My reservation was for Saturday morning at 9:00am. When I arrived, the older gentleman was drinking coffee, had not turned the computer on and wasn't in any hurry to get me taken care of. He couldn't see the computer screen, decided to shuffle to bathroom to clean his glasses. It was as if I'd entered the twilight zone, he was sooooo sloooowwww, condescending, and clearly didn't know what he was doing. 50 minutes later we finally get outside to the trailer and he states he has a bad back and can't lift it onto the hitch. So my disabled son, who has had back surgery, had to lift it. This gentleman had no business being there by himself, he was incompetent and unable to physically do what needed done. The entire process took more than an hour for a reservation that was made with this location, via telephone, several days prior. By the time we left, there was a line of customers waiting. The facility itself is very nice, they just need a competent employee there on Saturday mornings.JOSEY S.
I have been trying to call you in regards to when I picked up my Uhaul. I was told at the pick up location that I had been put on "ehold" because of an accounting problem. Or there was an angry distributor that put me on a hold. This is discrimination. I had to wait and my fiancÃ© was waiting for me to get the Uhaul. It doesn't make sense because I always pay my Uhaul bills. I plan on moving my fiancÃ© and my brother in law from Indiana/Illinois to Fort Myers and wanted to use Uhaul but I feel as if this was discriminatory created an issue. I want this resolved. When I went to pick the trailer up the gentleman I rented it from was yelling cussing and swearing at me U-Haul didn't wanna do anything about it when I tried to return it I try to take it to one of your storage facilities so I can get the free month rent they didn't wanna do anything because it was the next town over and they were going to charge me a bunch more money and I told him never mind I will never recommend you all to anybody and I will never rent U-Haul equipment againrobert S.

This trailer was amazing, the best item I have ever rented from U-haul. Getting the trailer took a long time because the rental wasn't the same as what I rented online and it took several calls to Support to get everything straightened out.Nina A.

This location is excellent, they just don't have much inventory, I always get sent a hour away to pick up my.equipment then drop it off here 15 min. From my home. The problem. Is the system of keeping equipment for low use and telling customers there is nothing available within a 2hr drive and come to find out there were 2 air trailers and numerous dollies just 10 minutes from where I was picking up the car, and had to make.numeeous phone calls and endure alot of unneeded headaches and had to pay for a dolly and tow it 800 miles.and I couldn't use it and after getting a hold of the correct person I found out that there was a surpluss of what I needed just 10 min away after being told "nothing available within 2hrs. Wasted hours of time, atleast $100.00.of deisel fuel. Sorry but it was a Horrible, very over priced experience !!SHAWN C.

The trailer was perfect for our use, however the hitch on trailer cannot be locked to truck as with most hitches. Security issue if you have to park and leave trailer overnight attached to truck.Glenn D.

I ended up being redirected to this site to resolve the problem that I got sent to a location (Water St. in Decatur) that wasn't even open for business yet by the number listed for that location. Not only was that location closed, but the cargo van i was promised didn't even exist in Decatur that day. This site was great, U-Haul needs a LOT of improvement regarding renting over the phone, however. That was terrible. Also, the Water St. site had hours posted and no sign saying they were not yet open for business. I saw multiple customers walk up and walk away. Lost business!Victor S.

The only problem we had was that we were given a pick-up time that was before the office even opened. So, we had to drive home and return 45 minutes later. Also, when I reserved the rental, I was told I would have it all day. When I picked-up I was told I had to return it by 2:15. So, some miscommunication but otherwise employee that helped us was great, rental process was quick, truck was clean.CAROL S.

I have no issues with the pick up and drop off places. However, I would be hesitant to use Uhaul again due to the fact that I called to reserve a truck more than a week ahead of time but when it was time to pick it up, no one had what I had requested. At this point it was too late for me to call another place. I would have preferred that someone told me at the time of the reservation that you could not accommodate me. They ended up giving me a discount which was nice but I still had to leave quite a bit of my belongings in storage and will have to return for them at a later time. I would not recommend Uhaul to anyone because is is bad business.MANDATHA C.

Guy said he hadn't loaded a car trolley in awhile, wasn't exactly sure how load if are car was fwd or rwd. When we got an hour away or front tires were turned not straight and we couldn't adjust as we never shown how to loosen, overall could train your people in Decatur betterREGINA J.
You could take the signs out of the truck that say you get $25 back if you clean the truck. I made sure to sweep out the back of the truck never got $25 back.RICK M.

After ordering our truck through a near-by facility a month and a half in advance, I was informed the day before my move that the nearest available truck was 40 miles out of town. Prior to this call, I was not even informed that such a situation could occur. Because of this, I had to rearrange many carefully considered plans to accommodate for the long trip to pick up the moving truck. Had I, at the very least, been informed sooner of this inconvenience I could have arranged my plans accordingly. However, I feel that ordering the truck so far in advance should have prevented such a situation in the first place.JOHN C.
Getting to drop the truck off at this location was extremely helpful as it is the same place where we rented a storage unit for all the stuff we were hauling. Helpful staff at the desk, everything clean.CAROL S.
"attendant" taped exposed wires (3) together with electricians tape. This shorted out and blew fuse in truck for the running lights in trailer....causing me 2-3 hour delay and man-hours by another U-Haul location and the U-Haul roadside assistance. I had to call my Ford dealer (out of state) to locate the proper fuse.JIM M.

Both the place of pick up and drop off were excellent to deal with. This was a local rental but there was not a trailer available at the location I requested it from so I picked up in Decatur IL and dropped it off in Lincoln ILHAL B.
A bit out of the way. Originally I was scheduled for a closer location , but was told to change. I was concerned about the drop box at this location. It was really just a mailbox on the wall; not all that secure.MARK D.

We ended up having to take a truck bigger than we originally had gotten a quote for (almost double the size!) due to the 10' truck no longer being available. We were worried it would cost a lot more but it was less than $15 more. For a truck that size and a two day, one way rental, the price was great! And we had no problems renting or returning the truck. I will definitely be using uhaul again when we move next time!MATTHEW H.

When I arrived at this location, there was one person ahead of me. He told us to wait until he took care of him. Then another customer came in and he said that my drop off would take some time so he took care of this 2nd customer who was renting a pick up to drive to Indiana. Then another lady came in, and he took care of her for a rental unit. My friend and I just waited and waited. THEN the first customer asked my friend Caryn for a jump for his personal vehicle! Which she did. The man Larry behind the desk was totally rude and told me "you need to back up that truck and car transport!" So I did and he was very in rude. Then he would NOT believe me when I said the attendant in Darien marked and initialed the gas gauge to 7/8 ...... he said he did not believe me and did not know how to correct the gauge on his computer screen. He kept on and on stating the gauge left Darien FULL - I told him to call the Darien location to verify the 7/8 mark. He then said he would have to call his District Manager Bill and got him on the phone and said to Bill that He would need a psychiatrist when done with this transaction! I was shy on the gas gauge and we explained that I did not have the $$ to fill it to 7/8 so then said a promissory note was mentioned by Bill. I just spent my last $50 to fill the tank. I was evicted from my apartment in Darien and did not need the extra stress. I am staying temporarily with my friend Caryn until I can get on my feet again. I have never cried so much in my life and experienced such a stressful rude agent in my life! And due to being evicted, my church paid for this move with UHAUL! I sincerely hope that someone speak to this very rude and incompetent UHAUL representative before another customer is treated so poorly in a stressful time in their life.PATRICIA D.
