Agent wouldn't accept 24/7 service request and would not rent me the truck. She was extremely rude and in pleasant. She cussed at me and told me to leave or give her money for time truck. Will never rent from there again. She makes UHaul look HORRIBLE in Ketchikan.Jeff W.

The person working the counter ridiculed me for wearing a mask even though the community was on high Covid status. She refused to help me until I took it off. We were a few hours late returning due to circumstances beyond our control. While the Agent did provide us with a phone number to call to try and get the additional $40 charge reversed I am surprised she was not able to waive the fee at that location.JAMES M.
Make it clear that the UHaul app is needed to pick up the rental. Online doesn't work. (After trying for about 10 minutes, I called customer service and waited for 15 minutes to talk to someone. She said online doesn't work for check-in. I had to download the app and sign in. There is spotty service at the Ketchikan UHaul location, so it took a long time. I parried my car to get the truck and came back to a warning that I would be towed. It was marked as being in a fire lane, but there were no signs posted. When I was turning in the key, I saw a small typewritten sign on the door stating that there was no parking. Since the office was closed, however, I had no reason to see that little sign before I got the truck. The time on the sticker was the time that I pulled out with the truck. Someone evidently watched for me to leave before going out and placing the sticker. I could go on and on, but I'll stop. It was a terrible experience.Gwenda S.

Experience with Bree was a nightmare! She was rude, (We have mot been hollared at by personnel before) deceptive, and told us she has her own policies and rules. Charged us an amount above our contract without consent or signature. Gives U Haul a very bad experience and reputation. I have literally never experienced such horrible customer service in my life. I will NEVER recommend this place as long as you keep your current manager.My Husband and I just bought our first home. We were so excited when we arrived at the u haul to finally move into our home. But when we arrived we were not greeted and instantly The agent at the location Bree Macauley was rude and demanding. Instead of welcoming us she greeted us with what are you here for and shut the door. She was short and snippy, extremely rude and brought our mood down real quick. To the point I about asked the lady what the hell her problem was. I am a SUPER friendly person and have never experienced this type of service before. I knew the previous manager and she was so friendly ! I was honestly nervous to begin with based off your previous reviews. You would think u haul would hire somebody whos going to bring in business not throw it away. Ohh and to top it off.. What was supposed to be 149.35 quickly turned into $275!!! The location is out of town, so was very difficult to get online to do self check in. The manager had the day off and didn't answer any of the phone numbers listed on the door. When I was done she called and accused me of stealing $3000 of merchandise that was supposedly in the back of the truck. Donations. She hadn't even checked the other trucks and threatened me that if I didn't return it she would be calling the police this morning. They haven't arrived yet, and I hope they don't. She accused me six years ago also, of not filling gas tank without even looking at it! Charged me extra money until I called, she went and looked at dash and finally removed the extra charge. She doesn't seem to be the kind of person for you to have running your business here.Wendy H.

Very disappointed in the $250 return fee for a representative to pick up the truck from The Ferry terminal and drive less than 10 mins. Explanation to cover their insurance seems excessive. Agent was rude. She didn't greet or even said thank you. This location also has Trump flags all over , I am a Republican but hate the man and I don't think business is a place to have personal things specially politics views displayed. It's a business not home. Never again will I rent in Ketchikan. Sad because the rep from Anchorage . was excellent and professional. I would close the location or get a real customer service oriented employee. Not only that she tried to charge me a cleaning fee on a truck that she loaded with a dirty hand truck because it was raining. So obviously wheels would be wet as well, all I transported was 2 boxes and she had the nerve to try to charge mea cleaning fee. To my luck I had a very pleasant rep in Anchorage who listened and took care of me . He should be the one running the location in Ketchikan.Nestor O.

Absolute professionalism. One of the finest managed businesses in Ketchikan. Last year before the prior management was put into place it was a total disaster. The building, office and rental equipment were in exceptional condition and the manager absolutely went out of her way to get the job done and get me on way quickly. I have rented vehicles from this location many times and this is my first comment because each and every time I come in..its always the same. Professional and friendly. First class every time. The Ketchikan location is not ideal. It's in a horrible service spot where it's nearly impossible to get Internet, let alone rent a vehicle. The whole experience was kind of terrible for us. I really need to thank the Kind gentleman, Ed in Anchorage Alaska for all of his help. Had it not been for him and a guy from North Carolina, we wouldn't have been in our new home had it not been for them. The truck itself had a leak in it and leaked rain water all over our bed frame and blankets.Trent B.

In Ketchikan the office hours are not available on Saturdays, so the customer is forced to rent a day early and pay for the day they don't need-- it would be nice if you made the online rental pick up available in Ketchikan so that we can pick up on Saturdays-- it was strange to be able to return on Sunday without anyone in the office, as well as pick up Friday evening without anyone in the office-- but I could not rent on Saturday, so had to pay for Friday when I didn't need the truck-- very disappointingSabrena V.

Also, was well priced and despite being a couple miles out of town still fine to access as there was a spot to leave my car overnight. That really saved the day! Chick couldn't manage to email my receipt, she didn't even log the unit in properly. Got a call from Anchorage asking when I was gonna return it. Then I had to drive to another storage lot park and unhook it my self. Folks in Anchorage had to sort out the entire contract bcuz of her. This incident will not preclude me from uhaul in the future, overall you are an outstanding outfit and the inability for one person to do her job correctly shouldn't reflect on the entire organization. To be fair a week later we got a new manager and she is fantastic.kenneth S.
