reserved one way, but we were made to do round trip instead. We placed our reservation months ago. Given this timing, it seems odd that almost none of what we reserved came to fruition (aside from the correct vehicle size).Mark A.

Had to ask where the truck was located and his wife/friend(?) had to respond because he was busy on the phone. The location is super hard to find, without appropriate signs (I understand it's because of covid, many shops are moving, but it's not updated on UHaul, nor on Google Maps). The staff is unprofessional, threw rental agreements, keys and pens, and asked everyone to sign on the same agreement, seems quite shady. The truck had dirty blanket still in it from the previous renter. The truck had check engine lights on. Overall not a pleasant experienceKAI TENG L.

I'm going to give this location a 'questionable' pass because it seems as though they were moving into a new location--a great location, by the way. There was no printer to print receipts. There was no form detailing the information of the vehicle, the mileage, any scratches, etc. The attendant gave me a piece of that already had someone else's signature and date. When I pointed this out, he simply crossed out the signature and instructed me to signI understand that where the vehicles are parked is safe; however, it's not practical for someone who might not be able to pull the vehicle out properly. When I returned the vehicle, the attendant asked me to park it where I got it from. Unfortunately, I told him that I couldn't park it. My opinion is that the vehicle should be brought out to the parking lot, by the attendant, for customers and customers should not have to return the vehicle from where it was taken. Professionalism is required. I think they can be improved with help. It's a good location, at a major intersection, which makes it ideal for pick-ups and drop-offs.vahan A.

If a person books a certain vehicle, it should be available. I rented the cargo van and for whatever reason it wasn't available. I waited 20 mins into my time until they gave me another one. They ended up giving me a vehicle twice it's size which I wasn't happy about. I deliberately rented the cargo van because I only had to transport a sofa and a work out cage. Not to mention the gas. The gas was eaten at a faster rate. A smaller one had just been returned but they refused to give it to me because someone else had rented it. Then they asked me to come back an hour earlier than what I had rented it for a certain amount of time. They were far more concerned in ensuring no one else's rental was affected but they felt my rental didn't really matter. I won't be renting a uhaul anytime soon.Theresa T.

The truck renter was very unprofessional. Moreover, I had to go to far away location from the initial location where I booked which caused a lot of inconvienece and more money to me. The truck was making s lot of noise and the gear was not shifting easily many times. Very bad experience.Rajendra B.
Booked for a van from a location near me; U-Haul CSR called and said the truck I wanted was not available and suggested a can to be picked from 2525 Pharmacy at 10am on the 1st of May. I arrived at 10am to pick up the van and the van was not available. My booking was from 10am to 4 pm (6 hours). By 1030 the van was not available whilst I was patiently turning to impatiently waiting. Your agent only came out and told me an alternate truck would he available at 11. Truck arrived at 1120 only for me to get it at 1130. Upon getting the truck at 1130 , I was told to return it at 4 after I had left (4.5 hours duration) which is 1.5 hours shy from my required time. I feel short changed, pressured and not getting quality service and value for money. It was after waiting for 45mins I started going through the Google review for the same premise; I am baffled as to why U-Haul still has this location operational based on the complains regarding quality of service, communications and equipment and truck availabilityNelson K.

I booked a 10 feet truck 20 days before the date, at the appointed time when I was on my way to pickup truck at 2525 Pharmacy Ave, Scarborough, they called me we only have VAN!!! I got so angry as the person on charge disconnected the phone several times at the morning on me. It was an awful experience with Uhaul and I never forgive them. I had booked elevator and moving Labor and it caused me lots of loss, as I couldn't move my furniture because the truck was small.Ehsan P.
