I realize the site is new but hopefully they will upgrade to a real building from an old and dirty construction trailer with enough staff and proper amenities like desks, chairs, Internet, A/C, ext. As well, the lot was a gravel pit and really not suitable for most vehicles, thank heavens I had a truck.

Poor customer service and brake light was fused. When I asked to provide me another tailor, he said they don't have any another.

The person who received us at the lot could have been more hospitable. I was surprised he did not even come out and inspect the trailer when we brought it in. We asked for a printed copy of the receipt for our insurance company but he said they could only provide a digital copy.

My comments are related to the booking process. I booked a trailer that was confirmed in your system for a location in South Calgary for pick up at 7:30 PM. This location was selected as the system said they were open till 9 PM on Sunday.. I received no call or no text or no email telling me that that location did not have the trailer although the system said it did. I happened to Phone UHaul at 10am prior to making the eight hour journey to that location where I was informed that pick up was at 4:30 PM, but they did not have the trailer I needed. I do have a booking confirmation email that says pick up was at 7:30 PM, which gave me the necessary amount of time for the trip, but U-Haul decided to change it to 430 without telling me. In the call, the lady basically said I had to be down at another location in Calgary by 4:30 which is physically impossible. We ended up changing the U-Haul pick up location to the Red Deer location, again at 4:30. Red deer is 2 1/2 hours closer to where I was leaving from. I had to quickly pack and jump in the truck to make the 430 pick up. Four hours into that six hour journey I received a text from U-Haul saying they’ve canceled the trailer in Red Deer and moved it back to Calgary for a 430 pick up. I don’t know how U-Haul thinks people can drive all around the province picking up trailers when their system had confirmed that the trailer was available and there was no contact made. As I could not make the 430 pick up in Calgary I contacted the location and he was exceptional to deal with. We arranged a 8 AM pick up the following morning. He showed up at 7:30 and we got the trailer booked. That ended up pushing my whole Monday schedule back by two hours and I had the return journey back home for an eight hour trip. It made for a very long and stressful day. I am recommending to everybody I know not to use U-Haul as the booking system is beyond ridiculous. Once the reservation and the customer service at U-Haul via the phone was out of the way and I was at the pick up location there was Exceptional service.

the unit i rented, was ready to go, and the staff, though busy, were on top of everything, got me out in minutes....am moving, needing to rent a truck numerous times, this location is my 'go to' place..

The staff at this location at pickup and drop off times were Fantastic. The motorcycle trailer had gravel inside prior to pick up that the staff swept out for me.

I've been using this location for the past 14 years and have always had a great experience with the owner, who's incredibly supportive and helpful. Although I had an issue with the person on-site, the owner stepped in and resolved it promptly. He's very cooperative, and I've appreciated being able to reach out to him directly to book my truck whenever I need to.

The only reason it’s low scoring it because I dropped off after hours and wasn’t a fan of the gravel yard. It wasn’t inviting with its container office. This could change in staffed hours as it is the people that make a location inviting.

Dirty truck , check engine light was on. Office was a sea can. My info / card info was entered on a cellphone which was uncomfortable to saybthe least.

My experience returning the vehicle was great. I called uhaul to change our return location and I received a prompt call back, spoke with a friendly person and was able to schedule an after hours drop off at a site that could accommodate our large truck. I received confirmation of our return the next morning. The process was easy! This part of the experience was seamless.

I phoned the "when you arrive in the city" number to find the closest location. This was confirmed but when we got there they wouldn't take the truck so we were redirected to this location instead. Very frustrating to be shuffled around to different locations this often.

Emplyee did not go over truck with me for damage, gas or milage and was told to just take a picture. Then upon returning uhaul said there was leas gas in my truck than I received it with and stole and extra $80 from my deposit. I should have full return on $100 and have not received a call back for this issue yet and still have not received my deposit back. Don't know if I will rent again ever if it doesn't get resolved. I actually left almost a quarter tank more gas in it than I received it with and still took my deposit. I have rhe pictures to prove this also. Need someone to call me back. 403 888 7517

I was called at 7 am to tell me my local Uhaul did not have the trailer I booked and I had to go to Calgary to get one. Too late to change my plans so I had no choice. Still charged full price even though I returned trailer early and had to drive farther than planned to pick up/return.

Do NOT trust U-Haul's reservation "so-called" reservation confirmations. I understand that they are subject to prior customers' returns, but U-Haul could at least issue caveat warnings at the time of reserving. Such pathetic systems!
