New location, just a trailer for an office

The cab of the van was fine, but I had to sweep the cargo space before I could load the van. The two gentlemen who did the paperwork were fantastic. Also, I wasn't thrilled with the online experience. I booked a van at the Bowness location and it changed it to the Nolan Hill location without asking.

I rent a 10' truck for a short trip yesterday and was told it was full of fuel but not true. After 23 miles drive, I filled the fuel up for $20. I am sure it wasn't filled full when I rented. Feeling a scam from U-haul

No office only a trailer , the unit was not swept out I had to do that , employees were good with the overall process

I booked mats and dolly but they did not gave me the day I got the truck as they said it is based on availability which seems ridiculous and then in this case, what would be the meaning of booking. Furthermore, the truck was 20' but did not have any back camera which made it hard for me to handle it.

Did you know that if you are able to book a uhaul it doesn't mean that there will be a uhaul available for you? We booked our uhaul and car transport for pick up in Prince George, BC. 2 days before our move between provinces we were notified that there were going to be no trucks available in all of Northern BC for us to use. Uhaul canada gave us a few options, the only one that worked for us was for my partner to fly (approx 700km) to Kelowna to pick up a truck. There was no resolution for not having a car transport. Thankfully my son was able to drive my partner's car across provinces and we flew him home. Uhaul did give us a larger truck to use and a large discount, but it did not cover the entire extra costs we incurred or compensate us for the extra lost time. It was a lot of added stress at an already stressful time. I was highly disappointed and not entirely satisfied with the outcome. I feel like the company should know what supplies are available and should not rent items they don't have, so that people can plan accordingly.

Our rental smelled like cow maneur and was filled with flies (at least 50 of them) Tried to get most of them out…but still came out and flew around all over. Horrible experience (and I’ve rented from uhaul before) - but now thinking I won’t again! Disgusting!

Overcrowded and understaffed. Only 1 guy in the office (rusted out semi trailer) and a huge lineup no one working in the yard. Upon returning the trailer I was asked to move it a couple of times and was guided by the same guy in the morning almost making me crash into other trailer’s. I will never use this location again.

The gentleman who runs this location is great. U-Haul as a company is terrible though. My reservation location was arbitrarily moved across the city, with no regard for the inconvenience whatsoever. I was unable to pick up the truck at the time I wanted because this location wasn't open yet, but no one bothered to inform me until the night before!

I was charged additional funds without being consulted first. If they wanted proof before charging they should’ve called. They should’ve emailed they have all my contact information. The truck ran like garbage.

Called them to ask if I could upgrade to a 26ft instead of the 20ft, guy on the phone said yes, if I could come pick it up a day earlier he would give me the day free cause they needed space - come to drop it off and I’m charged for an extra day because they were expecting it a day prior

Very efficient and friendly staff. Online help is very good at resolving issues too. Mine had 3 blankets but I never use them. Numerous minor scrapes and dings so I took extra photos. Also hail damage on DC2381H One thing you guys should do is put a big a** sticker indicating odometer is in miles. Both trucks I rented had Arizona plates! Thank you. I'll be back!

initial dolly was beat up and had damage to the rim on one of the wheels, second dolly was in better shape but as soon as i drove onto the road both ramps dropped out of the carrier slots and started dragging on the roadway. I had to pull over and reinsert and secure the ramps. Not impressed with the difficulty in identifying the office located in a transport trailer with a little 4 x 6 inch U-Haul sticker as the only identifying marking and the rental units were parked all over the neighborhood on the street.

Disappointed that mileage was 38 but charged for 50. Ended up being charged more than agreed on with the employee. Not happy about that. Need signage for where to meet employees for keys.

This location is poorly marked. All the units are parked all over the street, there is no definitive yard. The guy running it is very disorganized, he didn't have any of the units ready for pick. Honestly, it was a shit show.

The online drop off is absolutely terrible! It took me over 30 minutes to complete the process and rejected photos multiple times even thiugh I used the exact same photo again with no issues. This is unacceptable! Nothing should take this long. Talk to Turo about their app because I've uploaded more photos to this app with no issues at all. Such an incredible waste of time to drop this off.

Use a paved area for trailers being picked up in stead of a mud filled empty construction site !

When we picked up the trailer we rented, it was in a mud pit, with the hitch on the ground in the mud. The running lights didn’t work either. It may be because it’s a new location and doesn’t have a permanent building or lot yet, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth.

These guys were excellent to deal with. My vehicle was ready and it was clean and well maintained. No hassle check out and quick return. I will definitely go to this location for my U-Haul rental in the future.

We were dissatisfied that we could not drop our U-Haul off at the south location. We had to drive all the way from Okotoks back to Northwest Calgary because drop off in a different location was not allowed. This cost us extra mileage and extra gas and made our move twice as expensive as it could’ve been. Otherwise renting experience was fine. Office was a little difficult to find.

I know that I dropped the Truck off without filling the tank to the pre-rent level of 1/2 and was expecting extra fuel charges however, I was never shown what he wrote as the amount in the tank and he overestimated the amount he put in. I am certain, from looking at the rental documents that I was about 30 litres short, and the agent recorded that he used 60 litres. Perhaps he's pocketing the extra fuel somehow? Not sure. I would take care to check. My fault I didn't insist on seeing him measure and fill, but people are exhausted after a move and less likely to stay vigilant.
